| 1 | And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, | L'Eternel parla aussi à Moïse, en disant: |
| 2 | Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the LORD by thy estimation. | Parle aux enfants d'Israël, et leur dis: Quand quelqu'un aura fait un voeu important, les personnes vouées à l'Eternel seront mises à ton estimation. |
| 3 | And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary. | Et l'estimation que tu feras d'un mâle, depuis l'âge de vingt ans jusqu'à l'âge de soixante ans, sera du prix de cinquante sicles d'argent, selon le sicle du Sanctuaire. |
| 4 | And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels. | Mais si c'est une femme, alors ton estimation sera de trente sicles. |
| 5 | And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels. | Que si c'est d'une personne de l'âge de cinq ans jusqu'à l'âge de vingt ans, alors l'estimation que tu feras d'un mâle sera de vingt sicles; et quant à la femme, l'estimation sera de dix sicles. |
| 6 | And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver. | Et si c'est d'une personne de l'âge d'un mois jusqu'à l'âge de cinq ans, l'estimation que tu feras d'un mâle sera de cinq sicles d'argent; et l'estimation que tu feras d'une fille, sera de trois sicles d'argent. |
| 7 | And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels. | Et lorsque c'est d'une personne âgée de soixante ans et au-dessus, si c'est un mâle, ton estimation sera de quinze sicles; et si c'est une femme, l'estimation sera de dix sicles. |
| 8 | But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that vowed shall the priest value him. | Et s'il est plus pauvre que ne monte ton estimation, il se présentera devant le Sacrificateur qui en fera l'estimation, et le Sacrificateur en fera l'estimation selon ce que pourra fournir celui qui a fait le voeu. |
| 9 | And if it be a beast, whereof men bring an offering unto the LORD, all that any man giveth of such unto the LORD shall be holy. | Et si c'est d'une de ces sortes de bêtes dont on fait offrande à l'Eternel, tout ce qui aura été donné à l'Eternel de cette sorte de bêtes, sera saint. |
| 10 | He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change beast for beast, then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy. | Il ne la changera point, et n'en mettra point une autre en sa place, une bonne pour une mauvaise, ou une mauvaise pour une bonne: et s'il met en quelque sorte que ce soit une bête pour une autre bête, tant celle-là que l'autre qui aura été mise en sa place, sera sainte. |
| 11 | And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer a sacrifice unto the LORD, then he shall present the beast before the priest: | Et si c'est d'une bête souillée, dont on ne fait point offrande à l'Eternel, il présentera la bête devant le Sacrificateur, |
| 12 | And the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it, who art the priest, so shall it be. | Qui en fera l'estimation selon qu'elle sera bonne ou mauvaise; et il en sera fait ainsi, selon que toi, Sacrificateur, en auras fait l'estimation. |
| 13 | But if he will at all redeem it, then he shall add a fifth part thereof unto thy estimation. | Mais s'il la veut racheter en quelque sorte, il ajoutera un cinquième par dessus ton estimation. |
| 14 | And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto the LORD, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand. | Et quand quelqu'un aura sanctifié sa maison pour être sainte à l'Eternel, le Sacrificateur l'estimera selon qu'elle sera bonne ou mauvaise; et on se tiendra à l'estimation que le Sacrificateur en aura faite. |
| 15 | And if he that sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be his. | Mais si celui qui l'a sanctifiée veut racheter sa maison, il ajoutera par dessus le cinquième de l'argent de ton estimation, et elle lui demeurera. |
| 16 | And if a man shall sanctify unto the LORD some part of a field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver. | Et si l'homme sanctifie à l'Eternel quelque partie du champ de sa possession, ton estimation sera selon ce qu'on y sème; le Homer de semence d'orge sera estimé cinquante sicles d'argent. |
| 17 | If he sanctify his field from the year of jubile, according to thy estimation it shall stand. | Que s'il a sanctifié son champ dès l'année du Jubilé, on se tiendra à ton estimation. |
| 18 | But if he sanctify his field after the jubile, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, even unto the year of the jubile, and it shall be abated from thy estimation. | Mais s'il sanctifie son champ après le Jubilé, le Sacrificateur lui mettra en compte l'argent selon le nombre des années qui restent jusqu'à l'année du Jubilé, et cela sera rabattu de ton estimation. |
| 19 | And if he that sanctified the field will in any wise redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be assured to him. | Et si celui qui a sanctifié le champ, le veut racheter en quelque sorte que ce soit, il ajoutera par dessus le cinquième de l'argent de ton estimation, et il lui demeurera. |
| 20 | And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more. | Mais s'il ne rachète point le champ, et que le champ se vende à un autre homme, il ne se rachètera plus. |
| 21 | But the field, when it goeth out in the jubile, shall be holy unto the LORD, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest's. | Et ce champ-là ayant passé le Jubilé, sera saint à l'Eternel, comme un champ d'interdit, la possession en sera au Sacrificateur. |
| 22 | And if a man sanctify unto the LORD a field which he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his possession; | Et s'il sanctifie à l'Eternel un champ qu'il ait acheté, n'étant point des champs de sa possession; |
| 23 | Then the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy estimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he shall give thine estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the LORD. | Le Sacrificateur lui comptera la somme de ton estimation jusqu'à l'année du Jubilé, et il donnera en ce jour-là ton estimation, afin que ce soit une chose sainte à l'Eternel. |
| 24 | In the year of the jubile the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land did belong. | Mais en l'année du Jubilé le champ retournera à celui duquel il l'avait acheté, et auquel était la possession du fond. |
| 25 | And all thy estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel. | Et toute estimation que tu auras faite, sera selon le sicle du Sanctuaire; le sicle est de vingt oboles. |
| 26 | Only the firstling of the beasts, which should be the LORD's firstling, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the LORD's. | Toutefois nul ne pourra sanctifier le premier-né d'entre les bêtes, car il appartient à l'Eternel par droit de primogéniture, soit de vache, soit de brebis, ou de chèvre, il est à l'Eternel. |
| 27 | And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to thine estimation, and shall add a fifth part of it thereto: or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to thy estimation. | Mais s'il est de bêtes souillées, il le rachètera selon ton estimation, et il ajoutera à ton estimation un cinquième; et s'il n'est point racheté, il sera vendu selon ton estimation. |
| 28 | Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD. | Or nul interdit que quelqu'un aura dévoué à l'Eternel par interdit, de tout ce qui est sien, soit homme, ou bête, ou champ de sa possession, ne se vendra, ni ne se rachètera; tout interdit sera très-saint à l'Eternel. |
| 29 | None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death. | Nul interdit dévoué par interdit d'entre les hommes, ne se rachètera, mais on le fera mourir de mort. |
| 30 | And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's: it is holy unto the LORD. | Or toute dîme de la terre, tant du grain de la terre que du fruit des arbres, est à l'Eternel; c'est une sainteté à l'Eternel. |
| 31 | And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof. | Mais si quelqu'un veut racheter en quelque sorte que ce soit quelque chose de sa dîme, il y ajoutera le cinquième par dessus. |
| 32 | And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD. | Mais toute dîme de boeufs, de brebis et de chèvres, savoir tout ce qui passe sous la verge, qui est le dixième, sera sanctifié à l'Eternel. |
| 33 | He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed. | On ne choisira point le bon ou le mauvais, et on n'en mettra point d'autre en sa place; que si on le fait en quelque sorte que ce soit, la bête changée et l'autre qui aura été mise en sa place, sera sanctifiée, et ne sera point rachetée. |
| 34 | These are the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai. | Ce sont là les commandements que l'Eternel donna à Moïse sur la montagne de Sinaï, pour les enfants d'Israël. |
