| 1 | Comme Jésus, sorti du temple s'en allait, ses disciples s'approchèrent pour lui faire remarquer les constructions du temple. | And Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way; and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple. |

Je vous le dis en vérité, il n'y sera pas laissé pierre sur pierre qui ne soit renversée. | But he answered and said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. |
| 3 | Lorsqu'il se fut assis sur la montagne des Oliviers, ses disciples s'approchèrent de lui, à part, et dirent : "Dites-nous quand ces choses arriveront, et quel sera le signe de votre avènement et de la fin du monde ?" | And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? |
| 4 | Jésus leur répondit : "Prenez garde que nul ne vous induise en erreur. | And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray. |
| 5 | Car beaucoup viendront sous mon nom, disant : "C'est moi qui suis le Christ, et ils en induiront un grand nombre en erreur. | For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray. |
| 6 | Vous aurez à entendre parler de guerres et de bruits de guerre : voyez ! n'en soyez pas troublés, car il faut que tout arrive; mais ce n'est pas encore la fin. | And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for [these things] must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet. |
| 7 | En effet on se dressera nation contre nation, royaume contre royaume, et il y aura des pestes, des famines et des tremblements de terre par endroits : | For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places. |
| 8 | tout cela est le commencement des douleurs. | But all these things are the beginning of travail. |
| 9 | Alors on vous livrera à la torture et on vous fera mourir, et vous serez en haine à toutes les nations, à cause de mon nom. | Then shall they deliver you up unto tribulation, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all the nations for my name`s sake. |
| 10 | Alors aussi beaucoup failliront; ils se trahiront les uns les autres et se haïront les uns les autres. | And then shall many stumble, and shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another. |
| 11 | Et il s'élèvera plusieurs faux prophètes qui en induiront un grand nombre en erreur. | And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray. |
| 12 | Et à cause des progrès croissants de l'iniquité, la charité d'un grand nombre se refroidira. | And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold. |
| 13 | Mais qui persévérera jusqu'à la fin sera sauvé. | But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. |
| 14 | Et cet évangile du royaume sera proclamé dans le monde entier, en témoignage pour toutes les nations; et alors viendra la fin. | And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come. |
| 15 | Quand donc vous verrez l'abomination de la désolation, dont a parlé le prophète Daniel, dressée en un lieu saint, - que celui qui lit comprenne ! - | When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth understand), |
| 16 | alors, que ceux (qui seront) dans la Judée s'enfuient dans les montagnes; | then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains: |
| 17 | que celui (qui sera) sur la terrasse ne descende pas prendre ce qu'il y a dans sa maison; | let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house: |
| 18 | et que celui (qui sera) dans les champs ne revienne pas en arrière pour prendre son manteau. | and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak. |
| 19 | Malheur aux femmes qui seront enceintes et à celles qui allaiteront en ces jours-là ! | But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! |
| 20 | Priez pour que votre fuite n'arrive pas en hiver, ni un jour de sabbat; | And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath: |
| 21 | car il y aura alors une grande tribulation, telle qu'il n'y en a point eu depuis le commencement du monde jusqu'à maintenant, et qu'il n'y en aura plus. | for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be. |
| 22 | Et si ces jours n'avaient été abrégés, nul vivant n'échapperait; mais, à cause des élus, ces jours seront abrégés. | And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect`s sake those days shall be shortened. |
| 23 | Alors, si quelqu'un vous dit : "Voici le Christ ici ! "ou "là ! "ne le croyez point. | Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe [it] not. |
| 24 | Car il s'élèvera de faux Christs et de faux prophètes, et ils feront de grands miracles et des prodiges jusqu'à induire en erreur, s'il se pouvait, les élus mêmes. | For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. |
| 25 | Voilà que je vous l'ai prédit. | Behold, I have told you beforehand. |
| 26 | Si donc on vous dit : "Voici qu'il est dans le désert ! "ne partez point; "Voici qu'il est dans le cellier ! ", ne le croyez point. | If therefore they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the wilderness; go not forth: Behold, he is in the inner chambers; believe [it] not. |
| 27 | Car, comme l'éclair part de l'orient et apparaît jusqu'à l'occident, ainsi sera l'avènement du Fils de l'homme. | For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man. |
| 28 | Où que soit le cadavre, là se rassembleront les aigles. | Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. |
| 29 | Aussitôt après la tribulation de ces jours, le soleil s'obscurcira, la lune ne donnera pas sa clarté, les astres tomberont du ciel, et les puissances des cieux seront ébranlées. | But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: |
| 30 | Alors apparaîtra dans le ciel le signe du Fils de l'homme, et alors toutes les tribus de la terre se lamenteront, et elles verront le Fils de l'homme venant sur les nuées du ciel avec grande puissance et gloire. | and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. |
| 31 | Et il enverra ses anges avec la trompette retentissante, et ils rassembleront ses élus des quatre vents, depuis une extrémité des cieux jusqu'à l'autre. | And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. |
| 32 | Du figuier apprenez cette comparaison : Dès que sa ramure devient tendre et que ses feuilles poussent, vous savez que l'été est proche. | Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh; |
| 33 | Ainsi, lorsque vous verrez toutes ces choses, sachez que (l'événement) est proche, aux portes. | even so ye also, when ye see all these things, know ye that he is nigh, [even] at the doors. |
| 34 | Je vous le dis en vérité, cette génération ne passera point que toutes ces choses ne soient arrivées. | Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished. |
| 35 | Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront point. | Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. |
| 36 | Quant à ce jour et à l'heure, nul ne les connaît, pas même les anges des cieux, mais le Père seul. | But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only. |
| 37 | Tels furent les jours de Noé, tel sera l'avènement du Fils de l'homme. | And as [were] the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man. |
| 38 | Car de même que dans les jours qui précédèrent le déluge, on mangeait et on buvait, on épousait et on était épousé, jusqu'au jour où Noé entra dans l'arche, | For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, |
| 39 | et qu'ils ne surent rien, jusqu'à la venue du déluge qui les emporta tous, ainsi sera aussi l'avènement du Fils de l'homme. | and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of man. |
| 40 | Alors, de deux (hommes) qui seront dans un champ, l'un sera pris, l'autre laissé; | Then shall two man be in the field; one is taken, and one is left: |
| 41 | de deux femmes qui seront à moudre à la meule, l'une sera prise, l'autre laissée. | two women [shall be] grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left. |
| 42 | Veillez donc, puisque vous ne savez pas quel jour votre Seigneur doit venir. | Watch therefore: for ye know not on what day your Lord cometh. |
| 43 | Sachez-le bien, si le maître de maison savait à quelle veille le voleur doit venir, il veillerait et ne laisserait pas percer sa maison. | But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through. |
| 44 | Tenez-vous donc prêts, vous aussi, car c'est à l'heure que vous ne pensez pas que le Fils de l'homme viendra. | Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh. |
| 45 | Quelqu'un donc est-il le serviteur fidèle et prudent que le maître a établi sur les gens de sa maison pour leur donner la nourriture au temps (voulu), | Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season? |
| 46 | heureux ce serviteur que son maître, à son arrivée, trouvera agissant ainsi ! | Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. |
| 47 | En vérité, je vous le dis, il l'établira sur tous ses biens. | Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath. |
| 48 | Mais si c'est un méchant serviteur qui se dise en lui-même : "Mon maître tarde, " | But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth; |
| 49 | et qu'il se mette à battre ses compagnons de service, qu'il mange et boive avec les ivrognes, | and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken; |
| 50 | le maître de ce serviteur viendra au jour où il ne s'y attend pas, et à l'heure qu'il ne sait pas, | the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not, |
| 51 | et il le fendra en deux, et lui assignera pour lot celui des hypocrites : là il y aura les pleurs et le grincement des dents. | and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. |
