| 3 | Vous la ferez en sa saison, le quatorzième jour de ce mois entre les deux vêpres, selon toutes ses ordonnances, et selon tout ce qu'il y faut faire. | In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in its appointed season: according to all the statutes of it, and according to all the ordinances thereof, shall ye keep it. |
| 4 | Moïse donc parla aux enfants d'Israël, afin qu'ils fissent la Pâque. | And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover. |
| 5 | Et ils firent la Pâque au premier mois, le quatorzième jour du mois, entre les deux vêpres, au désert de Sinaï; selon tout ce que l'Eternel avait commandé à Moïse, les enfants d'Israël le firent ainsi. | And they kept the passover in the first [month], on the fourteenth day of the month, at even, in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel. |
| 6 | Or il y en eut quelques-uns qui étant souillés pour un mort ne purent point faire la Pâque ce jour-là, et ils se présentèrent ce même jour devant Moïse et devant Aaron. | And there were certain men, who were unclean by reason of the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day: |
| 7 | Et ces hommes-là leur dirent: Nous sommes souillés pour un mort, pourquoi serions-nous privés d'offrir l'offrande à l'Eternel en sa saison parmi les enfants d'Israël? | and those men said unto him, We are unclean by reason of the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer the oblation of Jehovah in its appointed season among the children of Israel? |
| 8 | Et Moïse leur dit: Arrêtez-vous, et j'entendrai ce que l'Eternel commandera sur votre sujet. | And Moses said unto them, Stay ye, that I may hear what Jehovah will command concerning you. |
| 9 | Alors l'Eternel parla à Moïse, en disant: | And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, |
| 10 | Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et leur dis: Quand quelqu'un d'entre vous, ou de votre postérité, sera souillé pour un mort, ou qu'il sera en voyage dans un lieu éloigné, il fera cependant la Pâque à l'Eternel. | Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your generations shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be on a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto Jehovah. |
| 11 | Ils la feront le quatorzième jour du second mois entre les deux vêpres; et ils la mangeront avec du pain sans levain, et des herbes amères. | In the second month on the fourteenth day at even they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs: |
| 12 | Ils n'en laisseront rien jusqu'au matin, et n'en casseront point les os; ils la feront selon toute l'ordonnance de la Pâque. | they shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break a bone thereof: according to all the statute of the passover they shall keep it. |
| 13 | Mais si quelqu'un étant net, ou n'étant point en voyage, s'abstient de faire la Pâque, cette personne-là sera retranchée d'entre ses peuples; cet homme-là portera son péché, parce qu'il n'aura point offert l'offrande de l'Eternel en sa saison. | But the man that is clean, and is not on a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people; because he offered not the oblation of Jehovah in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin. |
| 14 | Et quand quelque étranger qui habitera parmi vous fera la Pâque à l'Eternel, il la fera selon l'ordonnance de la Pâque, et selon qu'il la faut faire. II y aura une même ordonnance entre vous, pour l'étranger et pour celui qui est né au pays. | And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto Jehovah; according to the statute of the passover, and according to the ordinance thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one statute, both for the sojourner, and for him that is born in the land. |
| 15 | Or le jour que le pavillon fut dressé la nuée couvrit le pavillon sur le Tabernacle du Témoignage; et le soir elle parut comme un feu sur le Tabernacle, jusques au matin. | And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony: and at even it was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning. |
| 16 | Il en fut ainsi continuellement; la nuée le couvrait, mais elle paraissait la nuit comme du feu. | So it was alway: the cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night. |
| 17 | Et selon que la nuée se levait de dessus le Tabernacle les enfants d'Israël partaient; et au lieu où la nuée s'arrêtait, les enfants d'Israël y campaient. | And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel encamped. |
| 18 | Les enfants d'Israël marchaient au commandement de l'Eternel, et ils campaient au commandement de l'Eternel; pendant tous les jours que la nuée se tenait sur le pavillon ils demeuraient campés. | At the commandment of Jehovah the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of Jehovah they encamped: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they remained encamped. |
| 19 | Et quand la nuée continuait à s'arrêter plusieurs jours sur le pavillon, les enfants d'Israël prenaient garde à l'Eternel, et ne partaient point. | And when the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of Jehovah, and journeyed not. |
| 20 | Et pour peu de jours que la nuée fût sur le pavillon, ils campaient au commandement de l'Eternel, et ils partaient au commandement de l'Eternel. | And sometimes the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of Jehovah they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of Jehovah they journeyed. |
| 21 | Et quand la nuée y était depuis le soir jusqu'au matin, et que la nuée se levait au matin, ils partaient; fût-ce de jour ou de nuit, quand la nuée se levait, ils partaient. | And sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they journeyed: or [if it continued] by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they journeyed. |
| 22 | Que si la nuée continuait de s'arrêter sur le pavillon, et y demeurait pendant deux jours, ou un mois, ou plus longtemps, les enfants d'Israël demeuraient campés, et ne partaient point; mais quand elle se levait, ils partaient. | Whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, abiding thereon, the children of Israel remained encamped, and journeyed not; but when it was taken up, they journeyed. |
| 23 | Ils campaient donc au commandement de l'Eternel, et ils partaient au commandement de l'Eternel; et ils prenaient garde à l'Eternel, suivant le commandement de l'Eternel, qu'il leur faisait savoir par Moïse. | At the commandment of Jehovah they encamped, and at the commandment of Jehovah they journeyed: they kept the charge of Jehovah, at the commandment of Jehovah by Moses. |
