| 2 | Et voici, il se fit un grand tremblement de terre, car l'Ange du Seigneur descendit du ciel, et vint, et roula la pierre à côté de l'entrée du sépulcre, et s'assit sur elle. | And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it. |
| 3 | Et son visage était comme un éclair, et son vêtement blanc comme de la neige. | His appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow: |
| 4 | Et les gardes en furent tellement saisis de frayeur, qu'ils devinrent comme morts. | and for fear of him the watchers did quake, and became as dead men. |
| 5 | Mais l'Ange prenant la parole, dit aux femmes: pour vous, n'ayez point de peur; car je sais que vous cherchez Jésus, qui a été crucifié. | And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye; for I know that ye seek Jesus, who hath been crucified. |
| 6 | Il n'est point ici; car il est ressuscité, comme il l'avait dit; venez, et voyez le lieu où le Seigneur était couché. | He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. |
| 7 | Et allez-vous-en promptement, et dites à ses Disciples qu'il est ressuscité des morts. Et voici, il s'en va devant vous en Galilée, vous le verrez là; voici, je vous l'ai dit. | And go quickly, and tell his disciples, He is risen from the dead; and lo, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. |
| 8 | Alors elles sortirent promptement du sépulcre avec crainte et grande joie; et coururent l'annoncer à ses Disciples. | And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word. |
| 9 | Mais comme elles allaient pour l'annoncer à ses Disciples, voici, Jésus se présenta devant elles, et leur dit: je vous salue. Et elles s'approchèrent, et embrassèrent ses pieds, et l'adorèrent. | And behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and took hold of his feet, and worshipped him. |
| 10 | Alors Jésus leur dit: ne craignez point; allez, et dites à mes frères d'aller en Galilée, et qu'ils me verront là. | Then saith Jesus unto them, Fear not: go tell my brethren that they depart into Galilee, and there shall they see me. |
| 11 | Or quand elles furent parties, voici, quelques-uns de la garde vinrent dans la ville, et ils rapportèrent aux principaux Sacrificateurs toutes les choses qui étaient arrivées. | Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city, and told unto the chief priests all the things that were come to pass. |
| 12 | Sur quoi les Sacrificateurs s'assemblèrent avec les Anciens, et après avoir consulté, ils donnèrent une bonne somme d'argent aux soldats, | And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave much money unto the soldiers, |
| 13 | En leur disant: dites: ses Disciples sont venus de nuit, et l'ont dérobé lorsque nous dormions. | saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. |
| 14 | Et si le Gouverneur vient à en entendre parler, nous le lui persuaderons, et nous vous mettrons hors de peine. | And if this come to the governor`s ears, we will persuade him, and rid you of care. |
| 15 | Eux donc ayant pris l'argent, firent ainsi qu'ils avaient été instruits; et ce bruit s'en est répandu parmi les Juifs, jusqu'à aujourd'hui. | So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying was spread abroad among the Jews, [and continueth] until this day. |
| 16 | Mais les onze Disciples s'en allèrent en Galilée, sur la montagne où Jésus leur avait ordonné de se rendre. | But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them. |
| 17 | Et quand ils l'eurent vu, ils l'adorèrent, mais quelques-uns doutèrent. | And when they saw him, they worshipped [him]; but some doubted. |
| 18 | Et Jésus s'approchant leur parla, en disant: toute puissance m'est donnée dans le ciel et sur la terre. | And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth. |
| 19 | Allez donc, et enseignez toutes les nations, les baptisant au Nom du Père, et du Fils, et du Saint-Esprit; | Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: |
| 20 | Et les enseignant de garder tout ce que je vous ai commandé. Et voici, je suis toujours avec vous jusques à la fin du monde. Amen. | teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. |
