| 8 | Produisez donc des fruits qui conviennent à la repentance; et ne vous mettez pas à dire en vous-mêmes: Nous avons Abraham pour père; car je vous dis que Dieu peut, de ces pierres, susciter des enfants à Abraham. | Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. | Fate dunque frutti degni del ravvedimento e non cominciate a dire dentro di voi: "Noi abbiamo Abrahamo per padre", perché io vi dico che Dio può suscitare dei figli ad Abrahamo anche da queste pietre. |

| 11 | Et répondant, il leur dit: Que celui qui a deux tuniques en donne à celui qui n'en a point, et que celui qui a des vivres fasse de même. | And he answered and said unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath food, let him do likewise. | Allora egli, rispondendo, disse loro: Chi ha due tuniche ne faccia parte a chi non ne ha, e chi ha da mangiare faccia altrettanto. |

| 13 | Et il leur dit: Ne percevez rien au delà de ce qui vous est ordonné. | And he said unto them, Extort no more than that which is appointed you. | Ed egli disse loro: Non riscuotete nulla di più di quanto vi è stato ordinato. |
| 14 | Et des gens de guerre l'interrogèrent aussi, disant: Et nous, que faut-il que nous fassions? Et il leur dit: Ne commettez pas d'extorsions, ni n'accusez faussement personne, et contentez-vous de vos gages. - | And soldiers also asked him, saying, And we, what must we do? And he said unto them, Extort from no man by violence, neither accuse [any one] wrongfully; and be content with your wages. | Anche i soldati lo interrogarono dicendo: E noi, che dobbiamo fare?. Ed egli disse loro: Non fate estorsioni ad alcuno, non accusate falsamente alcuno e contentatevi della vostra paga. |
