| 5 | He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. | Il aime la justice et la droiture; la terre est remplie de la gratuité de l'Eternel. |

| 8 | Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. | Que toute la terre craigne l'Eternel, que tous les habitants de la terre habitable le redoutent. |
| 9 | For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. | Car il a dit, et ce qu'il a dit a eu son être, il a commandé, et la chose a comparu. |
| 10 | The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. | L'Eternel dissipe le conseil des nations, il anéantit les desseins des peuples; |
| 11 | The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. | Mais le conseil de l'Eternel se soutient à toujours; les desseins de son coeur subsistent d'âge en âge. |
| 12 | Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. | Ô! que bienheureuse est la nation dont l'Eternel est le Dieu, et le peuple qu'il s'est choisi pour héritage! |
| 13 | The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. | L'Eternel regarde des Cieux, il voit tous les enfants des hommes. |
| 14 | From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. | Il prend garde du lieu de sa résidence à tous les habitants de la terre. |
| 15 | He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. | C'est lui qui forme également leur coeur, et qui prend garde à toutes leurs actions. |
| 16 | There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. | Le Roi n'est point sauvé par une grosse armée, et l'homme puissant n'échappe point par sa grande force. |
| 17 | An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. | Le cheval manque à sauver, et ne délivre point par la grandeur de sa force. |
| 18 | Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; | Voici, l'oeil de l'Eternel est sur ceux qui le craignent, sur ceux qui s'attendent à sa gratuité. |
| 19 | To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. | Afin qu'il les délivre de la mort, et les entretienne en vie durant la famine. |
| 20 | Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. | Notre âme s'est confiée en l'Eternel; il est notre aide et notre bouclier. |
| 21 | For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. | Certainement notre coeur se réjouira en lui, parce que nous avons mis notre assurance en son saint Nom. |
