| 6 | Et sur le minuit un cri s'éleva: Voici l'époux qui vient; sortez au-devant de lui. | But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him. | E sulla mezzanotte si levò un grido: "Ecco, arriva lo sposo, uscitegli incontro!" |
| 7 | Alors toutes les vierges se levèrent et préparèrent leurs lampes. | Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. | Allora tutte quelle vergini si destarono e prepararono le loro lampade. |
| 8 | Et les folles dirent aux sages: Donnez-nous de votre huile; car nos lampes s'éteignent. | And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out. | E le stolte dissero alle avvedute: "Dateci del vostro olio, perché le nostre lampade stanno per spegnersi". |
| 9 | Mais les sages répondirent: Nous craignons qu'il n'y en ait pas assez pour nous et pour vous; allez plutôt vers ceux qui en vendent, et en achetez pour vous. | But the wise answered, saying, Peradventure there will not be enough for us and you: go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. | Ma le avvedute, rispondendo. dissero: "No, perché non basterebbe né a noi né a voi; andate piuttosto dai venditori e compratene". |
| 10 | Mais, pendant qu'elles allaient en acheter, l'époux vint; et celles qui étaient prêtes entrèrent avec lui aux noces; et la porte fut fermée. | And while they went away to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage feast: and the door was shut. | Ora, mentre quelle andavano a comprarne, arrivò lo sposo; le vergini che erano pronte entrarono con lui per le nozze; e la porta fu chiusa. |
| 11 | Après cela, les autres vierges vinrent aussi et dirent: Seigneur, Seigneur, ouvre-nous. | Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. | Più tardi giunsero anche le altre vergini, dicendo: "Signore, signore, aprici". |
| 12 | Mais il leur répondit: Je vous dis en vérité que je ne vous connais point. | But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. | Ma egli, rispondendo, disse: "in verità vi dico che non vi conosco" |
| 13 | Veillez donc, car vous ne savez ni le jour ni l'heure où le Fils de l'homme viendra. | Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour. | Vegliate dunque, perché non sapete né il giorno, né l'ora in cui il Figlio dell'uomo verrà. |
| 14 | Car il en est comme d'un homme qui, s'en allant en voyage, appela ses serviteurs et leur remit ses biens. | For [it is] as [when] a man, going into another country, called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. | Inoltre il regno dei cieli è simile a un uomo che, partendo per un viaggio chiamò i suoi servi e affidò loro i suoi beni. |
| 15 | Et à l'un il donna cinq talents, à l'autre deux, et à l'autre un; à chacun selon ses forces; et il partit aussitôt. | And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his several ability; and he went on his journey. | A uno diede cinque talenti, a un altro due e a un altro uno, a ciascuno secondo la sua capacità; e subito partì. |
| 16 | Or, celui qui avait reçu cinq talents s'en alla et en trafiqua; et il gagna cinq autres talents. | Straightway he that received the five talents went and traded with them, and made other five talents. | Ora colui che aveva ricevuto i cinque talenti, andò e trafficò con essi e ne guadagnò altri cinque. |
| 17 | De même, celui qui en avait reçu deux en gagna aussi deux autres. | In like manner he also that [received] the two gained other two. | Similmente anche quello dei due ne guadagnò altri due. |
| 18 | Mais celui qui n'en avait reçu qu'un s'en alla et creusa dans la terre, et y cacha l'argent de son maître. | But he that received the one went away and digged in the earth, and hid his lord`s money. | Ma colui che ne aveva ricevuto uno andò, fece una buca in terra e nascose il denaro del suo signore. |
| 19 | Longtemps après, le maître de ces serviteurs revint, et il leur fit rendre compte. | Now after a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and maketh a reckoning with them. | Ora, dopo molto tempo, ritornò il signore di quei servi e fece i conti con loro. |
| 20 | Alors celui qui avait reçu cinq talents, vint et présenta cinq autres talents, et dit: Seigneur, tu m'as remis cinq talents; en voici cinq autres que j'ai gagnés de plus. | And he that received the five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: lo, I have gained other five talents. | E colui che aveva ricevuto i cinque talenti si fece avanti e ne presentò altri cinque, dicendo: "Signore, tu mi affidasti cinque talenti, ecco, con quelli ne ho guadagnati altri cinque |
| 21 | Et son maître lui dit: Cela est bien, bon et fidèle serviteur; tu as été fidèle en peu de chose, je t'établirai sur beaucoup; entre dans la joie de ton seigneur. | His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord. | E il suo signore gli disse: "Bene, buono e fedele servo; tu sei stato fedele in poca cosa, io ti costituirò sopra molte cose; entra nella gioia del tuo signore". |

| 26 | Et son maître lui répondit: Méchant et paresseux serviteur, tu savais que je moissonne où je n'ai pas semé, et que je recueille où je n'ai pas répandu; | But his lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I did not scatter; | E il suo signore rispondendo, gli disse: "Malvagio e indolente servo, tu sapevi che io mieto dove non ho seminato e raccolgo dove non ho sparso; |
| 27 | Il te fallait donc donner mon argent aux banquiers, et à mon retour j'aurais retiré ce qui est à moi avec l'intérêt. | thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back mine own with interest. | tu avresti dovuto affidare il mio denaro ai banchieri e così, al mio ritorno, l'avrei riscosso con l'interesse. |
| 28 | Otez-lui donc le talent et le donnez à celui qui a les dix talents. | Take ye away therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him that hath the ten talents. | Toglietegli dunque il talento e datelo a colui che ha i dieci talenti. |
| 29 | Car à celui qui a, on donnera, et il aura encore davantage; mais à celui qui n'a pas, on ôtera même ce qu'il a. | For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away. | Poiché a chiunque ha, sarà dato e sovrabbonderà, ma a chi non ha gli sarà tolto anche quello che ha. |
| 30 | Jetez donc le serviteur inutile dans les ténèbres de dehors; là seront les pleurs et les grincements de dents. | And cast ye out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. | E gettate questo servo inutile nelle tenebre di fuori. Lì sarà il pianto e lo stridor di denti. |
| 31 | Or, quand le Fils de l'homme viendra dans sa gloire avec tous les saints anges, alors il s'assiéra sur le trône de sa gloire. | But when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory: | Ora, quando il Figlio dell'uomo verrà nella sua gloria con tutti i santi angeli, allora si siederà sul trono della sua gloria. |
| 32 | Et toutes les nations seront assemblées devant lui, et il séparera les uns d'avec les autres, comme un berger sépare les brebis d'avec les boucs. | and before him shall be gathered all the nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats; | E tutte le genti saranno radunate davanti a lui; ed egli separerà gli uni dagli altri, come il pastore separa le pecore dai capri. |
| 33 | Et il mettra les brebis à sa droite, et les boucs à sa gauche. | and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. | E metterà le pecore alla sua destra e i capri alla sinistra. |
| 34 | Alors le Roi dira à ceux qui seront à sa droite: Venez, vous qui êtes bénis de mon Père, possédez en héritage le royaume qui vous a été préparé dès la fondation du monde; | Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: | Allora il Re dirà a coloro che saranno alla sua destra: "Venite, benedetti del Padre mio; ricevete in eredità il regno che vi è stato preparato sin dalla fondazione del mondo. |
| 35 | Car j'ai eu faim, et vous m'avez donné à manger; j'ai eu soif, et vous m'avez donné à boire; j'étais étranger, et vous m'avez recueilli; | for I was hungry, and ye gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; | Poiché ebbi fame e mi deste da mangiare, ebbi sete e mi deste da bere; fui forestiero e mi accoglieste, |
| 36 | J'étais nu, et vous m'avez vêtu; j'étais malade, et vous m'avez visité; j'étais en prison, et vous êtes venus me voir. | naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came unto me. | fui ignudo e mi rivestiste, fui infermo e mi visitaste, fui in prigione e veniste a trovarmi". |
| 37 | Alors les justes lui répondront: Seigneur, quand est-ce que nous t'avons vu avoir faim, et que nous t'avons donné à manger; ou avoir soif, et que nous t'avons donné à boire? | Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or athirst, and gave thee drink? | Allora i giusti gli risponderanno, dicendo: "Signore, quando ti abbiamo visto affamato e ti abbiamo dato da mangiare? O assetato e ti abbiamo dato da bere? |
| 38 | Et quand est-ce que nous t'avons vu étranger, et que nous t'avons recueilli; ou nu, et que nous t'avons vêtu? | And when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? | E quando ti abbiamo visto forestiero e ti abbiamo ospitato? O ignudo e ti abbiamo rivestito? |
| 39 | Ou quand est-ce que nous t'avons vu malade ou en prison, et que nous sommes venus te voir? | And when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? | E quando ti abbiamo visto infermo, o in prigione e siamo venuti a visitarti?" |
| 40 | Et le Roi, répondant, leur dira: Je vous le dis en vérité, en tant que vous avez fait ces choses à l'un de ces plus petits de mes frères, vous me les avez faites à moi-même. | And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, [even] these least, ye did it unto me. | E il Re, rispondendo, dirà loro: "in verità vi dico: tutte le volte che l'avete fatto ad uno di questi miei minimi fratelli, l'avete fatto a me". |
| 41 | Ensuite il dira à ceux qui seront à sa gauche: Retirez-vous de moi, maudits, et allez au feu éternel, préparé au diable et à ses anges; | Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels: | Allora egli dirà ancora a coloro che saranno a sinistra: "Andate via da me maledetti, nel fuoco eterno che è stato preparato per il diavolo e per i suoi angeli. |
| 42 | Car j'ai eu faim, et vous ne m'avez pas donné à manger; j'ai eu soif, et vous ne m'avez pas donné à boire; | for I was hungry, and ye did not give me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink; | Poiché ebbi fame e non mi deste da mangiare, ebbi sete e non mi deste da bere |
| 43 | J'étais étranger, et vous ne m'avez pas recueilli; j'étais nu, et vous ne m'avez pas vêtu; j'étais malade et en prison, et vous ne m'avez pas visité. | I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. | fui forestiero e non mi accoglieste, ignudo e non mi rivestiste, infermo e in prigione e non mi visitaste". |
| 44 | Ils répondront aussi: Seigneur, quand est-ce que nous t'avons vu avoir faim, ou soif, ou être étranger, ou nu, ou malade, ou en prison, et que nous ne t'avons point assisté? | Then shall they also answer, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? | Allora anche questi gli risponderanno, dicendo: "Signore, quando ti abbiamo visto affamato, o assetato, o forestiero, o ignudo, o infermo, o in prigione e non ti abbiamo soccorso?". |
| 45 | Et il leur répondra: Je vous dis en vérité, qu'en tant que vous n'avez pas fait ces choses à l'un de ces plus petits, vous ne me les avez pas faites à moi-même. | Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of these least, ye did it not unto me. | Allora egli risponderà loro dicendo: "in verità vi dico: tutte le volte che non l'avete fatto a uno di questi minimi, non l'avete fatto neppure a me |
| 46 | Et ils iront aux peines éternelles; mais les justes iront à la vie éternelle. | And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life. | E questi andranno nelle pene eterne e i giusti nella vita eterna, |
