Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.Iniquities prevail against me: As for our transgressions, thou wilt forgive them.I peccati mi avevano sopraffatto, ma tu provvedi il perdono per le nostre trasgressioni.
Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach [unto thee], That he may dwell in thy courts: We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, Thy holy temple.
By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:By terrible things thou wilt answer us in righteousness, Oh God of our salvation, Thou that art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of them that are afar off upon the sea:Nella tua giustizia, tu ci rispondi con opere tremende, o DIO della nostra salvezza, tu che sei la speranza delle estremità della terra e dei mari lontani.
Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains, Being girded about with might;Con la tua potenza hai reso stabili i monti e li hai cinti di forza.
Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.Who stilleth the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.
They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice. They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.E quelli che abitano alle estremità della terra hanno paura dei tuoi prodigi; tu fai esplodere grida di gioia dall'oriente e dall'occidente.
Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it, Thou greatly enrichest it; The river of God is full of water: Thou providest them grain, when thou hast so prepared the earth.
Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.Thou waterest its furrows abundantly; Thou settlest the ridges thereof: Thou makest it soft with showers; Thou blessest the springing thereof.
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; And thy paths drop fatness.
They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness; And the hills are girded with joy.I pascoli del deserto grondano acqua e le colline sono ricoperte di letizia.
The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing. The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered over with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing.
