Ils lui répondirent: Ce qui est arrivé à Jésus de Nazareth, qui était un prophète, puissant en ouvres et en paroles, devant Dieu et devant tout le peuple; | And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: | Ed egli disse loro: Quali?. Essi gli dissero: Le cose di Gesù Nazareno, che era un profeta potente in opere e parole davanti a Dio e davanti a tutto il popolo. |

| 21 | Pour nous, nous espérions que ce serait lui qui délivrerait Israël, et cependant, voici déjà le troisième jour que ces choses sont arrivées. | But we hoped that it was he who should redeem Israel. Yea and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things came to pass. | Or noi speravamo che fosse lui che avrebbe liberato Israele; invece, con tutto questo, siamo già al terzo giorno da quando sono avvenute queste cose. |

| 23 | Et n'y ayant pas trouvé son corps, elles sont venues en disant que des anges leur ont apparu et leur ont dit qu'il est vivant. | and when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive. | e non avendo trovato il suo corpo, sono tornate dicendo di aver avuto una visione di angeli, i quali dicono che egli vive. |

| 26 | Ne fallait-il pas que le Christ souffrît ces choses, et qu'il entrât dans sa gloire? | Behooved it not the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory? | Non doveva il Cristo soffrire tali cose, e così entrare nella sua gloria?. |
| 27 | Puis, commençant par Moïse et par tous les prophètes, il leur expliquait, dans toutes les Écritures, ce qui le regardait. | And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. | E cominciando da Mosè e da tutti i profeti, spiegò loro in tutte le Scritture le cose che lo riguardavano. |
| 28 | Ainsi ils approchèrent du bourg où ils allaient, mais Jésus faisait comme s'il voulait aller plus loin. | And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they were going: and he made as though he would go further. | Come si avvicinavano al villaggio dove erano diretti, egli finse di andare oltre. |
| 29 | Et ils le contraignirent à s'arrêter, en lui disant: Demeure avec nous; car le soir commence à venir, et le jour est sur son déclin. Il entra donc pour demeurer avec eux. | And they constrained him, saying, Abide with us; for it is toward evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in to abide with them. | Ma essi lo trattennero, dicendo: Rimani con noi, perché si fa sera e il giorno è già declinato. Egli dunque entrò per rimanere con loro. |
| 30 | Et comme il était à table avec eux, il prit du pain et rendit grâces; puis l'ayant rompu, il le leur donna. | And it came to pass, when he had sat down with them to meat, he took the bread and blessed; and breaking [it] he gave to them. | E, come si trovava a tavola con loro prese il pane, lo benedisse e, dopo averlo spezzato, lo distribuì loro. |
| 31 | Alors leurs yeux s'ouvrirent, et ils le reconnurent; mais il disparut de devant eux. | And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. | Allora si aprirono loro gli occhi e lo riconobbero; ma egli scomparve dai loro occhi. |
| 32 | Et ils se dirent l'un à l'autre: Notre coeur ne brûlait-il pas au-dedans de nous, lorsqu'il nous parlait en chemin, et qu'il nous expliquait les Écritures? | And they said one to another, Was not our heart burning within us, while he spake to us in the way, while he opened to us the scriptures? | Ed essi si dissero l'un l'altro: Non ardeva il nostro cuore dentro di noi, mentre egli ci parlava per la via e ci apriva le Scritture?. |
| 33 | Et se levant à l'heure même, ils retournèrent à Jérusalem; et ils trouvèrent les onze, et ceux qui étaient avec eux, assemblés, | And they rose up that very hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, | In quello stesso momento si alzarono e ritornarono a Gerusalemme, dove trovarono gli undici e quelli che erano con loro riuniti insieme. |
| 34 | Qui disaient: Le Seigneur est vraiment ressuscité, et il est apparu à Simon. | saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon. | Costoro dicevano: Il Signore è veramente risorto ed è apparso a Simone. |
| 35 | A leur tour, ils racontèrent ce qui leur était arrivé en chemin, et comment ils l'avaient reconnu lorsqu'il avait rompu le pain. | And they rehearsed the things [that happened] in the way, and how he was known of them in the breaking of the bread. | Essi allora raccontarono le cose avvenute loro per via, e come lo avevano riconosciuto allo spezzar del pane. |
| 36 | Comme ils tenaient ces discours, Jésus lui-même se présenta au milieu d'eux, et leur dit: La paix soit avec vous. | And as they spake these things, he himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you. | Ora, mentre essi parlavano di queste cose, Gesù stesso si rese presente in mezzo a loro e disse loro: Pace a voi!. |
| 37 | Mais eux, frappés de stupeur et d'épouvante, croyaient voir un esprit. | But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they beheld a spirit. | Ma essi, terrorizzati e pieni di paura, pensavano di vedere uno spirito. |
| 38 | Et il leur dit: Pourquoi êtes-vous troublés, et pourquoi s'élève-t-il des pensées contraires dans vos coeurs? | And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore do questionings arise in your heart? | Allora egli disse loro: Perché siete turbati? E perché nei vostri cuori sorgono dei dubbi? |
| 39 | Voyez mes mains et mes pieds, car c'est moi-même. Touchez-moi et regardez-moi; car un esprit n'a ni chair ni os, comme vous voyez que j'ai. | See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye behold me having. | Guardate le mie mani e i miei piedi, perché sono io. Toccatemi e guardate, perché uno spirito non ha carne e ossa, come vedete che ho io. |
| 40 | En disant cela, il leur montra ses mains et ses pieds. | And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. | E, detto questo, mostrò loro le mani e i piedi. |
| 41 | Mais comme, dans leur joie, ils ne le croyaient point encore, et qu'ils étaient étonnés, il leur dit: Avez-vous ici quelque chose à manger? | And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here anything to eat? | Ma poiché essi non credevano ancora per la gioia ed erano pieni di meraviglia, egli disse loro: Avete qui qualcosa da mangiare?. |
| 42 | Et ils lui présentèrent un morceau de poisson rôti et du miel en rayon. | And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish. | Ed essi gli diedero un pezzo di pesce arrostito e un favo di miele. |
| 43 | Et l'ayant pris il en mangea en leur présence. | And he took it, and ate before them. | Ed egli li prese e mangiò in loro presenza. |
| 44 | Puis il leur dit: C'est là ce que je vous disais lorsque j'étais encore avec vous, qu'il fallait que tout ce qui a été écrit de moi dans la loi de Moïse et dans les prophètes et dans les psaumes, fût accompli. | And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me. | Poi disse loro: Queste sono le parole che vi dicevo quando ero ancora con voi: che si dovevano adempiere tutte le cose scritte a mio riguardo nella legge di Mosè, nei profeti e nei salmi. |
| 45 | Alors il leur ouvrit l'esprit, pour qu'ils comprissent les Écritures. | Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures; | Allora aprì loro la mente, perché comprendessero le Scritture, |
| 46 | Et il leur dit: Ainsi est-il écrit, et ainsi fallait-il que le Christ souffrît, et qu'il ressuscitât des morts le troisième jour, | and he said unto them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day; | e disse loro: Così sta scritto, e così era necessario che il Cristo soffrisse e risuscitasse dai morti il terzo giorno |
| 47 | Et qu'on prêchât en son nom la repentance et la rémission des péchés, parmi toutes les nations, en commençant par Jérusalem. | and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. | e che nel suo nome si predicasse il ravvedimento e il perdono dei peccati a tutte le genti, cominciando da Gerusalemme. |
| 48 | Or, vous êtes les témoins de ces choses; et voici, je vais vous envoyer ce que mon Père a promis. | Ye are witnesses of these things. | Or voi siete testimoni di queste cose. |
| 49 | Pour vous, demeurez dans la ville de Jérusalem, jusqu'à ce que vous soyez revêtus de la vertu d'en haut. | And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high. | Ed ecco, io mando su di voi la promessa del Padre mio; ma voi rimanete nella città di Gerusalemme, finché siate rivestiti di potenza dall'alto. |
| 50 | Il les mena ensuite dehors jusqu'à Béthanie; puis, élevant ses mains, il les bénit. | And he led them out until [they were] over against Bethany: and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. | Poi li condusse fuori fino a Betania e alzate in alto le mani, li benedisse. |
| 51 | Et il arriva, comme il les bénissait, qu'il se sépara d'eux, et fut élevé au ciel. | And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried up into heaven. | E avvenne che, mentre egli li benediceva, si separò da loro e fu portato su nel cielo. |
| 52 | Et eux, l'ayant adoré, s'en retournèrent à Jérusalem dans une grande joie. | And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: | Ed essi, dopo averlo adorato, tornarono a Gerusalemme con grande gioia. |
| 53 | Et ils étaient continuellement dans le temple, louant et bénissant Dieu. Amen. | and were continually in the temple, blessing God. | E stavano continuamente nel tempio, lodando e benedicendo Dio. Amen! |
