| 11 | And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them? | Et l'Éternel dit à Moïse: Jusqu'à quand ce peuple me méprisera-t-il, et jusqu'à quand ne croiront-ils point en moi, malgré tous les signes que j'ai faits au milieu d'eux? | Poi l'Eterno disse a Mosè: Fino a quando mi disprezzerà questo popolo? E Fino a quando rifiuteranno di credere dopo tutti i miracoli che ho operato in mezzo a loro? |

| 14 | And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night. | Et ils le diront aux habitants de ce pays. Ils ont entendu dire que tu es, ô Éternel, au milieu de ce peuple, et que tu apparais, ô Éternel, visiblement, que ta nuée se tient au-dessus d'eux, et que tu marches devant eux, le jour dans une colonne de nuée et la nuit dans une colonne de feu. | e lo faranno sapere agli abitanti di questo paese. | 15 | Now if thou shalt kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying, | Et si tu fais mourir ce peuple, comme un seul homme, les nations qui ont entendu ta renommée, diront: | Ora se fai perire questo popolo come un sol uomo, le nazioni che hanno udito la tua fama parleranno, dicendo: |
| 16 | Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness. | Parce que l'Éternel ne pouvait faire entrer ce peuple au pays qu'il avait juré de leur donner, il les a immolés dans le désert. | "Poiché l'Eterno non è stato capace di fare entrare questo popolo nel paese che aveva giurato di dargli, li ha uccisi nel deserto". |

| 23 | Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it: | Ne verront point le pays que j'ai promis par serment à leurs pères. | 38 | But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still. | Mais Josué, fils de Nun, et Caleb, fils de Jephunné, survécurent, d'entre ces hommes qui étaient allés pour explorer le pays. | Ma Giosuè, figlio di Nun, e Caleb figlio di Jefunneh, rimasero vivi fra quegli uomini che erano andati ad esplorare il paese. |
| 39 | And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly. | Or Moïse dit ces paroles à tous les enfants d'Israël; et il y eut un grand deuil parmi le peuple. | Allora Mosè riferì queste parole a tutti i figli d'Israele, e il popolo fece gran cordoglio. |
| 40 | And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the LORD hath promised: for we have sinned. | Puis ils se levèrent de bon matin, et montèrent vers le sommet de la montagne, en disant: Nous voici, et nous monterons au lieu dont l'Éternel a parlé; car nous avons péché. | Si alzarono così al mattino presto e salirono sulla cima del monte dicendo: Eccoci qua; noi saliremo al luogo di cui ha parlato l'Eterno, poiché abbiamo peccato. |
| 41 | And Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper. | Mais Moïse dit: Pourquoi transgressez-vous le commandement de l'Éternel? Cela ne réussira point. | Ma Mosè disse: Perché trasgredite l'ordine dell'Eterno? La cosa non riuscirà. |
| 42 | Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies. | N'y montez pas, de peur que vous ne soyez battus devant vos ennemis, car l'Éternel n'est point au milieu de vous. | Non salite, perché sareste sconfitti dai vostri nemici, Poiché l'Eterno non è in mezzo a voi. |
| 43 | For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you. | Car les Amalécites et les Cananéens sont là devant vous, et vous tomberez par l'épée, parce que vous vous êtes détournés de l'Éternel; et l'Éternel ne sera point avec vous. | Davanti a voi infatti stanno gli Amalekiti e i Cananei, e voi cadrete per la spada; Poiché vi siete allontanati dal seguire l'Eterno, l'Eterno non sarà con voi. |
| 44 | But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp. | Toutefois, ils s'obstinèrent à monter vers le sommet de la montagne; mais l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel et Moïse ne sortirent pas du milieu du camp. | Ciò nonostante essi ebbero l'ardire di salire sulla cima del monte; ma l'arca del patto dell'Eterno e Mosè non si mossero dal mezzo dell'accampamento. |
