Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow-worker,Paolo, prigioniero di Gesù Cristo e il fratello Timoteo, a Filemone, il nostro amato fratello e compagno d'opera,
And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:and to Apphia our sister, and to Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church in thy house:alla cara Apfia, ad Archippo, nostro compagno d'armi, e alla chiesa che è in casa tua:
Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.grazia a voi e pace da Dio nostro Padre e dal Signor Gesù Cristo.
I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,I thank my God always, making mention of thee in my prayers,lo rendo grazie al mio a Dio, ricordandomi sempre di te nelle mie preghiere,
Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;sentendo parlare del tuo amore e della fede che hai verso il Signore Gesù e verso tutti i santi,
That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.that the fellowship of thy faith may become effectual, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in you, unto Christ.affinché la comunione della tua fede sia efficace, nel riconoscimento di tutto il bene che è in voi, a motivo di Cristo Gesù.
For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.For I had much joy and comfort in thy love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through thee, brother.Noi infatti abbiamo provato una grande gioia e consolazione a motivo del tuo amore, poiché per mezzo tuo, fratello, i cuori dei santi sono stati ricreati.
Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,Wherefore, though I have all boldness in Christ to enjoin thee that which is befitting,Perciò, benché io abbia molta libertà in Cristo di comandarti ciò che è opportuno fare,
Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.yet for love`s sake I rather beseech, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner also of Christ Jesus:preferisco pregarti per amore, così come io sono, Paolo, vecchio ed ora anche prigioniero di Gesù Cristo;
I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:I beseech thee for my child, whom I have begotten in my bonds, Onesimus,ti prego per il mio figlio Onesimo che ho generato nelle mie catene,
Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:who once was unprofitable to thee, but now is profitable to thee and to me:il quale un tempo ti è stato inutile ma che ora è utile a te e a me.
Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:whom I have sent back to thee in his own person, that is, my very heart:Te l'ho rimandato; or tu accoglilo, come se ricevessi il mio stesso cuore.
Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:whom I would fain have kept with me, that in thy behalf he might minister unto me in the bonds of the gospel:Avrei voluto trattenerlo presso di me, perché mi servisse al tuo posto nelle catene che porto a motivo dell'evangelo;
But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.but without thy mind I would do nothing; that thy goodness should not be as of necessity, but of free will.ma non ho voluto far nulla senza il tuo parere, affinché il bene che farai non venga da costrizione, ma da spontanea volontà.
For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;For perhaps he was therefore parted [from thee] for a season, that thou shouldest have him for ever;Infatti, forse per questo motivo egli è stato separato da te per breve tempo, perché tu lo riavessi per sempre,
Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?no longer as a servant, but more than a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much rather to thee, both in the flesh and in the Lord.non più però come schiavo, ma molto più che schiavo, come un fratello a me carissimo, ma ora molto più a te, tanto nella carne che nel Signore.
If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.If then thou countest me a partner, receive him as myself.Se dunque mi ritieni come socio, accoglilo come me stesso.
If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;But if he hath wronged the at all, or oweth [thee] aught, put that to mine account;E se ti ha fatto qualche torto, o ti deve qualcosa, addebitalo a me.
I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.I Paul write it with mine own hand, I will repay it: that I say not unto thee that thou owest to me even thine own self besides.Io, Paolo, ho scritto questo di mia propria mano. Pagherò io stesso; per non dirti che mi sei debitore perfino di te stesso.
Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my heart in Christ.Sì, fratello, possa io avere questo favore nel Signore; ricrea il mio cuore nel Signore.
Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.Having confidence in thine obedience I write unto thee, knowing that thou wilt do even beyond what I say.Ti ho scritto fiducioso nella tua ubbidienza, sapendo che tu farai anche più di ciò che dico.
But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I hope that through your prayers I shall be granted unto you.Nel medesimo tempo preparami anche un alloggio, perché spero, grazie alle vostre preghiere, di esservi ridato.
There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus, saluteth thee;Epafra, prigioniero con me in Cristo Gesù,
Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.[and so do] Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow-workers.Marco, Aristarco, Dema e Luca miei compagni d'opera, ti salutano.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.La grazia del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo sia con il vostro spirito. Amen.
