| 1 | At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? | A cette heure-là, les disciples vinrent à Jésus, et lui dirent: Qui est le plus grand dans le royaume des cieux? | In quell'Ora i discepoli si accostarono a Gesù e gli chiesero: Chi dunque è il più grande nel regno dei cieli?. |
| 2 | And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, | Et Jésus, ayant fait venir un enfant, le mit au milieu d'eux, | E Gesù, chiamato a sé un piccolo fanciullo, lo pose in mezzo a loro |
| 3 | And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. | Et dit: Je vous le dis en vérité, si vous ne vous convertissez, et si vous ne devenez comme des enfants, vous n'entrerez point dans le royaume des cieux. | e disse: In verità vi dico: se non vi convertite e non diventate come piccoli fanciulli, voi non entrerete affatto nel regno dei cieli. |
| 4 | Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. | C'est pourquoi, quiconque s'abaissera, comme cet enfant, celui-là est le plus grand dans le royaume des cieux. | Chi dunque si umilierà come questo piccolo fanciullo, sarà il più grande nel regno dei cieli. |
| 5 | And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. | Et quiconque reçoit un tel enfant en mon nom, me reçoit. | E chiunque riceve un piccolo fanciullo come questo in nome mio, riceve me. |
| 6 | But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. | Mais si quelqu'un scandalise un de ces petits qui croient en moi, il vaudrait mieux pour lui qu'on lui attachât une meule au cou, et qu'on le jetât au fond de la mer. | Ma chi avrà scandalizzato uno di questi piccoli che credono in me, sarebbe meglio per lui che gli fosse legata una macina d'asino al collo e che fosse sommerso nel fondo del mare. |
| 7 | Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! | Malheur au monde à cause des scandales; il est nécessaire, il est vrai, qu'il arrive des scandales; mais malheur à l'homme par qui le scandale arrive! | Guai al mondo per gli scandali! Perché è necessario che avvengano gli scandali, ma guai a quell'uomo per colpa del quale avviene lo scandalo! |
| 8 | Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. | Mais si ta main ou ton pied te font tomber dans le péché, coupe-les, et jette-les loin de toi; car il vaut mieux que tu entres boiteux ou manchot dans la vie, que d'avoir deux pieds ou deux mains, et d'être jeté dans le feu éternel. | Ora, se la tua mano, o il tuo piede, ti è occasione di peccato, mozzalo e gettalo via da te; è meglio per te entrare nella vita monco o zoppo, che avere due mani e due piedi ed essere gettato nel fuoco eterno. |
| 9 | And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. | Et si ton oeil te fait tomber dans le péché, arrache-le, et jette-le loin de toi; car il vaut mieux que tu entres dans la vie n'ayant qu'un oeil, que d'avoir deux yeux, et d'être jeté dans l’angoisse du feu méprisant. | Parimenti, se il tuo occhio ti è occasione di peccato, cavalo e gettalo via da te, è meglio per te entrare nella vita avendo un occhio solo che, avendone due, esser gettato nella Geenna, del fuoco. |
| 10 | Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. | Prenez garde de ne mépriser aucun de ces petits; car je vous dis que dans les cieux leurs anges voient sans cesse la face de mon Père qui est aux cieux. | Guardatevi dal disprezzare alcuno di questi piccoli, perché io vi dico che gli angeli loro vedono continuamente nei cieli la faccia del Padre mio, che è nei cieli. |
| 11 | For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. | Car le Fils de l'homme est venu pour sauver ce qui était perdu. | Poiché il Figlio dell'uomo è venuto per salvare ciò che era perduto. |
| 12 | How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? | Que vous en semble? Si un homme a cent brebis, et qu'il y en ait une égarée, ne laisse-t-il pas les quatre-vingt-dix-neuf sur les montagnes, pour s'en aller chercher celle qui s'est égarée? | Che ve ne pare? Se un uomo ha cento pecore ed una di esse si smarrisce non lascerà egli le novantanove sui monti per andare in cerca di quella smarrita? |
| 13 | And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. | Et s'il arrive qu'il la trouve, je vous dis en vérité qu'il en a plus de joie, que des quatre-vingt-dix-neuf qui ne se sont point égarées. | E se gli capita di ritrovarla, io vi dico in verità che si rallegrerà più di questa che delle novantanove che non si erano smarrite. |
| 14 | Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. | Ainsi la volonté de votre Père qui est aux cieux n'est pas qu'un seul de ces petits se perde. | Così è la volontà del Padre vostro che è nei cieli, che neppure uno di questi piccoli perisca. |
| 15 | Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. | Si ton frère a péché contre toi, va et reprends-le entre toi et lui seul; s'il t'écoute, tu as gagné ton frère. | Ora, se il tuo fratello ha peccato contro di te, va' e riprendilo fra te e lui solo; se ti ascolta, tu hai guadagnato il tuo fratello; |
| 16 | But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. | Mais s'il ne t'écoute pas, prends avec toi encore une ou deux personnes, afin que tout soit réglé sur la parole de deux ou de trois témoins. | ma se non ti ascolta, prendi con te ancora uno o due persone, affinché ogni parola sia confermata per la bocca di due o tre testimoni. |
| 17 | And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. | Mais s'il ne veut pas les écouter, proclame-lui l'Appel à Renaître; et s'il refuse d'entendre l'Appel à Renaître, regarde-le comme un païen et un péager. | Se poi rifiuta di ascoltarli, dillo alla chiesa; e se rifiuta anche di ascoltare la chiesa, sia per te come il pagano e il pubblicano. |
| 18 | Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. | Je vous dis en vérité que tout ce que vous aurez lié sur la terre, sera lié dans le ciel; et tout ce que vous aurez délié sur la terre, sera délié dans le ciel. | In verità vi dico che tutte le cose che voi avrete legate sulla terra saranno legate nel cielo; e tutte le cose che avrete sciolte sulla terra saranno sciolte nel cielo |
| 19 | Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. | Je vous dis encore, que si deux d'entre vous s'accordent sur la terre à demander quoi que ce soit, ils l'obtiendront de mon Père qui est aux cieux. | Ancora io vi dico che, se due di voi si accordano sulla terra per domandare qualunque cosa, questa sarà loro concessa dal Padre mio che è nei cieli. |
| 20 | For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. | Car où il y a deux ou trois personnes assemblées en mon nom, JE SUIS là au milieu d'elles. | Poiché dovunque due o tre sono riuniti nel mio nome, io sono in mezzo a loro. |
| 21 | Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? | Alors Pierre, s'étant approché, lui dit: Seigneur, combien de fois pardonnerai-je à mon frère, lorsqu'il péchera contre moi? | Allora Pietro, accostatosi, gli disse: Signore, se il mio fratello pecca contro di me, quante volte gli dovrò perdonare? Fino a sette volte?. |
| 22 | Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. | Sera-ce jusqu'à sept fois? Jésus lui répondit: Je ne te dis pas jusqu'à sept fois, mais jusqu'à septante fois sept fois. | Gesù gli disse: Io non ti dico fino a sette volte, ma fino a settanta volte sette. |
| 23 | Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. | C'est pourquoi le royaume des cieux est semblable à un roi qui voulut faire l'inventaire avec ses serviteurs. | Perciò il regno dei cieli è simile ad un re, il quale volle fare i conti con i suoi servi. |
| 24 | And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. | Quand il eut commencé de compter, on lui en amena un qui lui devait dix mille talents; | Avendo iniziato a fare i conti, gli fu presentato uno che gli era debitore di diecimila talenti. |
| 25 | But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. | Et parce qu'il n'avait pas de quoi payer, son maître commanda qu'il fût vendu, lui, sa femme et ses enfants, et tout ce qu'il avait, afin que la dette fût payée. | E non avendo questi di che pagare, il suo padrone comandò che fosse venduto lui con sua moglie, i suoi figli e tutto quanto aveva, perché il debito fosse saldato. |
| 26 | The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. | Et ce serviteur, se jetant à terre, le suppliait, en disant: Seigneur, aie patience envers moi, et je te payerai tout. | Allora quel servo, gettandosi a terra gli si prostrò davanti dicendo: "Signore, abbi pazienza con me e ti pagherò tutto" |
| 27 | Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. | Alors le maître de ce serviteur, ému de compassion, le laissa aller, et lui remit la dette. | Mosso a compassione, il padrone di quel servo lo lasciò andare e gli condonò il debito. |
| 28 | But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. | Mais ce serviteur, étant sorti, rencontra un de ses compagnons de service, qui lui devait cent deniers, et, l'ayant saisi, il l'étranglait, en disant: Paye-moi ce que tu me dois. | Ma quel servo, uscito fuori, incontrò uno dei suoi conservi, che gli doveva cento denari; e, afferratolo per la gola, lo soffocava dicendo: "Pagami ciò che mi devi" |
| 29 | And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. | Et son compagnon de service, se jetant à ses pieds, le suppliait, en disant: Aie patience envers moi, et je te payerai tout. | Allora il suo conservo, gettandosi ai suoi piedi, lo supplicava dicendo: "Abbi pazienza con me, e ti pagherò tutto" |
| 30 | And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. | Mais lui ne le voulut point, et, s'en étant allé, le fit jeter en prison, jusqu'à ce qu'il eût payé la dette. | Ma costui non volle, anzi andò e lo fece imprigionare, finché non avesse pagato il debito. |
| 31 | So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. | Ses compagnons de service, voyant ce qui s'était passé, en furent fort attristés; et ils vinrent rapporter à leur maître tout ce qui était arrivé. | Ora gli altri servi, visto quanto era accaduto, ne furono grandemente rattristati e andarono a riferire al loro padrone tutto ciò che era accaduto. |
| 32 | Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: | Alors son maître le fit venir et lui dit: Méchant serviteur, je t'avais remis toute cette dette, parce que tu m'en avais prié; | Allora il suo padrone lo chiamò a sé e gli disse: "servo malvagio, io ti ho condonato tutto quel debito, perché mi hai supplicato. |
| 33 | Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? | Ne te fallait-il pas aussi avoir pitié de ton compagnon de service, comme j'avais eu pitié de toi? | Non dovevi anche tu aver pietà del tuo conservo, come io ho avuto pietà di te?" |
| 34 | And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. | Et son maître, étant irrité, le livra aux bourreaux, jusqu'à ce qu'il eût payé tout ce qu'il lui devait. | E il suo padrone, adiratosi, lo consegnò agli aguzzini finché non avesse pagato tutto quanto gli doveva. |
| 35 | So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. | C'est ainsi que vous fera mon Père céleste, si vous ne pardonnez pas, chacun de vous, de tout son cœur, à son frère ses fautes. | Così il mio Padre celeste farà pure a voi, se ciascuno di voi non perdona di cuore al proprio fratello i suoi falli. |
