These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:Ce sont ces douze que Jésus envoya, après leur avoir donné ces instructions : "N'allez point vers les Gentils, et n'entrez dans aucune ville des Samaritains;These twelve Jesus sent forth, and charged them, saying, Go not into [any] way of the Gentiles, and enter not into any city of the Samaritans:
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.allez plutôt aux brebis perdues de la maison d'Israël.but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.Sur votre chemin, annoncez ceci : "Le royaume des cieux est proche."And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons: freely ye received, freely give.
Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,Ne vous procurez ni or, ni argent, ni petite monnaie pour vos ceintures, Get you no gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses;
Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.ni besace pour la route, ni deux tuniques, ni sandales, ni bâton; car l'ouvrier mérite sa nourriture.no wallet for [your] journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And into whatsoever city or village ye shall enter, search out who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go forth.
And when ye come into an house, salute it.En entrant dans la maison, saluez-la;And as ye enter into the house, salute it.
And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.et si la maison en est digne, que votre paix vienne sur elle; mais si elle n'est pas digne, que votre paix vous revienne.And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, as ye go forth out of that house or that city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;Tenez-vous en garde contre les hommes, car ils vous livreront aux sanhédrins et vous flagelleront dans leurs synagogues.But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in theirs synagogues they will scourge you;
And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.Vous serez traduits à cause de moi devant gouverneurs et rois, en témoignage pour eux et les Gentils.yea and before governors and kings shall ye be brought for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that hour what ye shall speak.
For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaketh in you.
And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father his child: and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name`s sake: but he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone through the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.
It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? It is enough for the disciple that he be as his teacher, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more them of his household!
Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. What I tell you in the darkness, speak ye in the light; and what ye hear in the ear, proclaim upon the house-tops.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father:
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.Quant à vous, même les cheveux de votre tête sont tous comptés.but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.Celui donc qui me confessera devant les hommes, moi aussi je le confesserai devant mon Père qui est dans les cieux;Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven.
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.mais celui qui me reniera devant les hommes, moi aussi je le renierai devant mon Père qui est dans les cieux.But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. Think not that I came to send peace on the earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.Car je suis venu séparer le fils de son père, la fille de sa mère, et la bru de sa belle-mère;For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law:
And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.et on aura pour ennemis les gens de sa propre maison.and a man`s foes [shall be] they of his own household.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.Celui qui aime son père ou sa mère plus que moi n'est pas digne de moi; et celui qui aime son fils ou sa fille plus que moi n'est pas digne de moi.He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.Celui qui ne prend pas sa croix et ne me suit pas, n'est pas digne de moi.And he that doth not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.Celui qui cherche à conserver sa vie, la perdra; et celui qui perd sa vie à cause de moi, la retrouvera.He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.Celui qui vous reçoit me reçoit, et celui qui me reçoit, reçoit celui qui m'a envoyé.He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet`s reward: and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man`s reward.
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you he shall in no wise lose his reward.
