[Why art thou so] far from helping me, [and from] the words of my groaning? |
| 2 | (22 :3) Mon Dieu ! je crie le jour, et tu ne réponds pas ; La nuit, et je n'ai point de repos. | O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou answerest not; And in the night season, and am not silent. |
| 3 | (22 :4) Pourtant tu es le Saint, Tu sièges au milieu des louanges d'Israël. | But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. |
| 4 | (22 :5) En toi se confiaient nos pères ; Ils se confiaient, et tu les délivrais. | Our fathers trusted in thee: They trusted, and thou didst deliver them. |
| 5 | (22 :6) Ils criaient à toi, et ils étaient sauvés ; Ils se confiaient en toi, et ils n'étaient point confus. | They cried unto thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not put to shame. |
| 6 | (22 :7) Et moi, je suis un ver et non un homme, L'opprobre des hommes et le méprisé du peuple. | But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people. |
| 7 | (22 :8) Tous ceux qui me voient se moquent de moi, Ils ouvrent la bouche, secouent la tête : | All they that see me laugh me to scorn: They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, [saying], |
| 8 | (22 :9) Recommande-toi à l'Éternel ! L'Éternel le sauvera, Il le délivrera, puisqu'il l'aime ! - | Commit [thyself] unto Jehovah; Let him deliver him: Let him rescue him, seeing he delighteth in him. |
| 9 | (22 :10) Oui, tu m'as fait sortir du sein maternel, Tu m'as mis en sûreté sur les mamelles de ma mère ; | But thou art he that took me out of the womb; Thou didst make me trust [when I was] upon my mother`s breasts. |
| 10 | (22 :11) Dès le sein maternel j'ai été sous ta garde, Dès le ventre de ma mère tu as été mon Dieu. | I was cast upon thee from the womb; Thou art my God since my mother bare me. |
| 11 | (22 :12) Ne t'éloigne pas de moi quand la détresse est proche, Quand personne ne vient à mon secours ! | Be not far from me; for trouble is near; For there is none to help. |
| 12 | (22 :13) De nombreux taureaux sont autour de moi, Des taureaux de Basan m'environnent. | Many bulls have compassed me; Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. |
| 13 | (22 :14) Ils ouvrent contre moi leur gueule, Semblables au lion qui déchire et rugit. | They gape upon me with their mouth, [As] a ravening and a roaring lion. |
| 14 | (22 :15) Je suis comme de l'eau qui s'écoule, Et tous mes os se séparent ; Mon coeur est comme de la cire, Il se fond dans mes entrailles. | I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me. |
| 15 | (22 :16) Ma force se dessèche comme l'argile, Et ma langue s'attache à mon palais ; Tu me réduis à la poussière de la mort. | My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death. |
| 16 | (22 :17) Car des chiens m'environnent, Une bande de scélérats rôdent autour de moi, Ils ont percé mes mains et mes pieds. | For dogs have compassed me: A company of evil-doers have inclosed me; They pierced my hands and my feet. |
| 17 | (22 :18) Je pourrais compter tous mes os. Eux, ils observent, ils me regardent ; | I may count all my bones; They look and stare upon me. |
| 18 | (22 :19) Ils se partagent mes vêtements, Ils tirent au sort ma tunique. | They part my garments among them, And upon my vesture do they cast lots. |
| 19 | (22 :20) Et toi, Éternel, ne t'éloigne pas ! Toi qui es ma force, viens en hâte à mon secours ! | But be not thou far off, O Jehovah: O thou my succor, haste thee to help me. |
| 20 | (22 :21) Protège mon âme contre le glaive, Ma vie contre le pouvoir des chiens ! | Deliver my soul from the sword, My darling from the power of the dog. |
| 21 | (22 :22) Sauve-moi de la gueule du lion, Délivre-moi des cornes du buffle ! | Save me from the lion`s mouth; Yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen thou hast answered me. |
| 22 | (22 :23) Je publierai ton nom parmi mes frères, Je te célébrerai au milieu de l'assemblée. | I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the assembly will I praise thee. |
| 23 | (22 :24) Vous qui craignez l'Éternel, louez-le ! Vous tous, postérité de Jacob, glorifiez-le ! Tremblez devant lui, vous tous, postérité d'Israël ! | Ye that fear Jehovah, praise him; All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; And stand in awe of him, all ye the seed of Israel. |
| 24 | (22 :25) Car il n'a ni mépris ni dédain pour les peines du misérable, Et il ne lui cache point sa face ; Mais il l'écoute quand il crie à lui. | For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath he hid his face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard. |
| 25 | (22 :26) Tu seras dans la grande assemblée l'objet de mes louanges ; J'accomplirai mes voeux en présence de ceux qui te craignent. | Of thee cometh my praise in the great assembly: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. |
| 26 | (22 :27) Les malheureux mangeront et se rassasieront, Ceux qui cherchent l'Éternel le célébreront. Que votre coeur vive à toujours ! | The meek shall eat and be satisfied; They shall praise Jehovah that seek after him: Let your heart live for ever. |
| 27 | (22 :28) Toutes les extrémités de la terre penseront à l'Éternel et se tourneront vers lui ; Toutes les familles des nations se prosterneront devant ta face. | All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto Jehovah; And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. |
| 28 | (22 :29) Car à l'Éternel appartient le règne : Il domine sur les nations. | For the kingdom is Jehovah`s; And he is the ruler over the nations. |
| 29 | (22 :30) Tous les puissants de la terre mangeront et se prosterneront aussi ; Devant lui s'inclineront tous ceux qui descendent dans la poussière, Ceux qui ne peuvent conserver leur vie. | All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship: All they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, Even he that cannot keep his soul alive. |
| 30 | (22 :31) La postérité le servira ; On parlera du Seigneur à la génération future. | A seed shall serve him; It shall be told of the Lord unto the [next] generation. |
| 31 | (22 :32) Quand elle viendra, elle annoncera sa justice, Elle annoncera son oeuvre au peuple nouveau-né. | They shall come and shall declare his righteousness Unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done it. Psalm 23 A Psalm of David. |
