| 12 | Et ils cherchaient à se saisir de lui; et ils craignirent la foule, car ils connurent qu'il avait dit cette parabole contre eux; et le laissant, ils s'en allèrent. | And they sought to lay hold on him; and they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spake the parable against them: and they left him, and went away. | Allora essi cercavano di prenderlo, perché avevano capito che egli aveva detto quella parabola contro di loro; ma ebbero paura della folla; e, lasciatolo, se ne andarono. |

| 14 | Et étant venus, ils lui disent: Maître, nous savons que tu es vrai, et que tu ne t'embarrasses de personne; car tu ne regardes pas à l'apparence des hommes, mais tu enseignes la voie de Dieu avec vérité. Est-il permis de payer le tribut à César, ou non? Payerons-nous, ou ne payerons-nous pas? | And when they were come, they say unto him, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and carest not for any one; for thou regardest not the person of men, but of a truth teachest the way of God: Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? | Ed essi, giunti, gli dissero: Maestro, noi sappiamo che tu sei verace e non hai riguardi per nessuno, perché non badi all'apparenza delle persone, ma insegni la via di Dio secondo verità. è lecito o no pagare il tributo a Cesare? Dobbiamo pagarlo o no?. |
| 15 | Et lui, connaissant leur hypocrisie, leur dit: Pourquoi me tentez-vous? Apportez-moi un denier, que je le voie. Et ils le lui apportèrent. | Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why make ye trial of me? bring me a denarius, that I may see it. | Ma egli, conoscendo la loro ipocrisia, disse loro: Perché mi tentate? Portatemi un denaro perché lo veda. |
| 16 | Et il leur dit: De qui est cette image et cette inscription? Et ils lui dirent: De César. | And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? Et ils étaient dans l'étonnement à son sujet. | And Jesus said unto them, Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar`s, and unto God the things that are God`s. Moïse nous a écrit que si le frère de quelqu'un meurt et laisse une femme, et ne laisse pas d'enfants, son frère prenne sa femme et suscite de la postérité à son frère. | Teacher, Moses wrote unto us, If a man`s brother die, and leave a wife behind him, and leave no child, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. | Maestro, Mosè ci lasciò scritto che se muore il fratello di uno e lascia la moglie senza figli, il fratello di lui deve sposare la vedova per suscitare una discendenza a suo fratello. |

| 22 | et les sept la prirent et ne laissèrent pas de postérité. La dernière de tous, la femme aussi mourut. | and the seven left no seed. Last of all the woman also died. | Tutti e sette l'ebbero per moglie, e morirono senza lasciare figli. Infine, dopo tutti, morì anche la donna. |
| 23 | Dans la résurrection, quand ils ressusciteront, duquel d'entre eux sera-t-elle la femme? Car les sept l'ont eue pour femme. | In the resurrection whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife. | Nella risurrezione dunque, quando risusciteranno, di chi di loro sarà ella moglie? Poiché tutti e sette l'hanno avuta per moglie. |
| 24 | Et Jésus, répondant, leur dit: N'est-ce pas à cause de ceci que vous errez, c'est que vous ne connaissez pas les écritures, ni la puissance de Dieu? | Jesus said unto them, Is it not for this cause that ye err, that ye know not the scriptures, nor the power of God? | Ma Gesù, rispondendo, disse loro: Non è proprio per questo che siete in errore, perché non conoscete né le Scritture né la potenza di Dio? |
| 25 | Car quand on ressuscite d'entre les morts, on ne se marie, ni on n'est donné en mariage, mais on est comme des anges dans les cieux. | For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as angels in heaven. | Infatti, quando gli uomini risusciteranno dai morti, né si ammoglieranno né si mariteranno, ma saranno come gli angeli in cielo. |
| 26 | Et quant aux morts et à ce qu'ils ressuscitent, n'avez-vous pas lu dans le livre de Moïse, au titre: "Du buisson", comment Dieu lui parla, disant: "Moi, je suis le Dieu d'Abraham, et le Dieu d'Isaac, et le Dieu de Jacob"? | But as touching the dead, that they are raised; have ye not read in the book of Moses, in [the place concerning] the Bush, how God spake unto him, saying, I [am] the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? | Riguardo poi alla risurrezione dei morti, non avete letto nel libro di Mosè come Dio gli parlò dal roveto, dicendo io sono il Dio di Abrahamo, il Dio di Isacco e il Dio di Giacobbe |

| 28 | Et l'un des scribes, qui les avait ouïs disputer, voyant qu'il leur avait bien répondu, s'approcha et lui demanda: Quel est le premier de tous les commandements? | And one of the scribes came, and heard them questioning together, and knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, What commandment is the first of all? | Allora uno degli scribi che aveva udita la loro discussione, riconoscendo che egli aveva loro risposto bene, si accostò e gli domandò: Qual è il primo comandamento di tutti?. |

C'est là le premier commandement. | and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. | e: "ama il Signore Dio tuo con tutto il tuo cuore, con tutta la tua anima, con tutta la tua mente e con tutta la tua forza". Questo è il primo comandamento. |
| 31 | Et le second lui est semblable: "Tu aimeras ton prochain comme toi-même". Il n'y a point d'autre commandement plus grand que ceux-ci. | The second is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. | E il secondo è simile a questo: "ama il tuo prossimo come te stesso". Non vi è alcun altro comandamento maggiore di questi. |
| 32 | Et le scribe lui dit: Bien, maître, tu as dit selon la vérité, car il y en a un, et il n'y en a point d'autre que lui; | And the scribe said unto him, Of a truth, Teacher, thou hast well said that he is one; and there is none other but he: | Allora lo scriba gli disse: Bene, Maestro. | 33 | et que de l'aimer de tout son coeur, et de toute son intelligence, et de toute son âme, et de toute sa force, et d'aimer son prochain comme soi-même, c'est plus que tous les holocaustes et les sacrifices. | and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is much more than all whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices. | e che amarlo con tutto il cuore, con tutta la mente, con tutta l'anima e con tutta la forza, e amare il prossimo come se stessi vale più di tutti gli olocausti e i sacrifici, |
| 34 | Et Jésus, voyant qu'il avait répondu avec intelligence lui dit: Tu n'es pas loin du royaume de Dieu. Et personne n'osait plus l'interroger. | And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question. | E Gesù, vedendo che aveva risposto saggiamente, gli disse: Tu non sei lontano dal regno di Dio. E nessuno ardiva più interrogarlo. |
| 35 | Et comme il enseignait dans le temple, Jésus répondit et dit: Comment disent les scribes que le Christ est fils de David? | And Jesus answered and said, as he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that the Christ is the son of David? | E Gesù, insegnando nel tempio, prese a dire: Come mai gli scribi dicono che il Cristo è Figlio di Davide? |
| 36 | Car David lui-même a dit par l'Esprit Saint: "Le Seigneur a dit à mon seigneur: Assieds-toi à ma droite, jusqu'à ce que je mette tes ennemis pour marchepied de tes pieds". | David himself said in the Holy Spirit, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet. | Poiché Davide stesso, per lo Spirito Santo, disse: "il Signore ha detto al mio Signore: Siedi alla mia destra, finché io abbia fatto dei tuoi nemici lo sgabello dei tuoi piedi". |
| 37 | David lui-même donc l'appelle seigneur; et comment est-il son fils? Et la grande foule prenait plaisir à l'entendre. | David himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he his son? And the common people heard him gladly. | Davide stesso dunque lo chiama Signore; come può dunque egli essere suo figlio?. E la maggior parte della folla lo ascoltava con piacere. |
| 38 | Et il leur disait dans son enseignement: Gardez-vous des scribes, qui se plaisent à se promener en longues robes et qui aiment les salutations dans les places publiques, | And in his teaching he said, Beware of the scribes, who desire to walk in long robes, and [to have] salutations in the marketplaces, | Ed egli diceva loro nel suo insegnamento: Guardatevi dagli scribi che amano passeggiare in lunghe vesti ed essere salutati nelle piazze, |
| 39 | et les premiers sièges dans les synagogues, et les premières places dans les repas; | and chief seats in the synagogues, and chief places at feasts: | e avere i primi seggi nelle sinagoghe, e i primi posti nei conviti, |
| 40 | qui dévorent les maisons des veuves, et pour prétexte font de longues prières; - ceux-ci recevront une sentence plus sévère. | they that devour widows` houses, and for a pretence make long prayers; these shall receive greater condemnation. | che divorano le case delle vedove e per mettersi in mostra, fanno lunghe preghiere; essi riceveranno una più dura condanna. |
| 41 | Et Jésus, étant assis vis-à-vis du trésor du temple, regardait comment la foule jetait de la monnaie au trésor; et plusieurs riches y jetaient beaucoup. | And he sat down over against the treasury, and beheld how the multitude cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. | E Gesù, postosi a sedere di fronte alla cassa del tesoro, osservava come la gente vi gettava il denaro; e tanti ricchi ne gettavano molto. |
| 42 | Et une pauvre veuve vint, et y jeta deux pites, qui font un quadrant. | And there came a poor widow, and she cast in two mites, which make a farthing. | Venuta una povera vedova, vi gettò due spiccioli, cioè un quadrante. |
| 43 | Et ayant appelé ses disciples, il leur dit: En vérité, je vous dis que cette pauvre veuve a plus jeté au trésor que tous ceux qui y ont mis; | And he called unto him his disciples, and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than all they that are casting into the treasury: | E Gesù, chiamati a sé i suoi discepoli, disse loro: In verità vi dico che questa povera vedova ha gettato nel tesoro più di tutti gli altri. |
| 44 | car tous y ont mis de leur superflu, mais celle-ci y a mis de son indigence, tout ce qu'elle avait, toute sa subsistance. | for they all did cast in of their superfluity; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, [even] all her living. | Poiché tutti vi hanno gettato del loro superfluo, mentre ella, nella sua povertà, vi ha gettato tutto quello che aveva per vivere. |
