| 4 | Et lorsqu'ils reviennent des places publiques, ils ne mangent point non plus sans s'être lavés. Il y a aussi beaucoup d'autres choses qu'ils ont reçues pour les observer, comme de laver les coupes, les pots, les vaisseaux d'airain et les lits. | and [when they come] from the market-place, except they bathe themselves, they eat not; and many other things there are, which they have received to hold, washings of cups, and pots, and brasen vessels.) | e, quando tornano dalla piazza, non mangiano senza prima essersi purificati. | 5 | Là-dessus les pharisiens et les scribes lui demandèrent: D'où vient que tes disciples ne suivent pas la tradition des anciens, et qu'ils prennent leur repas sans se laver les mains? | And the Pharisees and the scribes ask him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with defiled hands? | Poi i farisei e gli scribi gli domandarono: Perché i tuoi discepoli non si comportano secondo la tradizione degli anziani, ma prendono il cibo senza lavarsi le mani?. |
| 6 | Il leur répondit: Hypocrites, Ésaïe a bien prophétisé à votre sujet, quand il a dit: Ce peuple m'honore des lèvres; mais leur coeur est bien éloigné de moi. | And he said unto them, Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their lips, But their heart is far from me. | Ma egli, rispondendo, disse loro: Ben profetizzò Isaia di voi, ipocriti, come sta scritto: "Questo popolo mi onora con le labbra, ma il loro cuore è lontano da me. |
| 7 | Mais c'est en vain qu'ils m'honorent, enseignant des doctrines qui sont des commandements d'hommes. | But in vain do they worship me, Teaching [as their] doctrines the precepts of men. | Ma invano mi rendono un culto, insegnando dottrine che sono precetti di uomini" |
| 8 | Car, en abandonnant le commandement de Dieu, vous observez la tradition des hommes, lavant les pots et les coupes, et faisant beaucoup d'autres choses semblables. | Ye leave the commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of men. | Trascurando infatti il comandamento di Dio, vi attenete alla tradizione degli uomini: lavatura di brocche e di coppe; e fate molte altre cose simili. |
| 9 | Il leur dit aussi: Vous annulez fort bien le commandement de Dieu, pour garder votre tradition; | And he said unto them, Full well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your tradition. | Disse loro ancora: Voi siete abili nell'annullare il comandamento di Dio, per osservare la vostra tradizione. |
| 10 | Car Moïse a dit: Honore ton père et ta mère; et que celui qui maudira son père ou sa mère soit puni de mort; | For Moses said, Honor thy father and thy mother; and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die the death: | Mosè infatti ha detto: "onora tuo padre e tua madre" e: "chi maledice il padre o la madre sia messo a morte". |
| 11 | Mais vous, vous ajoutez: A moins qu'il n'ait dit à son père ou à sa mère: Tout ce dont je pourrais t'assister est corban, c'est-à-dire, un don consacré à Dieu. | but ye say, If a man shall say to his father or his mother, That wherewith thou mightest have been profited by me is Corban, that is to say, Given [to God]; | Ma voi dite: "Se un uomo dice a suo padre o a sua madre: Tutto quello con cui potrei assisterti è Corban cioè un'offerta a Dio", |

| 13 | Anéantissant la parole de Dieu par votre tradition, que vous avez établie; et vous faites beaucoup d'autres choses semblables. | making void the word of God by your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things ye do. | annullando così la parola di Dio con la vostra tradizione, che voi avete tramandata. E fate molte altre cose simili. |
| 14 | Alors ayant appelé toute la multitude, il leur dit: Écoutez-moi tous, et comprenez ceci: | And he called to him the multitude again, and said unto them, Hear me all of you, and understand: | Poi, chiamata a sé tutta la folla, disse loro: Ascoltatemi tutti ed intendete: |
| 15 | Rien de ce qui est hors de l'homme et qui entre en lui, ne le peut souiller; mais ce qui sort de lui, voilà ce qui souille l'homme. | there is nothing from without the man, that going into him can defile him; but the things which proceed out of the man are those that defile the man. | Non c'è nulla di esterno all'uomo che, entrando in lui, possa contaminarlo; sono invece le cose che escono da lui che lo contaminano. |
| 16 | Si quelqu'un a des oreilles pour entendre, qu'il entende. | [If any man hath ears to hear, let him hear.] | Chi ha orecchi da udire, oda!. |
| 17 | Quand il fut entré dans la maison, après avoir quitté la multitude, ses disciples l'interrogèrent sur cette parabole. | And when he was entered into the house from the multitude, his disciples asked of him the parable. | Quando poi egli fu rientrato in casa, lontano dalla folla, i suoi discepoli lo interrogarono sul significato della parabola. |
| 18 | Et il leur dit: Etes-vous aussi sans intelligence? Ne comprenez-vous pas que rien de ce qui entre du dehors dans l'homme, ne le peut souiller? | And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Perceive ye not, that whatsoever from without goeth into the man, [it] cannot defile him; | Ed egli disse loro: Siete anche voi così privi d'intelligenza? Non capite voi che tutto ciò che dal di fuori entra nell'uomo non può contaminarlo, |
| 19 | Parce que cela ne lui entre point dans le coeur, mais dans le ventre, et va aux lieux secrets, ce qui purifie tous les aliments. | because it goeth not into his heart, but into his belly, and goeth out into the draught? [This he said], making all meats clean. | perché non entra nel suo cuore, ma nel ventre, e poi se ne va nella fogna?. Così dicendo, dichiarava puri tutti gli alimenti. |
| 20 | Il disait donc: Ce qui sort de l'homme, c'est ce qui souille l'homme. | And he said, That which proceedeth out of the man, that defileth the man. | Disse ancora: Ciò che esce dall'uomo, quello lo contamina. |
| 21 | Car du dedans, c'est-à-dire, du coeur des hommes, sortent les mauvaises pensées, les adultères, les fornications, les meurtres, | For from within, out of the heart of men, evil thoughts proceed, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, | Dal di dentro infatti, cioè dal cuore degli uomini, procedono pensieri malvagi, adultéri, fornicazioni, omicidi, |
| 22 | Les larcins, la cupidité, les méchancetés, la fraude, l'impudicité, l'oeil envieux, la médisance, la fierté, la folie. | covetings, wickednesses, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, railing, pride, foolishness: | furti, cupidigie, malizie, frodi, insolenza, invidia, bestemmia, orgoglio, stoltezza. |
| 23 | Tous ces vices sortent du dedans et souillent l'homme. | all these evil things proceed from within, and defile the man. | Tutte queste cose malvagie escono dal di dentro dell'uomo e lo contaminano. |
| 24 | Puis, étant parti de là, il s'en alla aux frontières de Tyr et de Sidon; et étant entré dans une maison, il ne voulait pas que personne le sût; mais il ne put être caché. | And from thence he arose, and went away into the borders of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered into a house, and would have no man know it; and he could not be hid. | Poi partì di là e andò nel territorio di Tiro e di Sidone, entrò in una casa e non voleva che alcuno lo sapesse, ma non potè restare nascosto. |
| 25 | Car une femme, dont la fille était possédée d'un esprit immonde, ayant entendu parler de lui, vint et se jeta à ses pieds. | But straightway a woman, whose little daughter had an unclean spirit, having heard of him, came and fell down at his feet. | Infatti una donna, la cui figlia aveva uno spirito immondo, avendo sentito parlare di Gesù, venne e gli si gettò ai piedi. |
| 26 | Cette femme était Grecque, et Syrophénicienne de nation; et elle le pria de chasser le démon hors de sa fille. | Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by race. And she besought him that he would cast forth the demon out of her daughter. | Or quella donna era greca, sirofenicia di origine, e lo pregava di scacciare il demone da sua figlia; |
| 27 | Et Jésus lui dit: Laisse premièrement rassasier les enfants; car il n'est pas juste de prendre le pain des enfants, et de le jeter aux petits chiens. | And he said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children`s bread and cast it to the dogs. | ma Gesù le disse: Lascia che si sazino prima i figli, perché non è bene prendere il pane dei figli e gettarlo ai cagnolini. |
| 28 | Mais elle répondit et lui dit: Il est vrai, Seigneur; cependant les petits chiens mangent, sous la table, les miettes des enfants. | But she answered and saith unto him, Yea, Lord; even the dogs under the table eat of the children`s crumbs. | Ma ella rispose e gli disse: Dici bene, o Signore, ma anche i cagnolini sotto la tavola mangiano delle briciole dei figli. |
| 29 | Alors il lui dit: A cause de cette parole, va; le démon est sorti de ta fille. | And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the demon is gone out of thy daughter. | Allora egli le disse: Per questa tua parola, va il demone è uscito da tua figlia. |
| 30 | Et étant de retour dans sa maison, elle trouva le démon sorti, et sa fille couchée sur le lit. | And she went away unto her house, and found the child laid upon the bed, and the demon gone out. | Ed ella, tornata a casa sua, trovò la figlia coricata a letto, e il demone era uscito da lei. |
| 31 | Et Jésus étant parti des quartiers de Tyr et de Sidon, vint près de la mer de Galilée, traversant les confins de la Décapole. | And again he went out from the borders of Tyre, and came through Sidon unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the borders of Decapolis. | Poi Gesù, partito di nuovo dal territorio di Tiro e di Sidone, giunse al mare di Galilea, in mezzo al territorio della Decapoli. |
| 32 | Et on lui amena un sourd, qui avait la parole empêchée; et on le pria de lui imposer les mains. | And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to lay his hand upon him. | E gli presentarono un sordo che parlava a stento, pregandolo di imporgli le mani. |
| 33 | Et l'ayant tiré de la foule à part, il lui mit les doigts dans les oreilles; et ayant pris de sa salive, il lui toucha la langue. | And he took him aside from the multitude privately, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spat, and touched his tongue; | Ed egli, condottolo in disparte, lontano dalla folla, gli mise le dita negli orecchi e, dopo aver sputato, gli toccò la lingua. |
| 34 | Puis levant les yeux au ciel, il soupira et lui dit: Ephphatha, c'est-à-dire, Ouvre-toi. | and looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. | Poi, alzati gli occhi al cielo, sospirò e gli disse: Effata, che vuol dire: Apriti!. |
| 35 | Aussitôt ses oreilles furent ouvertes, et sa langue fut déliée, et il parlait sans peine. | And his ears were opened, and the bond of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain. | E subito gli si aprirono gli orecchi si sciolse il nodo della sua lingua e parlava distintamente. |
| 36 | Et Jésus leur défendit de le dire à qui que ce fût; mais plus il le leur défendait, plus ils le publiaient. | And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it. | E Gesù ordinò loro di non dirlo a nessuno; ma quanto più lo vietava loro, tanto più essi lo divulgavano. |
| 37 | Et frappés d'étonnement ils disaient: Tout ce qu'il fait est admirable; il fait entendre les sourds et parler les muets. | And they were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well; he maketh even the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak. | E, pieni di stupore, dicevano: Egli ha fatto bene ogni cosa: egli fa udire i sordi e parlare i muti!. |
