| 55 | En cette heure-là Jésus dit aux foules: Etes-vous sortis comme après un brigand, avec des épées et des bâtons, pour me prendre? J'étais tous les jours assis parmi vous, enseignant dans le temple; et vous ne vous êtes pas saisis de moi. | In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me. | In quello stesso momento Gesù disse alle turbe: Voi siete usciti a prendermi con spade e bastoni, come contro un brigante; eppure ogni giorno ero seduto in mezzo a voi nel tempio ad insegnare, e non mi avete preso. |

De quoi ceux-ci témoignent-ils contre toi? | And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? | Allora il sommo sacerdote, alzatosi, gli disse: Non rispondi nulla a ciò che costoro testimoniano contro di te?. |
| 63 | Mais Jésus garda le silence. Et le souverain sacrificateur, répondant, lui dit: Je t'adjure, par le Dieu vivant, que tu nous dises si toi, tu es le Christ, le Fils de Dieu. | But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. | Ma Gesù taceva. Voici, vous avez ouï maintenant son blasphème: que vous en semble? | Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. | Allora il sommo sacerdote stracciò le sue vesti, dicendo: Egli ha bestemmiato; quale bisogno abbiamo più di testimoni?
