| 1 | Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: | Giustificati dunque per fede abbiamo pace presso Dio per mezzo di Gesù Cristo, nostro Signore, |
| 2 | By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. | per mezzo del quale abbiamo anche avuto, mediante la fede, l'accesso a questa grazia nella quale stiamo saldi e ci vantiamo nella speranza della gloria di Dio. |
| 3 | And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; | E non soltanto questo, ma ci vantiamo anche nelle afflizioni, sapendo che l'afflizione produce perseveranza, |
| 4 | And patience, experience; and experience, hope: | la perseveranza esperienza e l'esperienza speranza. |
| 5 | And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. | Or la speranza non confonde, perché l'amore di Dio è stato sparso nei nostri cuori per mezzo dello Spirito Santo che ci è stato dato. |
| 6 | For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. | Perché, mentre eravamo ancora senza forza, Cristo a suo tempo è morto per gli empi. |
| 7 | For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. | Difficilmente infatti qualcuno muore per un giusto; forse qualcuno ardirebbe morire per un uomo dabbene. |
| 8 | But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. | Ma Dio manifesta il suo amore verso di noi in questo che, mentre eravamo ancora peccatori, Cristo è morto per noi. |
| 9 | Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. | Molto più dunque, essendo ora giustificati nel suo sangue, saremo salvati dall'ira per mezzo di lui. |
| 10 | For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. | Infatti, se mentre eravamo nemici siamo stati riconciliati con Dio per mezzo della morte del suo Figlio, molto più ora, che siamo stati riconciliati, saremo salvati mediante la sua vita. |

| 12 | Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: | Perciò, come per mezzo di un solo uomo il peccato è entrato nel mondo e per mezzo del peccato la morte, così la morte si è estesa a tutti gli uomini, perché tutti hanno peccato; |
| 13 | (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. | perché, fino a che fu promulgata la legge, il peccato era nel mondo; ora il peccato non è imputato se non vi è legge; |
| 14 | Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. | ma la morte regnò da Adamo fino a Mosè anche su quelli che non avevano peccato con una trasgressione simile a quella di Adamo, che è figura di colui che doveva venire. |
| 15 | But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. | La grazia però non è come la trasgressione; se infatti per la trasgressione di uno solo quei molti sono morti, molto più la grazia di Dio e il dono per la grazia di un uomo, Gesù Cristo, hanno abbondato verso molti altri. |
| 16 | And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. | Riguardo al dono, non è avvenuto come per quell'uno che ha peccato, perché il giudizio produsse la condanna da una sola trasgressione, ma la grazia produsse la giustificazione da molte trasgressioni. |
| 17 | For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) | Infatti, se per la trasgressione di quell'uno solo la morte ha regnato a causa di quell'uno, molto di più coloro che ricevono l'abbondanza della grazia e del dono della giustizia regneranno nella vita per mezzo di quell'uno, che è Gesù Cristo. |
| 18 | Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. | Per cui, come per una sola trasgressione la condanna si è estesa a tutti gli uomini, così pure con un solo atto di giustizia la grazia si è estesa a tutti gli uomini in giustificazione di vita. |
| 19 | For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. | Infatti, come per la disubbidienza di un solo uomo i molti sono stati costituiti peccatori, così ancora per l'ubbidienza di uno solo i molti saranno costituiti giusti. |
| 20 | Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: | Or la legge intervenne affinché la trasgressione abbondasse; ma dove il peccato è abbondato, la grazia è sovrabbondata, |
| 21 | That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. | affinché come il peccato ha regnato nella morte, così anche la grazia regni per la giustizia a vita eterna per mezzo di Gesù Cristo, nostro Signore. |
