| 1 | These are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron. | Ce sont ici les traittes des enfants d'Israël, qui sortirent du pays d'Egypte, selon leurs bandes, sous la conduite de Moïse et d'Aaron. |
| 2 | And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD: and these are their journeys according to their goings out. | Car Moïse écrivit leurs délogements, par leurs traittes, suivant le commandement de l'Eternel; ce sont donc ici leurs traittes selon leurs délogements. |
| 3 | And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians. | Les enfants d'Israël donc partirent de Rahmésès le quinzième jour du premier mois, dès le lendemain de la Pâque, et ils sortirent à main levée, à la vue de tous les Egyptiens. |
| 4 | For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments. | Et les Egyptiens ensevelissaient ceux que l'Eternel avait frappés parmi eux, savoir tous les premiers-nés; même l'Eternel avait exercé ses jugements sur leurs dieux. |

| 6 | And they departed from Succoth, and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness. | Et étant partis de Succoth, ils campèrent à Etham, qui est au bout du désert. |
| 7 | And they removed from Etham, and turned again unto Pihahiroth, which is before Baalzephon: and they pitched before Migdol. | Et étant partis d'Etham, ils se détournèrent contre Pi-hahiroth, qui est vis-à-vis de Bahal-tséphon, et campèrent devant Migdol. |
| 8 | And they departed from before Pihahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and pitched in Marah. | Et étant partis de devant Pi-hahiroth, ils passèrent au travers de la mer vers le désert, et firent trois journées de chemin par le désert d'Etham, et campèrent à Mara. |

| 38 | And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month. | Et Aaron le Sacrificateur monta sur la montagne de Hor, suivant le commandement de l'Eternel, et mourut là, en la quarantième année après que les enfants d'Israël furent sortis du pays d'Egypte, le premier jour du cinquième mois. |
| 39 | And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor. | Et Aaron était âgé de cent vingt-trois ans, quand il mourut sur la montagne de Hor. |
| 40 | And king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel. | Alors le Cananéen, Roi de Harad, qui habitait vers le Midi au pays de Canaan, apprit que les enfants d'Israël venaient. |
| 41 | And they departed from mount Hor, and pitched in Zalmonah. | Et étant partis de la montagne de Hor, ils campèrent à Tsalmona. |
| 42 | And they departed from Zalmonah, and pitched in Punon. | Et étant partis de Tsalmona, ils campèrent à Punon. |
| 43 | And they departed from Punon, and pitched in Oboth. | Et étant partis de Punon, ils campèrent à Oboth. |
| 44 | And they departed from Oboth, and pitched in Ijeabarim, in the border of Moab. | Et étant partis d'Oboth, ils campèrent à Hijé-habarim, sur les frontières de Moab. |
| 45 | And they departed from Iim, and pitched in Dibongad. | Et étant partis de Hijim, ils campèrent à Dibon-gad. |
| 46 | And they removed from Dibongad, and encamped in Almondiblathaim. | Et étant partis de Dibon-gad, ils campèrent à Halmon vers Diblatajim. |
| 47 | And they removed from Almondiblathaim, and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo. | Et étant partis de Halmon vers Diblatajim, ils campèrent aux montagnes de Habarim contre Nébo. |
| 48 | And they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho. | Et étant partis des montagnes de Habarim, ils campèrent aux campagnes de Moab, près du Jourdain de Jéricho. |
| 49 | And they pitched by Jordan, from Bethjesimoth even unto Abelshittim in the plains of Moab. | Et ils campèrent près du Jourdain, depuis Beth-jésimoth jusqu'à Abel-Sittim, dans les campagnes de Moab. |
| 50 | And the LORD spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying, | Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse dans les campagnes de Moab, près du Jourdain de Jéricho, en disant: |
| 51 | Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan; | Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et leur dis: Puisque vous allez passer le Jourdain pour entrer au pays de Canaan; |
| 52 | Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places: | Chassez de devant vous tous les habitants du pays, et détruisez toutes leurs peintures, ruinez toutes leurs images de fonte, et démolissez tous leurs hauts lieux. |
| 53 | And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it. | Et rendez-vous maîtres du pays, et y habitez; car je vous ai donné le pays pour le posséder. |
| 54 | And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit. | Or vous hériterez le pays par sort selon vos familles. A ceux qui sont en plus grand nombre, vous donnerez plus d'héritage; et à ceux qui sont en plus petit nombre, vous donnerez moins d'héritage; chacun aura selon qu'il lui sera échu par sort, et vous hériterez selon les Tribus de vos pères. |
| 55 | But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell. | Mais si vous ne chassez pas de devant vous les habitants du pays, il arrivera que ceux d'entr'eux que vous aurez laissés de reste, seront comme des épines à vos yeux, et comme des pointes à vos côtés, et ils vous serreront de près dans le pays auquel vous habiterez. |
| 56 | Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them. | Et il arrivera que je vous ferai tout comme j'ai eu dessein de leur faire. |
