2The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.La langue des sages rend la science aimable; de la bouche des insensés déborde la folie.The tongue of the wise uttereth knowledge aright; But the mouth of fools poureth out folly.
3The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.Les yeux de Yahweh sont en tout lieu, observant les méchants et les bons.The eyes of Jehovah are in every place, Keeping watch upon the evil and the good.
4A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.la parole douce est un arbre de vie, mais la langue perverse brise le coeur.A gentle tongue is a tree of life; But perverseness therein is a breaking of the spirit.
5A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.L'insensé méprise l'instruction de son père, mais celui qui profite de la réprimande devient plus sage.A fool despiseth his father`s correction; But he that regardeth reproof getteth prudence.
6In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.Il y a grande richesse dans la maison du juste, mais il y a du trouble dans les gains du méchant.In the house of the righteous is much treasure; But in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
7The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.Les lèvres du sage répandent la science, mais non le coeur de l'insensé.The lips of the wise disperse knowledge; But the heart of the foolish [doeth] not so.
8The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.Le sacrifice des méchants est en horreur à Yahweh, mais la prière des hommes droits lui plaît.The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah; But the prayer of the upright is his delight.
9The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.La voie du méchant est en abomination à Yahweh, mais il aime celui qui poursuit la justice.The way of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah; But he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
10Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.Une correction sévère frappe celui qui abandonne le sentier; celui qui hait la réprimande mourra.There is grievous correction for him that forsaketh the way; [And] he that hateth reproof shall die.
11Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?Le schéol et l'abîme sont à nu devant Yahweh : combien plus les coeurs des enfants des hommes!Sheol and Abaddon are before Jehovah: How much more then the hearts of the children of men!
12A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.Le moqueur n'aime pas qu'on le reprenne, il ne va pas vers les sages.A scoffer loveth not to be reproved; He will not go unto the wise.
13A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.Un coeur joyeux rend le visage serein, mais, quand le coeur est triste, l'esprit est abattu.A glad heart maketh a cheerful countenance; But by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.
14The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.Le coeur intelligent cherche la science, mais la bouche des insensés se repaît de folie.The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge; But the mouth of fools feedeth on folly.
15All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.Tous les jours de l'affligé sont mauvais, mais le coeur content est un festin perpétuel.All the days of the afflicted are evil; But he that is of a cheerful heart [hath] a continual feast.
16Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.Mieux vaut peu avec la crainte de Yahweh, qu'un grand trésor avec le trouble.Better is little, with the fear of Jehovah, Than great treasure and trouble therewith.
17Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.Mieux vaut des légumes avec de l'affection, qu'un boeuf gras avec de la haine.Better is a dinner of herbs, where love is, Than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
18A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.L'homme violent excite des querelles, mais le patient apaise les disputes.A wrathful man stirreth up contention; But he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
19The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.Le chemin du paresseux est comme une haie d'épines, mais le sentier des hommes droits est aplani.The way of the sluggard is as a hedge of thorns; But the path of the upright is made a highway.
20A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.Un fils sage fait la joie de son père, et l'insensé méprise sa mère.A wise son maketh a glad father; But a foolish man despiseth his mother.
21Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.La folie est une joie pour l'homme dépourvu de sens, mais un homme intelligent suit le droit chemin.Folly is joy to him that is void of wisdom; But a man of understanding maketh straight his going.
22Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.Les projets échouent faute de délibération, mais ils réussissent quand il y a de nombreux conseillers.Where there is no counsel, purposes are disappointed; But in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
23A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!L'homme a de la joie pour une bonne réponse de sa bouche, et combien est agréable une parole dite à propos!A man hath joy in the answer of his mouth; And a word in due season, how good is it!
24The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.Le sage suit un sentier de vie qui mène en haut, pour se détourner du schéol qui est en bas.To the wise the way of life [goeth] upward, That he may depart from Sheol beneath.
25The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.Yahweh renverse la maison des orgueilleux, mais il affermit les bornes de la veuve.Jehovah will root up the house of the proud; But he will establish the border of the widow.
26The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.Les pensées mauvaises sont en horreur à Yahweh, mais les paroles bienveillantes sont pures à ses yeux.Evil devices are an abomination to Jehovah; But pleasant words [are] pure.
27He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.Celui qui est âpre au gain trouble sa maison, mais celui qui hait les présents vivra.He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; But he that hateth bribes shall live.
28The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.Le coeur du juste médite ce qu'il doit répondre, mais le mal jaillit de la bouche des méchants.The heart of the righteous studieth to answer; But the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
29The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.Yahweh est loin des méchants, mais il écoute la prière des justes.Jehovah is far from the wicked; But he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
30The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.Un regard bienveillant réjouit le coeur; une bonne nouvelle engraisse les os.The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart; [And] good tidings make the bones fat.
31The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.L'oreille qui écoute les réprimandes salutaires a sa demeure parmi les sages.The ear that hearkeneth to the reproof of life Shall abide among the wise.
32He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.Celui qui rejette la correction méprise son âme, mais celui qui écoute la réprimande acquiert la sagesse.He that refuseth correction despiseth his own soul; But he that hearkeneth to reproof getteth understanding.
33The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.La crainte de Yahweh est l'école de la sagesse, et l'humilité précède la gloire.The fear of Jehovah is the instruction of wisdom; And before honor [goeth] humility.
