| 1 | Then came the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there. | Or les enfants d'Israël, savoir toute l'assemblée, arrivèrent au désert de Tsin au premier mois; et le peuple demeura à Kadès, et Marie mourut là, et y fut ensevelie. | Poi tutta l'assemblea dei figli d'Israele arrivò al deserto di Sin nel primo mese, e il popolo si fermò a Kadesh. | 2 | And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron. | Et n'y ayant point d'eau pour l'assemblée, ils s'attroupèrent contre Moïse, et contre Aaron. | Or mancava l'acqua per l'assemblea, per cui si radunarono contro Mosè e contro Aaronne. |
| 3 | And the people chode with Moses, and spake, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the LORD! | Et le peuple disputa contre Moïse, et ils lui dirent: Plût à Dieu que nous fussions morts quand nos frères moururent devant l'Eternel? | Così il popolo contese con Mosè e gli parlò, dicendo: Fossimo morti quando morirono i nostri fratelli davanti all'Eterno! |
| 4 | And why have ye brought up the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there? | Et pourquoi avez-vous fait venir l'assemblée de l'Eternel dans ce désert, pour y mourir, nous et nos bêtes? | Perché avete condotto l'assemblea dell'Eterno in questo deserto a morirvi, noi e il nostro bestiame? |
| 5 | And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink. | Et pourquoi nous avez-vous fait monter d'Egypte, pour nous amener en ce méchant lieu, qui n'est point un lieu pour semer, ni un lieu pour des figuiers, ni pour des vignes, ni pour des grenadiers; et où même il n'y a point d'eau pour boire? | E perché ci avete fatti salire dall'Egitto per condurci in questo brutto luogo? Non è un luogo di grano o di fichi o di vigne o di melograni, e non c'è acqua da bere. |
| 6 | And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them. | Alors Moïse et Aaron se retirèrent de devant l'assemblée à l'entrée du Tabernacle d'assignation, et tombèrent sur leurs faces, et la gloire de l'Eternel apparut. | Allora Mosè ed Aaronne si allontanarono dall'assemblea per recarsi all'ingresso della tenda di convegno e si prostrarono con la faccia a terra; e la gloria dell'Eterno apparve loro. |
| 7 | And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, | Puis l'Eternel parla à Moïse, en disant: | Poi l'Eterno parlò a Mosè, dicendo: |
| 8 | Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. | Prends la verge, et convoque l'assemblée, toi et Aaron ton frère, et parlez en leur présence au rocher, et il donnera son eau; ainsi tu leur feras sortir de l'eau du rocher, et tu donneras à boire à l'assemblée et à leurs bêtes. | prendi il bastone; tu e tuo fratello Aaronne convocate l'assemblea e davanti ai loro occhi parlate alla roccia, ed essa darà la sua acqua; così farai sgorgare per loro acqua dalla roccia e darai da bere all'assemblea e al suo bestiame. |
| 9 | And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him. | Moïse donc prit la verge de devant l'Eternel, comme il lui avait commandé. | Mosè dunque prese il bastone che era davanti all'Eterno, come l'Eterno gli aveva ordinato. |
| 10 | And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? | Et Moïse et Aaron convoquèrent l'assemblée devant le rocher, et il leur dit: Vous rebelles, écoutez maintenant, vous ferons-nous sortir de l'eau de ce rocher? | Così Mosè ed Aaronne convocarono l'assemblea davanti alla roccia e Mosè disse loro: Ora ascoltate, o ribelli; dobbiamo far uscire acqua per voi da questa roccia?. |
| 11 | And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. | Puis Moïse leva sa main, et frappa de sa verge le rocher par deux fois; et il en sortit des eaux en abondance, et l'assemblée but, et leurs bêtes aussi. | Poi Mosè alzò la mano, percosse la roccia col suo bastone due volte, e ne uscì acqua in abbondanza; e l'assemblea e il suo bestiame bevvero. |
| 12 | And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. | Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse et à Aaron: Parce que vous n'avez point cru en moi,pour me sanctifier en la présence des enfants d'Israël, aussi vous n'introduirez point cette assemblée au pays que je leur ai donné. | Allora l'Eterno disse a Mosè e ad Aaronne: Poiché non avete creduto in me per dare gloria a me agli occhi dei figli d'Israele, voi non introdurrete questa assemblea nel paese che io ho dato loro. |
| 13 | This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them. | Ce sont là les eaux de dispute, pour lesquelles les enfants d'Israël disputèrent contre l'Eternel; et il se sanctifia en eux. | Queste sono le acque di Meriba dove i figli d'Israele contesero con l'Eterno, ed egli si mostrò Santo in mezzo a loro. |
| 14 | And Moses sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus saith thy brother Israel, Thou knowest all the travail that hath befallen us: | Puis Moïse envoya des ambassadeurs de Kadès au roi d'Edom, pour lui dire: Ainsi a dit ton frère Israël: Tu sais tout le travail que nous avons eu; | Poi Mosè mandò da Kadesh degli ambasciatori al re di Edom a dirgli: Così dice Israele tuo fratello: Tu conosci tutte le avversità che abbiamo incontrato, |
| 15 | How our fathers went down into Egypt, and we have dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians vexed us, and our fathers: | Comment nos pères descendirent en Egypte, où nous avons demeuré longtemps; et comment les Egyptiens nous ont maltraités, nous et nos pères. | come i nostri padri scesero in Egitto e noi dimorammo in Egitto per lungo tempo, e gli Egiziani maltrattarono noi e i nostri padri. |
| 16 | And when we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and hath brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of thy border: | Et nous avons crié à l'Eternel, qui ayant entendu nos cris, a envoyé l'Ange, et nous a retirés d'Egypte. Or voici, nous sommes à Kadès, ville qui est au bout de tes frontières. | Ma, quando gridammo all'Eterno, egli udì la nostra voce e mandò un Angelo, e ci fece uscire dall'Egitto; ed eccoci ora in Kadesh, una città ai margini dei tuoi confini. |
| 17 | Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king's high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders. | Je te prie que nous passions par ton pays; nous ne passerons point par les champs, ni par les vignes, et nous ne boirons point de l'eau d'aucun puits; nous marcherons par le chemin royal; nous ne nous détournerons ni à droite ni à gauche, jusqu'à ce que nous ayons passé tes limites. | Deh, lasciaci passare per il tuo paese, noi non passeremo né per campi né per vigne e non berremo l'acqua dei pozzi; seguiremo la via Regia, senza deviare né a destra né a sinistra, finché avremo oltrepassati i tuoi confini. |
| 18 | And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword. | Et Edom lui dit: Tu ne passeras point par mon pays, de peur que je ne sorte en armes à ta rencontre. | Ma Edom rispose: Tu non passerai sul mio territorio, altrimenti ti verrò contro con la spada. |
| 19 | And the children of Israel said unto him, We will go by the high way: and if I and my cattle drink of thy water, then I will pay for it: I will only, without doing anything else, go through on my feet. | Les enfants d'Israël lui répondirent: Nous monterons par le grand chemin, et si nous buvons de tes eaux, moi et mes bêtes, je t'en payerai le prix; seulement que j'y prenne mon passage. | I figli d'Israele gli dissero: Noi saliremo per la strada maestra; e se noi e il nostro bestiame berremo della tua acqua, te la pagheremo; lasciami soltanto transitare a piedi e niente più. |
| 20 | And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand. | Mais Edom lui dit: Tu n'y passeras point; et sur cela Edom sortit à sa rencontre avec une grande multitude, et à main armée. | Ma egli rispose: Non passerai!. E Edom uscì contro Israele con molta gente e con mano forte. |
| 21 | Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border: wherefore Israel turned away from him. | Ainsi Edom ne voulut point permettre à Israël de passer par ses frontières; c'est pourquoi Israël se détourna de lui. | Così Edom rifiutò di lasciar passare Israele attraverso il suo territorio, per cui Israele si allontanò da lui. |
| 22 | And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto mount Hor. | Et les enfants d'Israël, savoir toute l'assemblée, étant partis de Kadès vinrent en la montagne de Hor. | Allora i figli d'Israele, tutta l'assemblea, partirono da Kadesh e arrivarono al monte Hor. |
| 23 | And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying, | Et l'Eternel parla à Moïse et à Aaron en la montagne de Hor, près des frontières du pays d'Edom, en disant: | E l'Eterno parlò a Mosè e ad Aaronne al monte Hor, sui confini del paese di Edom, dicendo: |
| 24 | Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah. | Aaron sera recueilli vers ses peuples, car il n'entrera point au pays que j'ai donné aux enfants d'Israël, parce que vous avez été rebelles à mon commandement aux eaux de la dispute. | Aaronne sta per essere riunito al suo popolo, e non entrerà nel paese che ho dato ai figli d'Israele, perché vi siete ribellati al mio comando alle acque di Meriba. |
| 25 | Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor: | Prends donc Aaron et Eléazar son fils, et fais les monter sur la montagne de Hor. | Prendi Aaronne ed Eleazar suo figlio e falli salire sul monte Hor. |
| 26 | And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there. | Puis fais dépouiller Aaron de ses vêtements, et fais en revêtir Eléazar son fils; et Aaron sera recueilli, et mourra là. | Spoglia Aaronne delle sue vesti e falle indossare a Eleazar suo figlio; e là Aaronne sarà riunito al suo popolo e morrà. |
| 27 | And Moses did as the LORD commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation. | Moïse donc fit ainsi que l'Eternel l'avait commandé; et ils montèrent sur la montagne de Hor, toute l'assemblée le voyant. | Così Mosè fece come l'Eterno aveva ordinato; ed essi salirono sul monte Hor davanti agli occhi di tutta l'assemblea. |
| 28 | And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there in the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount. | Et Moïse fit dépouiller Aaron de ses vêtements et en fit revêtir Eléazar son fils; puis Aaron mourut là au sommet de la montagne, et Moïse et Eléazar descendirent de la montagne. | Mosè spogliò Aaronne delle sue vesti e le fece indossare a Eleazar, suo figlio; e Aaronne morì là, sulla cima del monte. Poi Mosè ed Eleazar scesero dal monte. |
| 29 | And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel. | Et toute l'assemblée, savoir toute la maison d'Israël, voyant qu'Aaron était mort, ils le pleurèrent trente jours. | Quando tutta l'assemblea vide che Aaronne era morto, tutta la casa d'Israele pianse Aaronne per trenta giorni. |
