3	Moïse parla au peuple, et dit : Équipez d'entre vous des hommes pour l'armée, et qu'ils marchent contre Madian, afin d'exécuter la vengeance de l'Éternel sur Madian.	And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.	Moïse donc parla au peuple, en disant: Que quelques-uns d'entre vous s'équipent pour aller à la guerre, et qu'ils aillent contre Madian, pour exécuter la vengeance de l'Eternel sur Madian.	And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm ye men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian, to execute Jehovah`s vengeance on Midian.
4	Vous enverrez à l'armée mille hommes par tribu, de toutes les tribus d'Israël.	Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war. 5	On leva d'entre les milliers d'Israël mille hommes par tribu, soit douze mille hommes équipés pour l'armée. 6	Moïse envoya à l'armée ces mille hommes par tribu, et avec eux le fils du sacrificateur Éléazar, Phinées, qui portait les instruments sacrés et les trompettes retentissantes.	And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.	Et Moïse les envoya à la guerre, savoir mille de chaque Tribu, et avec eux Phinées, fils d'Eiéazar le Sacrificateur, qui avait les vaisseaux du Sanctuaire, et les trompettes de retentissement en sa main.	And Moses sent them, a thousand of every tribe, to the war, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand.
7	Ils s'avancèrent contre Madian, selon l'ordre que l'Éternel avait donné à Moïse ; et ils tuèrent tous les mâles.	And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.	Ils marchèrent donc en guerre contre Madian, comme l'Eternel l'avait commandé à Moïse, et ils en tuèrent tous les mâles.	And they warred against Midian, as Jehovah commanded Moses; and they slew every male.
8	Ils tuèrent les rois de Madian avec tous les autres, Évi, Rékem, Tsur, Hur et Réba, cinq rois de Madian ; ils tuèrent aussi par l'épée Balaam, fils de Beor.	And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.	Ils tuèrent aussi les Rois de Madian, outre les autres qui y furent tués, savoir Evi, Rékem, Tsur, Hur, et Rébah, cinq Rois de Madian; ils firent aussi passer au fil de l'épée Balaam fils de Béhor.	And they slew the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
9	Les enfants d'Israël firent prisonnières les femmes des Madianites avec leurs petits enfants, et ils pillèrent tout leur bétail, tous leurs troupeaux et toutes leurs richesses.	And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.	Et les enfants d'Israël emmenèrent prisonniers les femmes de Madian, avec leurs petits enfants, et pillèrent tout leur gros et menu bétail, et tout ce qui était en leur puissance.	And the children of Israel took captive the women of Midian and their little ones; and all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods, they took for a prey.
10	Ils incendièrent toutes les villes qu'ils habitaient et tous leurs enclos.	And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.	);	And all their cities in the places wherein they dwelt, and all their encampments, they burnt with fire.
11	Ils prirent toutes les dépouilles et tout le butin, personnes et bestiaux ;	And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.	Et ils prirent tout le butin et tout le pillage, tant des hommes que du bétail.	And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of man and of beast.
12	et ils amenèrent les captifs, le butin et les dépouilles, à Moïse, au sacrificateur Éléazar, et à l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël, campés dans les plaines de Moab, près du Jourdain, vis-à-vis de Jéricho.	And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.	Puis ils amenèrent les prisonniers, le pillage, et le butin, à Moïse et à Eléazar le Sacrificateur, et à l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël, au camp dans les campagnes de Moab, qui sont près du Jourdain de Jéricho.	And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and unto Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan at Jericho.
13	Moïse, le sacrificateur Éléazar, et tous les princes de l'assemblée, sortirent au-devant d'eux, hors du camp.	And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp. 14	Et Moïse s'irrita contre les commandants de l'armée, les chefs de milliers et les chefs de centaines, qui revenaient de l'expédition.	And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.	Et Moïse se mit en grande colère contre les Capitaines de l'armée, les chefs des milliers, et les chefs des centaines, qui retournaient de cet exploit de guerre. 15	Il leur dit : Avez-vous laissé la vie à toutes les femmes ?	And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?	Et Moïse leur dit: N'avez-vous pas gardé en vie toutes les femmes?	And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
16	Voici, ce sont elles qui, sur la parole de Balaam, ont entraîné les enfants d'Israël à l'infidélité envers l'Éternel, dans l'affaire de Peor ; et alors éclata la plaie dans l'assemblée de l'Éternel.	Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.	Voici ce sont elles qui à la parole de Balaam, ont donné occasion aux enfants d'Israël de pécher contre l'Eternel au fait de Péhor ce qui attira la plaie sur l'assemblée de l'Eternel.	Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against Jehovah in the matter of Peor, and so the plague was among the congregation of Jehovah.
17	Maintenant, tuez tout mâle parmi les petits enfants, et tuez toute femme qui a connu un homme en couchant avec lui ;	Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.	Or maintenant tuez tous les mâles d'entre les petits enfants, et tuez toute femme qui aura eu compagnie d'homme. 18	mais laissez en vie pour vous toutes les filles qui n'ont point connu la couche d'un homme.	But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. 19	Et vous, campez pendant sept jours hors du camp ; tous ceux d'entre vous qui ont tué quelqu'un, et tous ceux qui ont touché un mort, se purifieront le troisième et le septième jour, eux et vos prisonniers.	And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.	Au reste, demeurez sept jours hors du camp. Quiconque tuera quelqu'un, et quiconque touchera quelqu'un qui aura été tué, se purifiera le troisième et le septième jour, tant vous que vos prisonniers.	And encamp ye without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify yourselves on the third day and on the seventh day, ye and your captives.
20	Vous purifierez aussi tout vêtement, tout objet de peau, tout ouvrage de poil de chèvre et tout ustensile de bois.	And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.	Vous purifierez aussi tous vos vêtements, et tout ce qui sera fait de peau, et tous ouvrages de poil de chèvre, et toute vaisselle de bois.	And as to every garment, and all that is made of skin, and all work of goats` [hair], and all things made of wood, ye shall purify yourselves.
21	Le sacrificateur Éléazar dit aux soldats qui étaient allés à la guerre : Voici ce qui est ordonné par la loi que l'Éternel a prescrite à Moïse.	And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;	Et Eléazar le Sacrificateur dit aux hommes de guerre qui étaient allés à la bataille: Voici l'ordonnance et la Loi que l'Eternel a commandée à Moïse.	And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war that went to the battle, This is the statute of the law which Jehovah hath commanded Moses:
22	L'or, l'argent, l'airain, le fer, l'étain et le plomb,	Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,	En général l'or, l'argent, l'airain, le fer, l'étain, le plomb;	howbeit the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
23	tout objet qui peut aller au feu, vous le ferez passer par le feu pour le rendre pur. Mais c'est par l'eau de purification que sera purifié tout ce qui ne peut aller au feu ; vous le ferez passer dans l'eau.	Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.	Tout ce qui peut passer par le feu, vous le ferez passer par le feu, et il sera net; seulement on le purifiera avec l'eau d'aspersion; mais vous ferez passer par l'eau toutes les choses qui ne passent point par le feu.	everything that may abide the fire, ye shall make to go through the fire, and it shall be clean; nevertheless it shall be purified with the water for impurity: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make to go through the water.
24	Vous laverez vos vêtements le septième jour, et vous serez purs ; ensuite, vous pourrez entrer dans le camp.	And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.	Vous laverez aussi vos vêtements le septième-jour, et vous serez nets, puis vous entrerez au camp.	And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean; and afterward ye shall come into the camp.
25	L'Éternel dit à Moïse :	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,	Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse, en disant:	And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
26	Fais, avec le sacrificateur Éléazar et les chefs de maison de l'assemblée, le compte du butin, de ce qui a été pris, personnes et bestiaux.	Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:	Fais le compte du butin, et de tout ce qu'on a emmené, tant des personnes que des bêtes, toi et Eléazar le Sacrificateur, et les chefs des pères de l'assemblée.	Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the heads of the fathers` [houses] of the congregation;
27	Partage le butin entre les combattants qui sont allés à l'armée et toute l'assemblée.	And divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:	Et partage par moitié le butin entre les combattants qui sont allés à la guerre, et toute l'assemblée.	and divide the prey into two parts: between the men skilled in war, that went out to battle, and all the congregation.
28	Tu prélèveras sur la portion des soldats qui sont allés à l'armée un tribut pour l'Éternel, savoir : un sur cinq cents, tant des personnes que des boeufs, des ânes et des brebis.	And levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:	Tu lèveras aussi pour l'Eternel un tribut des gens de guerre qui sont allés à la bataille, savoir de cinq cents un, tant des personnes que des boeufs, des ânes et des brebis.	And levy a tribute unto Jehovah of the men of war that went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, [both] of the persons, and of the oxen, and of the asses, and of the flocks:
29	Vous le prendrez sur leur moitié, et tu le donneras au sacrificateur Éléazar comme une offrande à l'Éternel.	Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.	On le prendra de leur moitié, et tu le donneras à Eléazar le Sacrificateur, en offrande élevée à l'Eternel.	take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for Jehovah`s heave-offering.
30	Et sur la moitié qui revient aux enfants d'Israël tu prendras un sur cinquante, tant des personnes que des boeufs, des ânes et des brebis, de tout animal ; et tu le donneras aux Lévites, qui ont la garde du tabernacle de l'Éternel.	And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.	Et de l'autre moitié qui appartient aux enfants d'Israël, tu en prendras à part de cinquante un, tant des personnes que des boeufs, des ânes, des brebis et de tous autres animaux, et tu le donneras aux Lévites qui ont la charge de garder le pavillon de l'Eternel.	And of the children of Israel`s half, thou shalt take one drawn out of every fifty, of the persons, of the oxen, of the asses, and of the flocks, [even] of all the cattle, and give them unto the Levites, that keep the charge of the tabernacle of Jehovah.
31	Moïse et le sacrificateur Éléazar firent ce que l'Éternel avait ordonné à Moïse.	And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.	Et Moïse et Eléazar le Sacrificateur firent comme l'Eternel l'avait commandé à Moïse.	And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as Jehovah commanded Moses.
32	Le butin, reste du pillage de ceux qui avaient fait partie de l'armée, était de six cent soixante-quinze mille brebis,	And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,	Or le butin, qui était resté du pillage que le peuple qui était allé à la guerre, avait fait, était de six cent soixante et quinze mille brebis;	Now the prey, over and above the booty which the men of war took, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,
33	soixante-douze mille boeufs,	And threescore and twelve thousand beeves,	De soixante et douze mille boeufs;	and threescore and twelve thousand oxen,
34	soixante et un mille ânes,	And threescore and one thousand asses,	De soixante et un mille ânes.	and threescore and one thousand asses,
35	et trente-deux mille personnes ou femmes qui n'avaient point connu la couche d'un homme. -	And thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him. 36	La moitié, formant la part de ceux qui étaient allés à l'armée, fut de trois cent trente-sept mille cinq cents brebis,	And the half, which was the portion of them that went out to war, was in number three hundred thousand and seven and thirty thousand and five hundred sheep:	Et la moitié du butin, savoir la part de ceux qui étaient allés à la guerre, montait à trois cent trente-sept mille cinq cents brebis. 37	dont six cent soixante-quinze pour le tribut à l'Éternel ;	And the LORD's tribute of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.	Dont le tribut pour l'Eternel, quant aux brebis, fut de six cent soixante et quinze.	and Jehovah`s tribute of the sheep was six hundred and threescore and fifteen.
38	trente-six mille boeufs, dont soixante-douze pour le tribut à l'Éternel ;	And the beeves were thirty and six thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and twelve.	Et à trente-six mille boeufs; dont le tribut pour l'Eternel, quant aux boeufs, fut de soixante et douze boeufs.	And the oxen were thirty and six thousand; of which Jehovah`s tribute was threescore and twelve.
39	trente mille cinq cents ânes, dont soixante et un pour le tribut à l'Éternel ;	And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; of which the LORD's tribute was threescore and one.	Et à trente mille cinq cents ânes; dont le tribut pour l'Eternel, quant aux ânes, fut de soixante et un ânes.	And the asses were thirty thousand and five hundred; of which Jehovah`s tribute was threescore and one.
