| 52 | vous expulserez devant vous tous les habitants du pays, vous détruirez toutes leurs pierres sculptées, et vous détruirez toutes leurs images d'airain fondu, et vous dévasterez tous leurs hauts lieux. | then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured [stones], and destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places: |
| 53 | Vous prendrez possession du pays et vous l'habiterez; car je vous ai donné le pays pour le posséder. | and ye shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for unto you have I given the land to possess it. |
| 54 | Vous partagerez le pays par le sort, selon vos familles; vous donnerez un héritage plus grand à ceux qui sont en plus grand nombre, et tu donneras un héritage plus petit à ceux qui sont en plus petit nombre. Ce que le sort assignera à chacun lui appartiendra; vous le recevrez en propriété, selon vos tribus patriarcales. | And ye shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer thou shalt give the less inheritance: wheresoever the lot falleth to any man, that shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye inherit. |
| 55 | Mais si vous n'expulsez pas devant vous les habitants du pays, ceux d'entre eux que vous laisserez seront comme des épines dans vos yeux et comme des aiguillons dans vos flancs, et ils vous traiteront en ennemis dans le pays que vous allez habiter. | But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those that ye let remain of them be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell. |
| 56 | Et je vous traiterai vous-même comme j'avais résolu de les traiter.» | And it shall come to pass, that, as I thought to do unto them, so will I do unto you. |
