And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. And he called unto him his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of disease and all manner of sickness.
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother;Ora i nomi dei dodici apostoli sono questi: il primo Simone detto Pietro e Andrea suo fratello Giacomo di Zebedeo e Giovanni suo fratello
Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the [son] of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;Filippo e Bartolomeo; Tommaso e Matteo il pubblicano, Giacomo di Alfeo e Lebbeo, soprannominato Taddeo;
Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.Simon the Cananaean, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:These twelve Jesus sent forth, and charged them, saying, Go not into [any] way of the Gentiles, and enter not into any city of the Samaritans:Questi sono i dodici che Gesù inviò dopo aver dato loro questi ordini: Non andate tra i gentili e non entrate in alcuna città dei Samaritani,
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.ma andate piuttosto alle pecore perdute della casa d'Israele,
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons: freely ye received, freely give.Guarite gli infermi, mondate i lebbrosi, risuscitate i morti, scacciate i demoni; gratuitamente avete ricevuto, gratuitamente date.
Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,Get you no gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses;Non fate provvista di oro, né di argento né di denaro nelle vostre cinture,
Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.no wallet for [your] journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.né di sacca da viaggio, né di due tuniche, né di calzari, né di bastone, perché l'operaio è degno del suo nutrimento.
And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And into whatsoever city or village ye shall enter, search out who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go forth.
And when ye come into an house, salute it.And as ye enter into the house, salute it.E quando entrate nella casa, datele il vostro saluto,
And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.E se quella è degna, venga la vostra pace su di essa; ma, se non è degna, la vostra pace ritorni a voi.
And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, as ye go forth out of that house or that city, shake off the dust of your feet.E se qualcuno non vi riceve e non ascolta le vostre parole, uscendo da quella casa o da quella città, scuotete la polvere dai vostri piedi,
Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.Ecco, io vi mando come pecore in mezzo ai lupi; siate dunque prudenti come serpenti e semplici come colombe.
But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in theirs synagogues they will scourge you;Ma guardatevi dagli uomini, perché vi trascineranno davanti ai loro sinedri, e vi flagelleranno nelle loro sinagoghe,
And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.yea and before governors and kings shall ye be brought for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.E sarete condotti davanti ai governatori e davanti ai re, per causa mia, per dare testimonianza a loro e ai gentili.
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that hour what ye shall speak.Quando essi vi metteranno nelle loro mani, non preoccupatevi di come parlerete o di che cosa dovrete dire; perché in quella stessa ora vi sarà dato ciò che dovrete dire;
For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaketh in you.poiché non sarete voi a parlare, ma lo Spirito del Padre vostro che parla in voi.
And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father his child: and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.Ora il fratello consegnerà a morte il fratello e il padre il figlio; e i figli insorgeranno contro i genitori e li faranno morire.
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name`s sake: but he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.E sarete odiati da tutti a causa del mio nome; ma chi avrà perseverato fino alla fine, sarà salvato,
But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone through the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.
It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? It is enough for the disciple that he be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his household!
Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. What I tell you in the darkness, speak ye in the light; and what ye hear in the ear, proclaim upon the house-tops.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.E non temete coloro che uccidono il corpo, ma non possono uccidere l'anima; temete piuttosto colui che può far perire l'anima e il corpo nella Geenna.
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father:Non si vendono forse due passeri per un soldo?
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven.
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.Think not that I came to send peace on the earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law:Perché io sono venuto a mettere disaccordo tra figlio e padre tra figlia e madre, tra nuora e suocera,
And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.and a man`s foes [shall be] they of his own household.e i nemici dell'uomo saranno quelli di casa sua.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.Chi ama padre o madre più di me, non è degno di me; e chi ama figlio o figlia più di me, non è degno di me.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.And he that doth not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.E chi non prende la sua croce e non viene dietro a me, non è degno di me.
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.Chi avrà trovato la sua vita, la perderà; ma chi avrà perduto la sua vita per causa mia, la ritroverà.
He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.Chi riceve voi, riceve me; e chi riceve me, riceve colui che mi ha mandato.
He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet`s reward: and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man`s reward.
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you he shall in no wise lose his reward.E chiunque darà da bere anche un solo bicchiere d'acqua fredda a uno di questi piccoli nel nome di un discepolo, in verità vi dico, che egli non perderà affatto il suo premio,
