| 1 | And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. | Jésus disait aussi à ses disciples: Un homme riche avait un économe qui fut accusé devant lui de lui dissiper son bien. | Or egli disse ancora ai suoi discepoli: Vi era un uomo ricco che aveva un fattore; e questi fu accusato davanti a lui di dissipare i suoi beni. |
| 2 | And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. | Et l'ayant fait venir, il lui dit: Qu'est-ce que j'entends dire de toi? Rends compte de ton administration; car tu ne pourras plus administrer mon bien. | Allora egli lo chiamò e gli disse: "Che cosa è questo che sento dire di te? Rendi ragione della tua amministrazione, perché tu non puoi più essere mio fattore". |
| 3 | Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. | Alors cet économe dit en lui-même: Que ferai-je, puisque mon maître m'ôte l'administration de son bien? Je ne saurais travailler à la terre, j'aurais honte de mendier. | E il fattore disse fra se stesso: "Che farò ora, dato che il mio padrone mi toglie l'amministrazione? | 4 | I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. | Je sais ce que je ferai, afin que quand on m'aura ôté mon administration, il y ait des gens qui me reçoivent dans leurs maisons. | Io so cosa fare affinché, quando io sarò rimosso dall'amministrazione, mi accolgano nelle loro case |
| 5 | So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord? | Alors il fit venir séparément chacun des débiteurs de son maître, et il dit au premier: Combien dois-tu à mon maître? | Chiamati dunque ad uno ad uno i debitori del suo padrone, disse al primo: "Quanto devi al mio padrone? |
| 6 | And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. | Il répondit: Cent mesures d'huile. Et l'économe lui dit: Reprends ton billet; assieds-toi, et écris-en promptement un autre de cinquante. | Quello rispose: "Cento bati di olio". Allora egli gli disse: "Prendi la tua ricevuta, siedi e scrivi subito cinquanta". |
| 7 | Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore. | Il dit ensuite à un autre: Et toi, combien dois-tu? Il dit: Cent mesures de froment. Et l'économe lui dit: Reprends ton billet, et écris-en un autre de quatre-vingts. | Poi disse ad un altro: "e tu quanto devi". Ed egli disse: "Cento cori di grano". | 8 | And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. | Et le maître loua cet économe infidèle de ce qu'il avait agi avec habileté; car les enfants de ce siècle sont plus prudents dans leur génération, que les enfants de lumière. | Il padrone lodò il fattore disonesto, perché aveva agito con avvedutezza, poiché i figli di questo mondo, nella loro generazione, sono più avveduti dei figli della luce. |

| 11 | If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? | Si donc vous n'avez pas été fidèles dans les richesses injustes, qui vous confiera les véritables? | Se dunque voi non siete stati fedeli nelle ricchezze ingiuste, chi vi affiderà le vere? |
| 12 | And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? | Et si vous n'avez pas été fidèles dans ce qui est à autrui, qui vous donnera ce qui est à vous? | E se non siete stati fedeli nelle ricchezze altrui, chi vi darà le vostre? |
| 13 | No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. | Nul serviteur ne peut servir deux maîtres; car, ou il haïra l'un, et aimera l'autre; ou il s'attachera à l'un, et méprisera l'autre. Vous ne pouvez servir Dieu et Mammon. | Nessun servo può servire a due padroni; perché o odierà l'uno e amerà l'altro, o si affezionerà all'uno e disprezzerà l'altro; voi non potete servire a Dio e a mammona. |
| 14 | And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. | Les pharisiens, qui étaient avares, écoutaient tout cela, et se moquaient de lui. | Or i farisei, che erano amanti del denaro, udivano tutte queste cose e si beffavano di lui. |
| 15 | And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. | Et il leur dit: Pour vous, vous voulez passer pour justes devant les hommes; mais Dieu connaît vos coeurs; car ce qui est élevé devant les hommes est une abomination devant Dieu. | Ed egli disse loro: Voi siete quelli che giustificate voi stessi davanti agli uomini, ma Dio conosce i vostri cuori; poiché ciò che è grandemente stimato tra gli uomini è cosa abominevole davanti a Dio. |

| 17 | And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. | Et chacun y entre par la violence. Mais il est plus aisé que le ciel et la terre passent, qu'il n'est possible qu'un seul trait de lettre de la loi soit aboli. | Ma è più facile che passino il cielo e la terra, piuttosto che cada un sol apice della legge. |
| 18 | Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. | Quiconque répudie sa femme et en épouse une autre, commet un adultère, et quiconque épouse celle que son mari a répudiée, commet un adultère. | Chiunque manda via la propria moglie e ne sposa un'altra, commette adulterio; e chiunque sposa una donna mandata via dal marito, commette adulterio. |

| 21 | And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. | Il désirait de se rassasier des miettes qui tombaient de la table du riche; et les chiens même venaient lécher ses ulcères. | e desiderava saziarsi delle briciole che cadevano dalla tavola del ricco, e perfino i cani venivano a leccare le sue piaghe. |
| 22 | And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; | Or, il arriva que le pauvre mourut, et il fut porté par les anges dans le sein d'Abraham; le riche mourut aussi, et fut enseveli. | Or avvenne che il mendicante morì e fu portato dagli angeli nel seno di Abrahamo; morì anche il ricco e fu sepolto. |
| 23 | And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. | Et étant en enfer, dans les tourments, il leva les yeux, et vit de loin Abraham, et Lazare dans son sein; | E, essendo tra i tormenti nell'inferno, alzò gli occhi e vide da lontano Abrahamo e Lazzaro nel suo seno. |
| 24 | And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. | Et s'écriant, il dit: Père Abraham, aie pitié de moi, et envoie Lazare, afin qu'il trempe dans l'eau le bout de son doigt, pour me rafraîchir la langue: Car je suis extrêmement tourmenté dans cette flamme. | Allora, gridando, disse: "Padre Abrahamo, abbi pietà di me, e manda Lazzaro a intingere nell'acqua la punta del dito per rinfrescarmi la lingua, perché soffro terribilmente in questa fiamma |
| 25 | But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. | Mais Abraham répondit: Mon fils, souviens-toi que tu as eu tes biens pendant ta vie, et que Lazare y a eu des maux; maintenant il est consolé, et toi tu es dans les tourments. | Ma Abrahamo disse: "Figlio, ricordati che tu hai ricevuto i tuoi beni durante la tua vita e Lazzaro similmente i mali; ora invece egli è consolato e tu soffri. |
| 26 | And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. | Outre cela, il y a un grand abîme entre vous et nous, de sorte que ceux qui voudraient passer d'ici à vous, ne le peuvent; non plus que ceux qui voudraient traverser de là jusqu'à nous. | Oltre a tutto ciò, fra noi e voi è posto un grande baratro, in modo tale che coloro che vorrebbero da qui passare a voi non possono; così pure nessuno può passare di là a noi |
| 27 | Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: | Et le riche dit: Je te prie donc, père Abraham, d'envoyer Lazare dans la maison de mon père | Ma quello disse: "Ti prego dunque, o padre, di mandarlo a casa di mio padre, |
| 28 | For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. | (Car j'ai cinq frères), pour leur attester ces choses, de peur qu'ils ne viennent aussi dans ce lieu de tourments. | perché io ho cinque fratelli, affinché li avverta severamente, e così non vengano anch'essi in questo luogo di tormento. |
| 29 | Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. | Abraham lui répondit: Ils ont Moïse et les prophètes; qu'ils les écoutent. | Abrahamo rispose: "hanno Mosè e i profeti, ascoltino quelli". |
| 30 | And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. | Le riche dit: Non, père Abraham; mais si quelqu'un des morts va vers eux, ils se repentiront. | Quello disse: "No, padre Abrahamo, ma se qualcuno dai morti andrà da loro, si ravvederanno". |
| 31 | And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. | Et Abraham lui dit: S'ils n'écoutent pas Moïse et les prophètes, ils ne seraient pas non plus persuadés, quand même l'un des morts ressusciterait. | Allora egli gli disse: "se non ascoltano Mosè e i profeti, non crederanno neppure se uno risuscitasse dai morti". |
