| 2 | (13:3) Envoie des hommes, et ils reconnaîtront le pays de Canaan que je donne aux fils d'Israël; vous enverrez un homme pour chaque tribu de ses pères, tous des princes parmi eux. | Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them. | Manda degli uomini ad esplorare il paese di Canaan che io do ai figli d'Israele. Ne manderete uno per ogni tribù dei loro padri; siano tutti dei loro principi. |
| 3 | (13:4) Et Moïse les envoya du désert de Paran, selon le commandement de l'Éternel. Tous ces hommes étaient des chefs des fils d'Israël. | And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel. | Così Mosè li mandò dal deserto di Paran. secondo l'ordine dell'Eterno; tutti questi erano capi dei figli d'Israele. |

Et Moïse appela Osée, fils de Nun, Josué. | These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua. | Questi sono i nomi degli uomini che Mosè mandò a esplorare il paese. Or Mosè diede a Hoscea, figlio di Nun, il nome di Giosuè. |
| 17 | (13:18) Et Moïse les envoya pour reconnaître le pays de Canaan, et leur dit: Montez de ce côté, par le midi; et vous monterez dans la montagne; | And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain: | Mosè dunque li mandò a esplorare il paese di Canaan e disse loro: Salite di qui nel Neghev, poi salite nella regione montuosa, |
| 18 | (13:19) et vous verrez le pays, ce qu'il est, et le peuple qui l'habite; s'il est fort ou faible, s'il est en petit nombre ou en grand nombre; | And see the land, what it is, and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many; | per vedere come è il paese, se il popolo che l'abita è forte o debole, esiguo o numeroso; |
| 19 | (13:20) et quel est le pays où il habite, s'il est bon ou mauvais; et quelles sont les villes dans lesquelles il habite, si c'est dans des camps ou dans des villes murées; | And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds; | come è il paese che abita, se buono o cattivo e come sono le città in cui abita, se siano accampamenti o luoghi fortificati; |
| 20 | (13:21) et quel est le pays, s'il est gras ou maigre, s'il y a des arbres ou s'il n'y en a pas. Ayez bon courage, et prenez du fruit du pays. Or c'était le temps des premiers raisins. | And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes. | e come è la terra, se grassa o magra, se vi siano alberi o no. Siate coraggiosi e portate dei frutti del paese. Era il tempo in cui cominciava a maturare l'uva. |
| 21 | (13:22) Et ils montèrent et reconnurent le pays, depuis le désert de Tsin jusqu'à Rehob, quand on vient à Hamath. | So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath. | Quelli dunque salirono e esplorarono il paese di Tsin fino a Rehob, entrando dalla parte di Hamath. |
| 22 | (13:23) Et ils montèrent par le midi, et vinrent jusqu'à Hébron; et là étaient Akhiman, Shéshaï et Thalmaï, enfants d'Anak. Et Hébron avait été bâtie sept ans avant Tsoan d'Égypte. | And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.) | Salirono attraverso il Neghev e andarono fino a Hebron, dov'erano Ahiman, Sceshai e Talmai, discendenti di Anak. (Or Hebron era stata edificata sette anni prima di Tsoan in Egitto). |
| 23 | (13:24) Et ils vinrent jusqu'au torrent d'Eshcol, et coupèrent de là un sarment avec une grappe de raisin; et ils le portèrent à deux au moyen d'une perche, et des grenades et des figues. | And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs. | Giunsero quindi fino alla valle di Eshkol, dove tagliarono un tralcio con un grappolo d'uva, che portarono in due con una stanga; e presero anche delle melagrane e dei fichi. |
| 24 | (13:25) On appela ce lieu-là torrent d'Eshcol, à cause de la grappe que les fils d'Israël y coupèrent. | The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence. | Quel luogo fu chiamato valle di Eshkol, a motivo del grappolo d'uva che i figli d'Israele vi tagliarono. |
| 25 | (13:26) Et ils revinrent de la reconnaissance du pays au bout de quarante jours. | And they returned from searching of the land after forty days. | Tornarono dall'esplorazione del paese al termine di quaranta giorni, |
| 26 | (13:27) Et ils allèrent, et arrivèrent auprès de Moïse et d'Aaron, et de toute l'assemblée des fils d'Israël, au désert de Paran, à Kadès; et ils leur rendirent compte, ainsi qu'à toute l'assemblée, et leur montrèrent le fruit du pays. | And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land. | e andarono a trovare Mosè ed Aaronne e tutta l'assemblea dei figli d'Israele nel deserto di Paran, a Kadesh; davanti a loro e a tutta l'assemblea fecero un resoconto e mostrarono loro i frutti del paese. |
| 27 | (13:28) Et ils racontèrent à Moïse, et dirent: Nous sommes allés dans le pays où tu nous as envoyés; et vraiment il est ruisselant de lait et de miel, et en voici le fruit. | And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. | Così fecero davanti a lui il resoconto, dicendo: Noi siamo arrivati nel paese dove ci hai mandato; vi scorre veramente latte e miele, e questi sono i suoi frutti. |
| 28 | (13:29) Seulement, le peuple qui habite dans le pays est fort, et les villes sont fortifiées, très-grandes; et nous y avons vu aussi les enfants d'Anak. | Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. | Ma il popolo che abita il paese è forte, le città sono fortificate e grandissime; e là abbiamo pure visto i discendenti di Anak. |
| 29 | (13:30) Amalek habite le pays du midi; et le Héthien, le Jébusien et l'Amoréen habitent la montagne; et le Cananéen habite le long de la mer et sur le rivage du Jourdain. | The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan. | Gli Amalekiti abitano la regione del Neghev; gli Hittei, i Gebusei e gli Amorei abitano invece la regione montuosa, mentre i Cananei abitano vicino al mare e lungo il Giordano. |
| 30 | (13:31) Et Caleb fit taire le peuple devant Moïse, et dit: Montons hardiment et prenons possession du pays, car nous sommes bien capables de le faire. | And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. | Caleb allora calmò il popolo che mormorava contro Mosè e disse: Saliamo subito e conquistiamo il paese, perché possiamo certamente farlo. |
| 31 | (13:32) Mais les hommes qui étaient montés avec lui, dirent: Nous ne sommes pas capables de monter contre ce peuple, car il est plus fort que nous. | But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. | Ma gli uomini che erano andati con lui dissero: Non possiamo salire contro questo popolo, perché è più Forte di noi. |
| 32 | (13:33) Et ils décrièrent devant les fils d'Israël le pays qu'ils avaient reconnu, disant: Le pays par lequel nous avons passé pour le reconnaître est un pays qui dévore ses habitants, et tout le peuple que nous y avons vu est de haute stature. | And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. | Così presentarono ai figli d'Israele un cattivo resoconto del paese che avevano esplorato dicendo: Il paese che abbiamo attraversato per esplorarlo è un paese che divora i suoi abitanti; e tutta la gente che in esso abbiamo visto è gente di alta statura. |
| 33 | (13:34) Et nous y avons vu les géants, fils d'Anak, qui est de la race des géants; et nous étions à nos yeux comme des sauterelles, et nous étions de même à leurs yeux. | And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. | Inoltre là abbiamo visto i giganti (i discendenti di Anak provengono dai giganti), di fronte ai quali ci sembrava di essere delle cavallette, e così dovevamo sembrare a loro. |
