And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.Et voilà qu'une femme l'aborde, ayant la mise d'une courtisane et la dissimulation dans le coeur. And, behold, there met him a woman With the attire of a harlot, and wily of heart.
(She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:Elle est impétueuse et indomptable; ses pieds ne peuvent se reposer dans sa maison; She is clamorous and wilful; Her feet abide not in her house:
Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)tantôt dans la rue, tantôt sur les places, et près de tous les angles, elle se tient aux aguets. Now she is in the streets, now in the broad places, And lieth in wait at every corner.
So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,Elle saisit le jeune homme et l'embrasse, et avec un visage effronté lui dit : So she caught him, and kissed him, [And] with an impudent face she said unto him:
I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.« Je devais offrir des victimes pacifiques, aujourd'hui j'ai accompli mes voeux.Sacrifices of peace-offerings are with me; This day have I paid my vows.
Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.C'est pourquoi je suis sortie à ta rencontre, pour te chercher, et je t'ai trouvé.Therefore came I forth to meet thee, Diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.J'ai garni mon lit de couvertures, de tapis de fil d'Egypte.I have spread my couch with carpets of tapestry, With striped cloths of the yarn of Egypt.
