| 1 | Et il se mit encore à enseigner près de la mer. Et une grande foule se rassembla auprès de lui; de sorte que, montant dans une nacelle, il s'assit sur la mer; et toute la foule était à terre sur le bord de la mer. | And again he began to teach by the sea side. And there is gathered unto him a very great multitude, so that he entered into a boat, and sat in the sea; and all the multitude were by the sea on the land. | Poi prese di nuovo ad insegnare in riva al mare; e una gran folla si radunò intorno a lui, tanto che egli, salito su una barca, vi sedeva stando in mare, mentre l'intera folla era a terra lungo la riva. |
| 2 | Et il leur enseignait beaucoup de choses par des paraboles; et il leur disait dans son enseignement: | And he taught them many things in parables, and said unto them in his teaching, | Ed egli insegnava loro molte cose in parabole, e diceva loro nel suo insegnamento: |
| 3 | Écoutez: Voici, un semeur sortit pour semer. | Hearken: Behold, the sower went forth to sow: | Ascoltate! Ecco, il seminatore uscì a seminare. |
| 4 | Et il arriva qu'en semant, quelques grains tombèrent le long du chemin; et les oiseaux vinrent et les dévorèrent. | and it came to pass, as he sowed, some [seed] fell by the way side, and the birds came and devoured it. | Or avvenne che mentre seminava, una parte del seme cadde lungo la strada e gli uccelli del cielo vennero e la mangiarono. |
| 5 | Et d'autres tombèrent sur les endroits rocailleux où ils n'avaient pas beaucoup de terre; et aussitôt ils levèrent, parce qu'ils n'avaient pas une terre profonde; | And other fell on the rocky [ground], where it had not much earth; and straightway it sprang up, because it had no deepness of earth: | Un'altra cadde in luoghi rocciosi dove non c'era molta terra e subito spuntò, perché non c'era un terreno profondo. |
| 6 | et quand le soleil se leva, ils furent brûlés, et, parce qu'ils n'avaient pas de racine, ils furent séchés. | and when the sun was risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. | Ma quando si levò il sole fu riarsa; e poiché non aveva radice si seccò. |
| 7 | Et d'autres tombèrent dans les épines; et les épines montèrent et les étouffèrent, et ils ne donnèrent pas de fruit. | And other fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. | Un'altra cadde tra le spine; le spine crebbero, la soffocarono e non diede frutto. |
| 8 | Et d'autres tombèrent dans la bonne terre, et donnèrent du fruit, montant et croissant, et rapportèrent, l'un trente, et l'un soixante, et l'un cent. | And others fell into the good ground, and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing; and brought forth, thirtyfold, and sixtyfold, and a hundredfold. | Un'altra cadde in buona terra e portò frutto che crebbe, e si sviluppò tanto da rendere l'uno trenta, l'altro sessanta e l'altro cento. |
| 9 | Et il dit: Qui a des oreilles pour entendre, qu'il entende. | And he said, Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. | Poi egli disse loro: Chi ha orecchi da udire, oda!. |
| 10 | Et quand il fut en particulier, ceux qui étaient autour de lui, avec les douze, l'interrogèrent touchant la parabole. | And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parables. | Ora, quando egli fu solo, coloro che gli stavano attorno con i dodici lo interrogarono sulla parabola. |
| 11 | Et il leur dit: A vous il est donné de connaître le mystère du royaume de Dieu; mais pour ceux qui sont dehors, toutes choses se traitent par des paraboles, | And he said unto them, Unto you is given the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all things are done in parables: | Ed egli disse loro: A voi è dato di conoscere il mistero del regno di Dio; ma a coloro che sono di fuori tutte queste cose si propongono in parabole, |
| 12 | afin qu'en voyant ils voient et n'aperçoivent pas, et qu'en entendant ils entendent et ne comprennent pas: de peur qu'ils ne se convertissent et que leurs péchés ne leur soient pardonnés. | that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest haply they should turn again, and it should be forgiven them. | affinché: "Vedendo, vedano ma non intendano, udendo, odano ma non comprendano, che talora non si convertano e i peccati non siano loro perdonati". |
| 13 | Et il leur dit: Ne connaissez-vous pas cette parabole? et comment connaîtrez-vous toutes les paraboles? | And he saith unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how shall ye know all the parables? | Poi disse loro: Non comprendete questa parabola? E come comprenderete tutte le altre parabole? |
| 14 | Le semeur sème la parole. | The sower soweth the word. | Il seminatore è colui che semina la parola. |
| 15 | Et ce sont ici ceux qui sont le long du chemin, là où la parole est semée; et quand ils ont entendu, Satan vient aussitôt et ravit la parole semée en eux. | And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; and when they have heard, straightway cometh Satan, and taketh away the word which hath been sown in them. | Quelli lungo la strada sono coloro nei quali viene seminata la parola; ma dopo che l'hanno udita, subito viene Satana e porta via la parola seminata nei loro cuori. |
| 16 | Et pareillement, ceux qui sont semés sur les endroits rocailleux, ce sont ceux qui, quand ils ont entendu la parole, la reçoivent aussitôt avec joie; | And these in like manner are they that are sown upon the rocky [places], who, when they have heard the word, straightway receive it with joy; | Parimenti quelli che ricevono il seme su un suolo roccioso sono coloro che, quando hanno udita la parola, subito la ricevono con gioia; |
| 17 | et ils n'ont pas de racine en eux-mêmes, mais ne sont que pour un temps; puis, quand la tribulation ou la persécution survient à cause de la parole, ils sont aussitôt scandalisés. | and they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straightway they stumble. | ma non hanno in sé radice e sono di corta durata; e, quando sopravviene la tribolazione o la persecuzione a causa della parola, sono subito scandalizzati. |
| 18 | Et d'autres sont ceux qui sont semés dans les épines: ce sont ceux qui ont entendu la parole; | And others are they that are sown among the thorns; these are they that have heard the word, | Quelli invece che ricevono il seme fra le spine, sono coloro che odono la parola; |
| 19 | et les soucis du siècle, et la tromperie des richesses, et les convoitises à l'égard des autres choses, entrant, étouffent la parole, et elle est sans fruit. | and the cares of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. | ma le sollecitudini di questo mondo, l'inganno delle ricchezze e le cupidigie delle altre cose, che sopravvengono, soffocano la parola e questa rimane infruttuosa. |
| 20 | Et ceux qui sont semés sur la bonne terre, ce sont ceux qui entendent la parole, et la reçoivent, et portent du fruit: l'un trente, et l'un soixante, et l'un cent. | And those are they that were sown upon the good ground; such as hear the word, and accept it, and bear fruit, thirtyfold, and sixtyfold, and a hundredfold. | Ma quelli che hanno ricevuto il seme in buon terreno, sono coloro che odono la parola, la ricevono e portano frutto, chi il trenta, chi il sessanta e chi il cento. |
| 21 | Et il leur dit: La lampe vient-elle pour être mise sous le boisseau ou sous le lit? N'est-ce pas pour être mise sur le pied de lampe? | And he said unto them, Is the lamp brought to be put under the bushel, or under the bed, [and] not to be put on the stand? | Disse loro ancora: Si prende forse la lampada per metterla sotto il moggio o sotto il letto? Non la si mette piuttosto sopra il candeliere? |
| 22 | Car il n'y a rien de secret qui ne soit manifesté, et rien de caché n'arrive, si ce n'est afin de venir en évidence. | For there is nothing hid, save that it should be manifested; neither was [anything] made secret, but that it should come to light. | Poiché non c'è nulla di nascosto che non sia manifestato, né nulla di segreto che non sia palesato. |
| 23 | Si quelqu'un a des oreilles pour entendre, qu'il entende. | If any man hath ears to hear, let him hear. | Chi ha orecchi da udire, oda!. |
| 24 | Et il leur dit: Prenez garde à ce que vous entendez: de la mesure dont vous mesurerez il vous sera mesuré; et à vous qui entendez, il sera ajouté; | And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete it shall be measured unto you; and more shall be given unto you. | Disse loro ancora: Fate attenzione a ciò che udite. Con la stessa misura con cui misurate, sarà misurato a voi; e a voi che udite sarà dato di più. |
| 25 | car à quiconque a, il sera donné; et à celui qui n'a pas, cela même qu'il a sera ôté. | For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he hath. | Poiché a chi ha, sarà dato; ma a chi non ha, gli sarà tolto anche quello che ha. |
| 26 | Il dit aussi: Ainsi est le royaume de Dieu: c'est comme si un homme jetait de la semence sur la terre, | And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed upon the earth; | Disse ancora: Il regno di Dio è come un uomo che getta il seme in terra. |
| 27 | et dormait et se levait de nuit et de jour, et que la semence germât et crût sans qu'il sache comment. | and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he knoweth not how. | Ora la notte e il giorno, mentre egli dorme e si alza, il seme germoglia e cresce senza che egli sappia come. |
| 28 | La terre produit spontanément du fruit, premièrement l'herbe, ensuite l'épi, et puis le plein froment dans l'épi; | The earth beareth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. | Poiché la terra produce spontaneamente prima lo stelo, poi la spiga, poi il chicco pieno nella spiga. |
| 29 | et quand le fruit est produit, on y met aussitôt la faucille, parce que la moisson est arrivée. | But when the fruit is ripe, straightway he putteth forth the sickle, because the harvest is come. | E, quando il frutto è maturo, il mietitore mette subito mano alla falce perché è venuta la mietitura. |
| 30 | Il disait aussi: Comment comparerons-nous le royaume de Dieu, ou par quelle parabole le représenterons-nous? | And he said, How shall we liken the kingdom of God? or in what parable shall we set it forth? | Disse ancora: A che cosa paragoneremo il regno di Dio? O con quale parabola lo rappresenteremo? |
| 31 | Il est semblable à un grain de moutarde, qui, lorsqu'il est semé sur la terre, est la plus petite de toutes les semences qui sont sur la terre; | It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown upon the earth, though it be less than all the seeds that are upon the earth, | Esso è simile a un granello di senape che, quando è seminato in terra, è il più piccolo di tutti i semi che sono sulla terra; |
| 32 | et après qu'il est semé, il monte et devient plus grand que toutes les herbes, et jette de grandes branches, de sorte que les oiseaux du ciel peuvent demeurer sous son ombre. | yet when it is sown, groweth up, and becometh greater than all the herbs, and putteth out great branches; so that the birds of the heaven can lodge under the shadow thereof. | ma, dopo che è stato seminato, cresce e diventa il più grande di tutte le erbe, e mette rami così grandi che gli uccelli del cielo possono ripararsi sotto la sua ombra. |
| 33 | Et par plusieurs paraboles de cette sorte, il leur annonçait la parole, selon qu'ils pouvaient l'entendre; | And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it; | E con molte parabole di questo genere annunciava loro la parola, come essi erano in grado di capire. |
| 34 | mais il ne leur parlait pas sans parabole; et en particulier il interprétait tout à ses disciples. | and without a parable spake he not unto them: but privately to his own disciples he expounded all things. | E non parlava loro senza parabole; ma in privato ai suoi discepoli spiegava ogni cosa. |
| 35 | Et en ce jour-là, le soir étant venu, il leur dit: Passons à l'autre rive. | And on that day, when even was come, he saith unto them, Let us go over unto the other side. | Or in quello stesso giorno, fattosi sera, disse loro: Passiamo all'altra riva. |
| 36 | ayant renvoyé la foule, ils le prennent dans une nacelle, comme il était; et d'autres nacelles aussi étaient avec lui. | And leaving the multitude, they take him with them, even as he was, in the boat. And other boats were with him. | E i discepoli, licenziata la folla, lo presero con loro, così come egli era, nella barca. Con lui c'erano altre barchette. |
| 37 | Et il se lève un grand tourbillon de vent, et les vagues se jetaient dans la nacelle, de sorte qu'elle s'emplissait déjà. | And there ariseth a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the boat, insomuch that the boat was now filling. | Si scatenò una gran bufera di vento e le onde si abbattevano sulla barca, tanto che questa si riempiva. |
| 38 | Et il était, lui, à la poupe, dormant sur un oreiller; et ils le réveillent et lui disent: Maître, ne te mets-tu pas en peine que nous périssions? | And he himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion: and they awake him, and say unto him, Teacher, carest thou not that we perish? | Egli intanto stava dormendo a poppa, su un guanciale. Essi lo destarono e gli dissero: Maestro, non t'importa che noi periamo?. |
| 39 | Et s'étant réveillé, il reprit le vent, et dit à la mer: Fais silence, tais-toi! Et le vent tomba, et il se fit un grand calme. | And he awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. | Ed egli, destatosi, sgridò il vento e disse al mare: Taci e calmati!. E il vento cessò e si fece gran bonaccia. |
| 40 | Et il leur dit: Pourquoi êtes-vous ainsi craintifs? Comment n'avez-vous pas de foi? | And he said unto them, Why are ye fearful? have ye not yet faith? | Poi disse loro: Perché siete voi così paurosi? Come mai non avete fede?. |
| 41 | Et ils furent saisis d'une grande peur, et ils dirent entre eux: Qui donc est celui-ci, que le vent même et la mer lui obéissent? | And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? | Ed essi furono presi da gran timore e dicevano tra loro: Chi è dunque costui al quale anche il vento e il mare ubbidiscono?. |
