| 1 | En ces jours-là, il y avait avec Jésus une grande multitude de gens, et comme ils n'avaient rien à manger, il appela ses disciples, et leur dit: | In those days, when there was again a great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, | In quei giorni, essendovi una folla grandissima e non avendo da mangiare, Gesù chiamò a sé i suoi discepoli, e disse loro: |

| 3 | Et si je les renvoie à jeun dans leurs maisons, les forces leur manqueront en chemin; car quelques-uns sont venus de loin. | and if I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way; and some of them are come from far. | E se io li rimando digiuni a casa, verranno meno per via; alcuni di loro, infatti, sono venuti da lontano. |
| 4 | Et ses disciples lui répondirent: D'où pourrait-on avoir des pains pour les rassasier dans ce désert? | And his disciples answered him, Whence shall one be able to fill these men with bread here in a desert place? | E i suoi discepoli gli risposero: Come potrebbe alcuno saziare di pane costoro, qui nel deserto?. |
| 5 | Et il leur demanda: Combien avez-vous de pains? | And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven. | Ed egli domandò loro: Quanti pani avete?. Essi dissero: Sette. |
| 6 | Et ils dirent: Sept. Alors il commanda aux foules de s'asseoir à terre; et ayant pris les sept pains, et rendu grâces, il les rompit et les donna à ses disciples pour les distribuer; et ils les distribuèrent au peuple. | And he commandeth the multitude to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks, he brake, and gave to his disciples, to set before them; and they set them before the multitude. | Allora egli ordinò alla folla di sedere per terra; e presi i sette pani, rese grazie, li spezzò e li diede ai suoi discepoli, perché li distribuissero alla folla; ed essi li distribuirono. |
| 7 | Ils avaient aussi quelques petits poissons; et Jésus, ayant rendu grâces, ordonna qu'on les leur présentât aussi. | And they had a few small fishes: and having blessed them, he commanded to set these also before them. | Avevano pure alcuni pesciolini, dopo averli benedetti, ordinò che anche quelli fossero distribuiti alla folla. |
| 8 | Ils en mangèrent et furent rassasiés; et on remporta sept corbeilles pleines des morceaux qui étaient restés. | And they ate, and were filled: and they took up, of broken pieces that remained over, seven baskets. | Così essi mangiarono a sazietà; e i discepoli portarono via sette panieri di pezzi avanzati. |
| 9 | Or, ceux qui mangèrent étaient environ quatre mille; après quoi il les renvoya. | And they were about four thousand: and he sent them away. | Or quelli che avevano mangiato erano circa quattromila; poi li licenziò. |
| 10 | Puis entrant aussitôt dans la barque avec ses disciples, il alla aux quartiers de Dalmanutha. | And straightway he entered into the boat with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha. | E subito, salito in barca con i suoi discepoli, andò dalle parti di Dalmanuta. |
| 11 | Et il vint là des pharisiens, qui se mirent à disputer avec lui, lui demandant, en le tentant, un miracle du ciel. | And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, trying him. | Sopraggiunsero i farisei e cominciarono a discutere con lui, chiedendogli un segno dal cielo per metterlo alla prova. |
| 12 | Et Jésus, gémissant en son esprit, dit: Pourquoi cette race demande-t-elle un miracle? Je vous dis en vérité, qu'il ne lui en sera donné aucun. | And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation. | Ma egli, gemendo nel suo spirito, disse: Perché questa generazione chiede un segno? In verità vi dico che non sarà dato alcun segno a questa generazione. |
| 13 | Et les ayant laissés, il rentra dans la barque, et passa à l'autre bord. | And he left them, and again entering into [the boat] departed to the other side. | Quindi lasciatili, salì di nuovo in barca e passò all'altra riva. |
| 14 | Or, ils avaient oublié de prendre des pains, et n'en avaient qu'un avec eux dans la barque. | And they forgot to take bread; and they had not in the boat with them more than one loaf. | Ora i discepoli avevano dimenticato di prendere del pane e non avevano con sé nella barca che un pane solo. |
| 15 | Et il leur fit cette défense: Gardez-vous avec soin du levain des pharisiens, et du levain d'Hérode. | And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod. | Ed egli li ammoniva, dicendo: State attenti, guardatevi dal lievito dei farisei e dal lievito di Erode!. |
| 16 | Et ils raisonnaient entre eux, disant: C'est parce que nous n'avons point de pains. | And they reasoned one with another, saying, We have no bread. | Ma essi discutevano fra di loro dicendo: Noi non abbiamo pane. |
| 17 | Et Jésus, l'ayant connu, leur dit: Pourquoi raisonnez-vous sur ce que vous n'avez point de pains? N'entendez-vous et ne comprenez-vous point encore? Avez-vous toujours le coeur aveuglé? | And Jesus perceiving it saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? do ye not yet perceive, neither understand? have ye your heart hardened? | Accortosene, Gesù disse loro: Perché discutete sul fatto che non avete pane? Non capite ancora e non intendete? Avete il vostro cuore ancora indurito? |
| 18 | Ayant des yeux, ne voyez-vous point? Ayant des oreilles, n'entendez-vous point? Et n'avez-vous point de mémoire? | Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? | Avete occhi e non vedete, avete orecchi e non udite? E non vi ricordate? |
| 19 | Lorsque je rompis les cinq pains pour les cinq mille hommes, combien remportâtes-vous de paniers pleins de morceaux? Ils lui dirent: Douze. | When I brake the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve. | Quando spezzai i cinque pani per i cinquemila, quante ceste piene di pezzi avete raccolto?. Essi dissero: Dodici. |
| 20 | Et lorsque je rompis les sept pains pour les quatre mille hommes, combien remportâtes-vous de corbeilles pleines de morceaux? Ils lui dirent: Sept. | And when the seven among the four thousand, how many basketfuls of broken pieces took ye up? And they say unto him, Seven. | E quando spezzai i sette pani per i quattromila, quanti panieri pieni di pezzi raccoglieste?. Ed essi dissero: Sette. |
| 21 | Et il leur dit: Comment donc ne comprenez-vous point? | And he said unto them, Do ye not yet understand? | Ed egli disse loro: Come, ancora non capite?. |
| 22 | Et Jésus étant venu à Bethsaïda, on lui présenta un aveugle qu'on le pria de toucher. | And they come unto Bethsaida. And they bring to him a blind man, and beseech him to touch him. | Poi venne a Betsaida; e gli portarono un cieco, pregandolo di toccarlo. |
| 23 | Alors il prit l'aveugle par la main, et l'ayant mené hors du bourg, il lui mit de la salive sur les yeux, et lui ayant imposé les mains, il lui demanda s'il voyait quelque chose. | And he took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village; and when he had spit on his eyes, and laid his hands upon him, he asked him, Seest thou aught? | Allora preso il cieco per mano, lo condusse fuori dal villaggio e, dopo avergli sputato sugli occhi e impostegli le mani, gli domandò se vedesse qualcosa. |
| 24 | Et lui, ayant regardé, dit: Je vois marcher des hommes qui me paraissent comme des arbres. | And he looked up, and said, I see men; for I behold [them] as trees, walking. | E quegli, alzando gli occhi, disse: Vedo gli uomini camminare e mi sembrano alberi. |
| 25 | Jésus lui mit encore les mains sur les yeux, et lui dit de regarder; et il fut guéri, et il les voyait tous distinctement. | Then again he laid his hands upon his eyes; and he looked stedfastly, and was restored, and saw all things clearly. | Allora gli pose di nuovo le mani sugli occhi e lo fece guardare in alto; ed egli recuperò la vista e vedeva tutti chiaramente. |
| 26 | Et il le renvoya dans sa maison, et lui dit: Ne rentre pas dans le bourg, et ne le dis à personne du bourg. | And he sent him away to his home, saying, Do not even enter into the village. | E Gesù lo rimandò a casa sua, dicendo: Non entrare nel villaggio e non dirlo ad alcuno nel villaggio. |
| 27 | Et Jésus s'en alla avec ses disciples, dans les bourgs de Césarée de Philippe; et en chemin il interrogeait ses disciples, en disant: Qui dit-on que je suis? | And Jesus went forth, and his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi: and on the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Who do men say that I am? | Poi Gesù con i suoi discepoli, se ne andò per le borgate di Cesarea di Filippo; e lungo il cammino interrogò i suoi discepoli, dicendo loro: Chi dice la gente che io sia?. |
| 28 | Ils répondirent: Les uns disent que tu es Jean-Baptiste; et les autres, Élie; et les autres, l'un des prophètes. | And they told him, saying, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but others, One of the prophets. | Essi risposero: Alcuni Giovanni Battista, altri Elia, ed altri uno dei profeti. |
| 29 | Et il leur dit: Et vous, qui dites-vous que je suis? Pierre, répondant, lui dit: Tu es le Christ. | And he asked them, But who say ye that I am? Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. | Ed egli disse loro: Ma voi, chi dite che io sia?. E Pietro, rispondendo, gli disse: Tu sei il Cristo. |
| 30 | Et il leur défendit très sévèrement de dire cela de lui à personne. | And he charged them that they should tell no man of him. | Allora egli intimò loro severamente di non parlare di lui ad alcuno. |
| 31 | Alors il commença à leur apprendre qu'il fallait que le Fils de l'homme souffrît beaucoup, et qu'il fût rejeté par les anciens, par les principaux sacrificateurs et par les scribes, et qu'il fût mis à mort, et qu'il ressuscitât trois jours après. | And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. | Poi cominciò a insegnare loro che era necessario che il Figlio dell'uomo soffrisse molte cose, fosse riprovato dagli anziani dai capi dei sacerdoti e dagli scribi e fosse ucciso, e dopo tre giorni risuscitasse. |
| 32 | Et il tenait ces discours tout ouvertement. Alors Pierre le prenant avec lui, se mit à le censurer. | And he spake the saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him. | E parlava di queste cose apertamente. Allora Pietro, lo prese in disparte e cominciò a riprenderlo. |
| 33 | Mais Jésus se tournant et regardant ses disciples, censura Pierre et lui dit: Arrière de moi, Satan; car tes pensées ne sont pas aux choses de Dieu, mais à celles des hommes. | But he turning about, and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and saith, Get thee behind me, Satan; for thou mindest not the things of God, but the things of men. | Ma egli, voltatosi e riguardando i suoi discepoli, sgridò Pietro, dicendo: Vattene lontano da me, Satana, perché tu non hai il senso delle cose di Dio, ma delle cose degli uomini. |
| 34 | Et appelant le peuple avec ses disciples, il leur dit: Quiconque veut venir après moi, qu'il renonce à soi-même, qu'il se charge de sa croix, et qu'il me suive. | And he called unto him the multitude with his disciples, and said unto them, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. | Poi chiamata a sé la folla con i suoi discepoli, disse loro: Chiunque vuol venire dietro a me rinneghi se stesso, prenda la sua croce e mi segua |
| 35 | Car quiconque voudra sauver sa vie, la perdra; mais quiconque perdra sa vie à cause de moi et de l'Évangile, la sauvera. | For whosoever would save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel`s shall save it. | perché chiunque vorrà salvare la sua vita, la perderà; ma chi perderà la sua vita per amor mio e dell'evangelo, la salverà. |
| 36 | Car que servirait-il à un homme de gagner tout le monde, s'il perdait son âme? | For what doth it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? | Che gioverà infatti all'uomo guadagnare il mondo intero, se poi perde l'anima sua? |
| 37 | Ou que donnerait l'homme en échange de son âme? | For what should a man give in exchange for his life? | O che cosa potrebbe dare l'uomo in cambio dell'anima sua? |
| 38 | Car quiconque aura eu honte de moi et de mes paroles, parmi cette race adultère et pécheresse, le Fils de l'homme aura aussi honte de lui, lorsqu'il viendra dans la gloire de son Père avec les saints anges. | For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man also shall be ashamed of him, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. | Perché chi si vergognerà di me e delle mie parole, in mezzo a questa generazione adultera e peccatrice, anche il Figlio dell'uomo si vergognerà di lui, quando verrà nella gloria del Padre suo, con i santi angeli. |
