Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:La sagesse a bâti sa maison; elle a taillé ses sept colonnes.Wisdom hath builded her house; She hath hewn out her seven pillars:La sapienza ha costruito la sua casa, ha intagliato le sue sette colonne.
She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table. She hath killed her beasts; She hath mingled her wine; She hath also furnished her table:Ha ammazzato i suoi animali, ha mescolato il suo vino e ha imbandito la sua tavola.
She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,Elle a envoyé ses servantes; du haut des lieux les plus élevés de la ville, elle crie:She hath sent forth her maidens; She crieth upon the highest places of the city:Ha mandato fuori le sue ancelle; dai luoghi più elevati della città essa grida:
Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,Que celui qui est ignorant entre ici! Et elle dit à ceux qui manquent d'intelligence:Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: As for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,Chi è sciocco venga qui!. A chi è privo di senno dice:
Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. Come, eat ye of my bread, And drink of the wine which I have mingled.
Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. Leave off, ye simple ones, and live; And walk in the way of understanding.
He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. He that correcteth a scoffer getteth to himself reviling; And he that reproveth a wicked man [getteth] himself a blot.
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. Reprove not a scoffer, lest he hate thee: Reprove a wise man, and he will love thee.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. Give [instruction] to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: Teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, And the years of thy life shall be increased.
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.Si tu es sage, tu es sage pour toi-même; si tu es moqueur, tu en porteras seul la peine. If thou art wise, thou art wise for thyself; And if thou scoffest, thou alone shalt bear it.Se sei saggio, sei saggio per te stesso se sei schernitore, tu solo ne porterai la pena.
A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing. The foolish woman is clamorous; [She is] simple, and knoweth nothing.
For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,Elle s'assied à la porte de la maison, sur un siège, dans les lieux élevés de la ville,And she sitteth at the door of her house, On a seat in the high places of the city,Siede alla porta della sua casa, su un seggio nei luoghi elevati della città,
To call passengers who go right on their ways:Pour crier aux passants qui vont droit leur chemin:To call to them that pass by, Who go right on their ways:per invitare quelli che passano per la via, che vanno diritti per la loro strada:
Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,Que celui qui est ignorant entre ici! Et elle dit à celui qui manque d'intelligence:Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither; And as for him that is void of understanding, she saith to him,Chi è sciocco venga qui!. E a chi è privo di senno dice:
Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. Stolen waters are sweet, And bread [eaten] in secret is pleasant.
But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell. But he knoweth not that the dead are there; That her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
