Rends compte de ton administration, car tu ne pourras plus administrer mes biens. | And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. | Allora egli lo chiamò e gli disse: "Che cosa è questo che sento dire di te? | 8 | Le maître loua l'économe infidèle de ce qu'il avait agi prudemment. Car les enfants de ce siècle sont plus prudents à l'égard de leurs semblables que ne le sont les enfants de lumière. | And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. | Il padrone lodò il fattore disonesto, perché aveva agito con avvedutezza, poiché i figli di questo mondo, nella loro generazione, sono più avveduti dei figli della luce. |

| 13 | Nul serviteur ne peut servir deux maîtres. Car, ou il haïra l'un et aimera l'autre ; ou il s'attachera à l'un et méprisera l'autre. Vous ne pouvez servir Dieu et Mamon. | No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. | Nessun servo può servire a due padroni; perché o odierà l'uno e amerà l'altro, o si affezionerà all'uno e disprezzerà l'altro; voi non potete servire a Dio e a mammona. |

| 22 | Le pauvre mourut, et il fut porté par les anges dans le sein d'Abraham. Le riche mourut aussi, et il fut enseveli. | And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; | Or avvenne che il mendicante morì e fu portato dagli angeli nel seno di Abrahamo; morì anche il ricco e fu sepolto. |

| 25 | Abraham répondit : Mon enfant, souviens-toi que tu as reçu tes biens pendant ta vie, et que Lazare a eu les maux pendant la sienne ; maintenant il est ici consolé, et toi, tu souffres. | But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. | Ma Abrahamo disse: "Figlio, ricordati che tu hai ricevuto i tuoi beni durante la tua vita e Lazzaro similmente i mali; ora invece egli è consolato e tu soffri. |

| 28 | C'est pour qu'il leur atteste ces choses, afin qu'ils ne viennent pas aussi dans ce lieu de tourments. | For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. | perché io ho cinque fratelli, affinché li avverta severamente, e così non vengano anch'essi in questo luogo di tormento. |
| 29 | Abraham répondit : Ils ont Moïse et les prophètes ; qu'ils les écoutent. | Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. | Abrahamo rispose: "hanno Mosè e i profeti, ascoltino quelli". |
| 30 | Et il dit : Non, père Abraham, mais si quelqu'un des morts va vers eux, ils se repentiront. | And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. | Quello disse: "No, padre Abrahamo, ma se qualcuno dai morti andrà da loro, si ravvederanno". |
| 31 | Et Abraham lui dit : S'ils n'écoutent pas Moïse et les prophètes, ils ne se laisseront pas persuader quand même quelqu'un des morts ressusciterait. | And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. | Allora egli gli disse: "se non ascoltano Mosè e i profeti, non crederanno neppure se uno risuscitasse dai morti". |
