| 2 | Ainsi m'a parlé Jéhovah : Fais-toi des liens et des jougs, et mets-les sur ton cou. | Thus saith Jehovah to me: Make thee bonds and bars, and put them upon thy neck; |
| 3 | Puis envoie-les au roi d'Edom, au roi de Moab, au roi des enfants d'Ammon, au roi de Tyr et au roi de Sidon par les ambassadeurs qui sont venus à Jérusalem auprès de Sédécias, roi de Juda. | and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers that come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah; |

| 5 | C'est moi qui par ma puissance et par mon bras étendu ai fait la terre, l'homme et les animaux qui sont sur la face de la terre, et je la donne à qui il me plaît. | I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it unto whom it seemeth right unto me. |
| 6 | Maintenant c'est moi qui ai donné toutes ces contrées aux mains de Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, mon serviteur; je lui ai donné même les animaux des champs pour qu'ils le servent. | And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field also have I given him to serve him. |
| 7 | Toutes les nations lui seront assujetties, à lui, à son fils et au fils de son fils, jusqu’à ce que vienne le temps de son pays, à lui aussi, et que des nations nombreuses et de grands rois l'assujettissent. | And all the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son`s son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondman. |
| 8 | La nation et le royaume qui ne se soumettront pas à lui, Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, cette nation, je la visiterai par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste, dit Jéhovah, jusqu'à ce que je l'achève par sa main. | And it shall come to pass, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith Jehovah, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. |
| 9 | Et vous, n'écoutez pas vos prophètes, ni vos devins, ni vos songes, ni vos augures, ni vos magiciens, qui vous disent : "Vous ne serez pas assujettis au roi de Babylone." | But as for you, hearken ye not to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: |
| 10 | Car c'est le mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent, pour vous éloigner de votre pays, pour que je vous chasse et que vous périssiez. | for they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish. |
| 11 | Mais la nation qui mettra son cou sous le joug du roi de Babylone, pour le servir, je la laisserai en repos dans son pays, dit Jéhovah : elle le cultivera et y demeurera. | But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that [nation] will I let remain in their own land, saith Jehovah; and they shall till it, and dwell therein. |
| 12 | J'adressai exactement les mêmes paroles à Sédécias, lui disant : Mettez vos cous sous le joug du roi de Babylone; servez-le, lui et son peuple, et vous vivrez. | And I spake to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live. |
| 13 | Pourquoi mourriez-vous, toi et ton peuple, par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste, comme Jéhovah l'a dit, de la nation qui ne voudra pas servir le roi de Babylone ? | Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Jehovah hath spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? |
| 14 | N'écoutez pas les paroles des prophètes qui vous disent : "Vous ne serez point assujettis au roi de Babylone;"car c'est le mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent. | And hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you. |
| 15 | Je ne les ai point envoyés, dit Jéhovah, et ils prophétisent faussement en mon nom, afin que je vous chasse et que vous périssiez, vous et les prophètes qui vous prophétisent. | For I have not sent them, saith Jehovah, but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that ye may perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you. |
| 16 | Je parlai de même aux prêtres et à tout ce peuple, et je leur dis : N'écoutez pas les paroles de vos prophètes qui vous prophétisent, en disant : "Les ustensiles de la maison de Jéhovah seront bientôt ramenés de Babylone"; car c'est le mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent. | Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Jehovah`s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you. |
| 17 | Ne les écoutez pas; soumettez-vous au roi de Babylone, et vous vivrez. Pourquoi cette ville serait-elle réduite en solitude ? | Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city become a desolation? |
| 18 | S'ils sont prophètes, si la parole de Jéhovah est avec eux, qu'ils intercèdent auprès de Jéhovah des armées pour que les ustensiles qui sont restés dans la maison de Jéhovah, dans celle des rois de Juda et à Jérusalem ne s'en aillent pas à Babylone! | But if they be prophets, and if the word of Jehovah be with them, let them now make intercession to Jehovah of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon. |
| 19 | Car ainsi parle Jéhovah des armées au sujet des colonnes, de la mer, des bases et des autres meubles qui sont restés dans cette ville, | For thus saith Jehovah of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that are left in this city, |
| 20 | que Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, n’a pas pris, lorsqu’il emmena captifs de Jérusalem Jéchonias, fils de Joakim, roi de Juda, et tous les grands de Juda et de Jérusalem ; | which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem; |
| 21 | ainsi parle Jéhovah des armées, Dieu d’Israël, au sujet des ustensiles qui restent dans la maison de Jéhovah, dans celle du roi de Juda et à Jérusalem : | yea, thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem: |
| 22 | Ils seront emportés à Babylone, et ils y resteront jusqu’au jour où je les visiterai, dit Jéhovah, et je les ferai remonter et revenir de ce lieu. | They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be, until the day that I visit them, saith Jehovah; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place. |
