1Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.Celui qui s'isole suit son inclination; il s'obstine contre toute raison.He that separateth himself seeketh [his own] desire, And rageth against all sound wisdom.Chi si separa cerca la propria soddisfazione e si adira contro tutta la vera sapienza.
2A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.Ce n'est pas à la prudence que l'insensé prend plaisir; mais c'est à manifester ce qu'il a dans le coeur.A fool hath no delight in understanding, But only that his heart may reveal itself.Lo stolto non prende piacere nella prudenza, ma soltanto a mettere in mostra il suo cuore.
3When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.Quand le méchant vient, le mépris vient aussi, et avec l'opprobre vient l'ignominie.When the wicked cometh, there cometh also contempt, And with ignominy [cometh] reproach.Quando viene l'empio viene anche il disprezzo e con il disonore viene la vergogna.
4The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.Les paroles de la bouche d'un homme sont des eaux profondes; et la source de la sagesse est un torrent qui jaillit.The words of a man`s mouth are [as] deep waters; The wellspring of wisdom is [as] a flowing brook.Le parole della bocca di un uomo sono acque profonde; la fonte della sapienza è come un corso d'acqua che scorre gorgogliando.
5It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.Il n'est pas bon d'avoir égard à la personne du méchant, pour faire tort au juste dans le jugement.To respect the person of the wicked is not good, [Nor] to turn aside the righteous in judgment.Non è bene avere preferenze per l'empio, o far cadere il giusto nel giudizio.
6A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.Les lèvres de l'insensé amènent la querelle, et sa bouche appelle les coups.A fool`s lips enter into contention, And his mouth calleth for stripes.Le labbra dello stolto portano alle liti, e la sua bocca richiede percosse.
7A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.La bouche de l'insensé est une ruine pour lui, et ses lèvres sont un piège à son âme.A fool`s mouth is his destruction, And his lips are the snare of his soul.La bocca dello stolto è la sua rovina e le sue labbra sono un laccio per la sua vita.
8The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.Les paroles d'un médisant sont comme des friandises; elles pénètrent jusqu'au-dedans des entrailles.The words of a whisperer are as dainty morsels, And they go down into the innermost parts.Le parole del calunniatore sono come bocconcini prelibati, che scendono fino nell'intimo delle viscere,
9He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.Celui qui se relâche dans son ouvrage, est frère de celui qui dissipe ce qu'il a.He also that is slack in his work Is brother to him that is a destroyer.Anche colui che è pigro nel suo lavoro è fratello dell'uomo dissipatore.
10The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.Le nom de l'Éternel est une forte tour; le juste y court, et il y est dans une haute retraite.The name of Jehovah is a strong tower; The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.Il nome dell'Eterno è una forte torre; a lui corre il giusto ed è al sicuro.
11The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.Les biens du riche sont sa ville forte, et comme une haute muraille, dans son imagination.The rich man`s wealth is his strong city, And as a high wall in his own imagination.I beni del ricco sono la sua città forte, e a suo parere sono come un alto muro.
12Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.Le coeur de l'homme s'élève, avant que la ruine arrive; mais l'humilité précède la gloire.Before destruction the heart of man is haughty; And before honor [goeth] humility.Prima della rovina il cuore dell'uomo si innalza, ma prima della gloria viene l'umiltà.
13He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.Celui qui répond à un discours, avant que de l'avoir entendu, fait une folie et s'attire la confusion.He that giveth answer before he heareth, It is folly and shame unto him.Chi risponde a un argomento prima di averlo ascoltato, mostra la propria follia a sua vergogna.
14The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?L'esprit de l'homme le soutiendra dans la maladie; mais si l'esprit est abattu, qui le relèvera?The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; But a broken spirit who can bear?Lo spirito dell'uomo lo sostiene nella sua infermità, ma chi può sollevare uno spirito abbattuto?
15The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.Le coeur de l'homme intelligent acquiert de la science, et l'oreille des sages cherche la connaissance.The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; And the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.Il cuore dell'uomo prudente acquista conoscenza, anche l'orecchio dei saggi cerca la conoscenza.
16A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.Le présent d'un homme lui fait faire place, et lui donne accès auprès des grands.A man`s gift maketh room for him, And bringeth him before great men.Il regalo dell'uomo gli apre la strada e lo porta alla presenza dei grandi.
17He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.Celui qui plaide le premier, paraît juste; mais sa partie vient et l'examine.He that pleadeth his cause first [seemeth] just; But his neighbor cometh and searcheth him out.Il primo a perorare la propria causa sembra che abbia ragione; ma viene poi l'altro e lo esamina.
18The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty.Le sort termine les procès, et fait les partages entre les puissants.The lot causeth contentions to cease, And parteth between the mighty.La sorte fa cessare le liti e mette separazione fra i potenti.
19A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.Des frères divisés sont plus difficiles à gagner qu'une ville forte; et leurs différends sont comme les verrous d'un château.A brother offended [is harder to be won] than a strong city; And [such] contentions are like the bars of a castle.Un fratello offeso è come una città forte; e le liti come le sbarre di una fortezza.
20A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.C'est du fruit de sa bouche qu'un homme rassasie son corps; c'est du revenu de ses lèvres qu'il sera nourri.A man`s belly shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; With the increase of his lips shall he be satisfied.L'uomo sazia il ventre col frutto della sua bocca, egli si sazia col prodotto delle sue labbra.
21Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.La mort et la vie sont au pouvoir de la langue, et celui qui en aime l'usage, en mangera les fruits.Death and life are in the power of the tongue; And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.Morte e vita sono in potere della lingua; quelli che l'amano ne mangeranno i frutti.
22Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.Celui qui a trouvé une femme, a trouvé le bonheur; c'est une faveur qu'il obtient de l'Éternel.Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, And obtaineth favor of Jehovah.Chi ha trovato moglie ha trovato una buona cosa e ha ottenuto un favore dall'Eterno.
23The poor useth intreaties; but the rich answereth roughly.Le pauvre parle en suppliant; mais le riche répond avec dureté.The poor useth entreaties; But the rich answereth roughly.Il povero parla supplicando, il ricco invece risponde con durezza.
24A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.Celui qui a beaucoup de compagnons les a pour son malheur; mais il y a tel ami plus attaché qu'un frère.He that maketh many friends [doeth it] to his own destruction; But there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.L'uomo che ha molti amici deve pure mostrarsi amico, ma c'è un amico che sta più attaccato di un fratello.
