| 10 | Et il dit: A vous il est donné de connaître les mystères du royaume de Dieu; mais il en est parlé aux autres en paraboles, afin que voyant, ils ne voient pas, et qu'entendant, ils ne comprennent pas. | And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand. | Ed egli disse: A voi è dato di conoscere i misteri del regno di Dio; ma agli altri essi sono proposti in parabole, affinché vedendo non vedano e udendo non intendano. |

| 12 | et ceux qui sont le long du chemin, sont ceux qui entendent la parole; ensuite vient le diable, et il ôte de leur coeur la parole, de peur qu'en croyant, ils ne soient sauvés. | And those by the way side are they that have heard; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved. | Quelli lungo la strada sono coloro che odono la parola, ma poi viene il diavolo e porta via la parola dal loro cuore, affinché non credano e non siano salvati. |
| 13 | Et ceux qui sont sur le roc, sont ceux qui, lorsqu'ils entendent la parole, la reçoivent avec joie; et ceux-ci n'ont pas de racine: ils ne croient que pour un temps, et au temps de la tentation ils se retirent. | And those on the rock [are] they who, when they have heard, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. | Quelli sulla roccia sono coloro che, quando ascoltano, ricevono la parola con gioia; costoro però non hanno radice, credono per un certo tempo, ma al momento della prova, si tirano indietro. |
| 14 | Et ce qui est tombé dans les épines, ce sont ceux qui, ayant entendu la parole et s'en étant allés, sont étouffés par les soucis et par les richesses et par les voluptés de la vie, et ils ne portent pas de fruit à maturité. | And that which fell among the thorns, these are they that have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of [this] life, and bring no fruit to perfection. | E la parte che è caduta fra le spine sono coloro che hanno udito la parola; ma, strada facendo, sono soffocati dalle sollecitudini, dalle ricchezze e dai piaceri di questa vita, e non giungono a maturità. |
| 15 | Mais ce qui est dans la bonne terre, ce sont ceux qui, ayant entendu la parole, la retiennent dans un coeur honnête et bon, et portent du fruit avec patience. | And that in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it fast, and bring forth fruit with patience. | Ma la parte che è caduta in buona terra sono coloro che, dopo aver udita la parola, la ritengono in un cuore onesto e buono e portano frutto con perseveranza. |
| 16 | Or personne, après avoir allumé une lampe, ne la couvre d'un vase, ni ne la met sous un lit; mais il la place sur un pied de lampe, afin que ceux qui entrent voient la lumière. | And no man, when he hath lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but putteth it on a stand, that they that enter in may see the light. | E nessuno, accesa una lampada, la copre con un vaso o la mette sotto il letto, ma la mette sul candeliere, affinché coloro che entrano vedano la luce. |
| 17 | Car il n'y a rien de secret qui ne deviendra manifeste, ni rien de caché qui ne se connaîtra et ne vienne en évidence. | For nothing is hid, that shall not be made manifest; nor [anything] secret, that shall not be known and come to light. | Poiché non vi è nulla di nascosto che non sarà manifestato, né di segreto che non debba essere conosciuto e portato alla luce. |
| 18 | Prenez donc garde comment vous entendez; car à quiconque a, il sera donné, et à quiconque n'a pas, cela même qu'il paraît avoir sera ôté. | Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he thinketh he hath. | Fate dunque attenzione a come ascoltate, perché a chi ha sarà dato, ma a chi non ha sarà tolto anche quello che pensa di avere. |

| 21 | Mais lui, répondant, leur dit: Ma mère et mes frères sont ceux qui écoutent la parole de Dieu et qui la mettent en pratique. | But he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these that hear the word of God, and do it. | Ma egli, rispondendo, disse loro: Mia madre e i miei fratelli sono quelli che odono la parola di Dio e la mettono in pratica. |
| 22 | Et il arriva, l'un de ces jours, qu'il monta dans une nacelle, et ses disciples avec lui. Et il leur dit: Passons à l'autre rive du lac. | Now it came to pass on one of those days, that he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples; and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake: and they launched forth. | Ora uno di quei giorni avvenne che egli salì su una barca con i suoi discepoli e disse loro: Passiamo all'altra riva del lago. Ed essi presero il largo. |
| 23 | Et ils prirent le large. Et comme ils voguaient, il s'endormit; et un vent impétueux fondit sur le lac, et la nacelle s'emplissait, et ils étaient en péril. | But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filling [with water], and were in jeopardy. | Mentre navigavano, egli si addormentò; e un turbine di vento si abbattè sul lago, tanto che la barca si riempiva, ed erano in pericolo. |
| 24 | Et ils vinrent et le réveillèrent, disant: Maître, maître, nous périssons! Et lui, s'étant levé, reprit le vent et les flots; et ils s'apaisèrent, et il se fit un calme. | And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. And he awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. | Allora essi, accostatisi, lo svegliarono, dicendo: Maestro, maestro, noi periamo!. Ed egli, destatosi, sgridò il vento e la furia dell'acqua; e questi si acquetarono e si fece bonaccia. |
| 25 | Et il leur dit: Où est votre foi? Mais eux, saisis de crainte, étaient dans l'étonnement, disant entre eux: Qui donc est celui-ci, qui commande même aux vents et à l'eau, et ils lui obéissent? | And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And being afraid they marvelled, saying one to another, Who then is this, that he commandeth even the winds and the water, and they obey him? | E Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: Dov'è la vostra fede?. Ed essi, impauriti, si meravigliavano e si dicevano l'un l'altro: Chi è mai costui, che comanda anche al vento e all'acqua, e gli ubbidiscono?. |
| 26 | Et ils abordèrent dans le pays des Gadaréniens, qui est vis-à-vis de la Galilée. | And they arrived at the country of the Gerasenes, which is over against Galilee. | Poi navigarono verso la regione dei Gadareni che sta di fronte alla Galilea; |
| 27 | Et quand il fut descendu à terre, un homme de la ville vint à sa rencontre, qui depuis longtemps avait des démons, et ne portait pas de vêtements, et ne demeurait pas dans une maison, mais dans les sépulcres. | And when he was come forth upon the land, there met him a certain man out of the city, who had demons; and for a long time he had worn no clothes, and abode not in [any] house, but in the tombs. | e, quando scese a terra, gli venne incontro un uomo di quella città, il quale già da lungo tempo era posseduto da demoni, e non indossava vesti, e non abitava in alcuna casa, ma tra i sepolcri. |
| 28 | Et ayant aperçu Jésus, et s'étant écrié, il se jeta devant lui, et dit à haute voix: Qu'y a-t-il entre moi et toi, Jésus, Fils du Dieu Très-haut? Je te supplie, ne me tourmente pas. | And when he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the Most High God? I beseech thee, torment me not. | Quando vide Gesù, lanciò un grido, gli si gettò ai piedi e disse a gran voce: Che vi è fra me e te, o Gesù, Figlio del Dio Altissimo? Ti prego, non tormentarmi!. |
| 29 | Car Jésus avait commandé à l'esprit immonde de sortir de l'homme; car depuis longtemps il s'était saisi de lui, et l'homme avait été lié et gardé dans les chaînes et avec les fers aux pieds; et brisant ses liens, il était emporté par le démon dans les déserts. | For he was commanding the unclean spirit to come out from the man. For oftentimes it had seized him: and he was kept under guard, and bound with chains and fetters; and breaking the bands asunder, he was driven of the demon into the deserts. | Gesù comandava infatti allo spirito immondo di uscire da quell'uomo, perché molte volte se ne era impossessato e, benché fosse stato legato con catene e con ceppi e fosse sorvegliato, egli spezzava i legami ed era spinto dal demone nei deserti. |
| 30 | Et Jésus lui demanda, disant: Quel est ton nom? Et il dit: Légion; car beaucoup de démons étaient entrés en lui. | And Jesus asked him, What is thy name? And he said, Legion; for many demons were entered into him. | E Gesù lo interrogò, dicendo: Qual è il tuo nome?. Ed egli disse: Legione. Perché molti demoni erano entrati in lui. |
| 31 | Et ils le priaient pour qu'il ne leur commandât pas de s'en aller dans l'abîme. | And they entreated him that he would not command them to depart into the abyss. | Ed essi lo pregavano che non comandasse loro di andare nell'abisso. |
| 32 | Et il y avait là un grand troupeau de pourceaux paissant sur la montagne, et ils le priaient de leur permettre d'entrer en eux; et il le leur permit. | Now there was there a herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they entreated him that he would give them leave to enter into them. And he gave them leave. | Or c'era là un numeroso branco di porci che pascolavano sul monte, e quei demoni lo pregarono che permettesse loro di entrare in quelli. Ed egli lo permise loro. |
| 33 | Et les démons, sortant de l'homme, entrèrent dans les pourceaux, et le troupeau se rua du haut de la côte dans le lac, et fut étouffé. | And the demons came out from the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, and were drowned. | I demoni allora, usciti da quell'uomo, entrarono nei porci, e quel branco si precipitò dal dirupo nel lago ed annegò. |
| 34 | Et ceux qui le paissaient, voyant ce qui était arrivé, s'enfuirent, et le racontèrent dans la ville et dans les campagnes. | And when they that fed them saw what had come to pass, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country. | E quando videro ciò che era accaduto, quelli che li custodivano fuggirono e andarono a portare la notizia in città e per le campagne. |
| 35 | Et ils sortirent pour voir ce qui était arrivé, et vinrent vers Jésus, et trouvèrent assis, vêtu et dans son bon sens, aux pieds de Jésus, l'homme duquel les démons étaient sortis; et ils eurent peur. | And they went out to see what had come to pass; and they came to Jesus, and found the man, from whom the demons were gone out, sitting, clothed and in his right mind, at the feet of Jesus: and they were afraid. | La gente allora uscì per vedere ciò che era accaduto e venne da Gesù, e trovò l'uomo dal quale erano usciti i demoni seduto ai piedi di Gesù, vestito e sano di mente, ed ebbe paura. |
| 36 | Et ceux qui avaient vu ce qui s'était passé, leur racontèrent aussi comment le démoniaque avait été délivré. | And they that saw it told them how he that was possessed with demons was made whole. | Or quelli che avevano visto l'accaduto, raccontarono loro come l'indemoniato era stato liberato. |
| 37 | Et toute la multitude du pays environnant des Gadaréniens, pria Jésus de s'en aller de chez eux, car ils étaient saisis d'une grande frayeur: et lui, étant monté dans la nacelle, s'en retourna. | And all the people of the country of the Gerasenes round about asked him to depart from them, for they were holden with great fear: and he entered into a boat, and returned. | Allora tutta la popolazione della regione dei Gadareni, chiese a Gesù di allontanarsi da loro, perché erano in preda a un grande spavento. E Gesù, salito sulla barca, tornò indietro. |
| 38 | Et l'homme duquel les démons étaient sortis, le supplia de lui permettre d'être avec lui; | But the man from whom the demons were gone out prayed him that he might be with him: but he sent him away, saying, | Intanto l'uomo, da cui erano usciti i demoni, lo pregava di poter restare con lui; ma Gesù lo congedò, dicendo: |
| 39 | mais il le renvoya, disant: Retourne dans ta maison et raconte tout ce que Dieu t'a fait. Et il s'en alla, publiant par toute la ville tout ce que Jésus lui avait fait. | Return to thy house, and declare how great things God hath done for thee. And he went his way, publishing throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done for him. | Ritorna a casa tua e racconta quali grandi cose Dio ha fatto per te. Ed egli se ne andò per tutta la città proclamando le grandi cose che Gesù aveva fatto per lui. |
| 40 | Et quand Jésus fut de retour, il arriva que la foule l'accueillit, car tous l'attendaient. | And as Jesus returned, the multitude welcomed him; for they were all waiting for him. | Or avvenne che, quando Gesù fu ritornato, la folla lo accolse perché tutti lo aspettavano. |
| 41 | Et voici, un homme dont le nom était Jaïrus, - et il était chef de la synagogue, - vint, et se jetant aux pieds de Jésus, le supplia de venir dans sa maison, | And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus` feet, and besought him to come into his house; | Ed ecco venire un uomo di nome Iairo, che era capo della sinagoga; gettatosi ai piedi di Gesù, lo pregava di andare a casa sua, |
| 42 | car il avait une fille unique, d'environ douze ans, et elle se mourait. Et comme il s'en allait, les foules le serraient. | for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went the multitudes thronged him. | perché egli aveva una figlia unica di circa dodici anni, che stava per morire. Or mentre vi andava, la folla gli si accalcava attorno. |
| 43 | Et une femme qui avait une perte de sang depuis douze ans, et qui, ayant dépensé tout son bien en médecins, n'avait pu être guérie par aucun, | And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, who had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed of any, | E una donna, che aveva un flusso di sangue da dodici anni ed aveva speso con i medici tutti i suoi beni senza poter essere guarita da alcuno |
| 44 | s'approcha par derrière et toucha le bord de son vêtement; et à l'instant sa perte de sang s'arrêta. | came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately the issue of her blood stanched. | Si avvicinò di dietro e toccò il lembo del suo vestito, e in quell'istante il suo flusso di sangue si arrestò. |
| 45 | Et Jésus dit: Qui est-ce qui m'a touché? Et comme tous niaient, Pierre dit, et ceux qui étaient avec lui: Maître, les foules te serrent et te pressent, et tu dis: Qui est-ce qui m'a touché? | And Jesus said, Who is it that touched me? And when all denied, Peter said, and they that were with him, Master, the multitudes press thee and crush [thee]. | E Gesù disse: Chi mi ha toccato?. Siccome tutti lo negavano, Pietro e coloro che erano con lui dissero: Maestro, le folle ti stringono e ti premono e tu dici: Chi mi ha toccato?. |
| 46 | Et Jésus dit: Quelqu'un m'a touché, car je sais qu'il est sorti de moi de la puissance. | But Jesus said, Some one did touch me; for I perceived that power had gone forth from me. | Ma Gesù disse: Qualcuno mi ha toccato, perché ho sentito che una potenza è uscita da me. |
| 47 | Et la femme, voyant qu'elle n'était pas cachée, vint en tremblant, et, se jetant devant lui, déclara devant tout le peuple pour quelle raison elle l'avait touché, et comment elle avait été guérie instantanément. | And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people for what cause she touched him, and how she was healed immediately. | Allora la donna, vedendo che non era rimasta inosservata, venne tutta tremante e, gettandosi ai suoi piedi, gli dichiarò in presenza di tutto il popolo per quale motivo lo aveva toccato e come era stata guarita all'istante. |
| 48 | Et il lui dit: Aie bon courage, ma fille; ta foi t'a guérie; va-t'en en paix. | And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace. | Ed egli le disse: Fatti animo, figliola; la tua fede ti ha guarita; va' in pace!. |
| 49 | -Comme il parlait encore, il vient quelqu'un de chez le chef de synagogue, lui disant: Ta fille est morte, ne tourmente pas le maître. | While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue`s [house], saying, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Teacher. | Mentre egli parlava ancora, venne uno dalla casa del capo della sinagoga, e gli disse: La tua figlia è morta, non disturbare il maestro. |
| 50 | Et Jésus, l'ayant entendu, lui répondit, disant: Ne crains pas, crois seulement, et elle sera sauvée. | But Jesus hearing it, answered him, Fear not: only believe, and she shall be made whole. | Ma Gesù, udito ciò, gli disse: Non temere; credi solamente ed ella sarà quanta. |
| 51 | Et quand il fut arrivé à la maison, il ne permit à personne d'entrer, sinon à Pierre et à Jean et à Jacques, et au père de la jeune fille et à la mère. | And when he came to the house, he suffered not any man to enter in with him, save Peter, and John, and James, and the father of the maiden and her mother. | Giunto alla casa, non permise ad alcuno di entrare, eccetto Pietro, Giovanni e Giacomo, e il padre e la madre della fanciulla. |
| 52 | Et tous pleuraient et se lamentaient sur elle; et il leur dit: Ne pleurez pas, car elle n'est pas morte, mais elle dort. | And all were weeping, and bewailing her: but he said, Weep not; for she is not dead, but sleepeth. | Or tutti piangevano e facevano cordoglio per lei. Ma egli disse: Non piangete; ella non è morta, ma dorme. |
| 53 | Et ils se riaient de lui, sachant qu'elle était morte. | And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. | Ed essi lo deridevano, sapendo che era morta. |
| 54 | Mais lui, les ayant tous mis dehors, et l'ayant prise par la main, cria, disant: Jeune fille, lève-toi. | But he, taking her by the hand, called, saying, Maiden, arise. | Ma egli, dopo aver messo tutti fuori, le prese la mano ed esclamò dicendo: Fanciulla, alzati!. |
| 55 | Et son esprit retourna en elle, et elle se leva immédiatement; et il commanda qu'on lui donnât à manger. | And her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately: and he commanded that [something] be given her to eat. | E il suo spirito ritornò in lei e subito ella si alzò; Gesù poi comandò che le si desse da mangiare. |
| 56 | Et ses parents étaient hors d'eux; et il leur enjoignit de ne dire à personne ce qui était arrivé. | And her parents were amazed: but he charged them to tell no man what had been done. | E i suoi genitori rimasero stupefatti. Ma Gesù raccomandò loro di non dire a nessuno quanto era accaduto. |
