| 2 | And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates: | Tu diras : Ecoute la parole de Jéhovah, ô roi de Juda, Qui sièges sur le trône de David, Toi, tes serviteurs et ton peuple Qui passez par ces portes. | e di': Ascolta la parola dell'Eterno, o re di Giuda, che siedi sul trono di Davide, tu, i tuoi servi e il tuo popolo, che entrate per queste porte. |
| 3 | Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place. | Ainsi parle Jéhovah : Faites droit et justice; Arrachez l'opprimé aux mains de l'oppresseur; Ne maltraitez pas l'étranger, l'orphelin et la veuve; N'usez pas de violence, Et ne versez pas le sang innocent dans ce lieu. | Così dice l'Eterno: Agite con rettitudine e giustizia, liberate il derubato dalla mano dell'oppressore, non fate torto né violenza allo straniero, all'orfano e alla vedova, e non spargete sangue innocente in questo luogo. |
| 4 | For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people. | Si vous faites exactement ce que je vous dis, Les rois assis sur le trône de David Entreront par la porte de cette maison, Montés sur des chars et sur des chevaux, Eux, leurs serviteurs et leur peuple. | Poiché se osserverete interamente questa parola, allora i re assisi sul trono di Davide entreranno per le porte di questa casa, montati su carri e su cavalli, essi, i loro servi e il loro popolo. |
| 5 | But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation. | Mais si vous n'écoutez pas ces paroles, Je le jure par moi-même; dit Jéhovah, Cette maison deviendra une ruine. | Ma se non ascolterete queste parole, io giuro per me stesso, dice l'Eterno che questa casa diventerà una desolazione. |
| 6 | For thus saith the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited. | Car ainsi parle Jéhovah touchant la maison du roi de Juda : Tu es pour moi un Galaad, le sommet du Liban; Eh bien; je ferai de toi un désert, des villes inhabitées. | Poiché così dice l'Eterno riguardo alla casa del re di Giuda: Tu eri per me come Galaad, come la vetta del Libano. Ma io ti ridurrò certamente a un deserto a città senza abitanti. |
| 7 | And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire. | Je te prépare des destructeurs, chacun avec ses outils; Ils couperont tes cèdres de choix et les jetteront au feu. | Preparo contro di te dei devastatori, ognuno con le sue armi; essi abbatteranno i tuoi cedri migliori e li getteranno nel fuoco. |
| 8 | And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city? | De nombreuses nations passeront par cette ville, Et elles se diront l'une à l’autre : "Pourquoi Jéhovah a-t-il ainsi traité cette grande ville ?" | Molte nazioni passeranno vicino a questa città e diranno l'una all'altra: "Perché l'Eterno ha trattato così questa grande città?" |
| 9 | Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them. | Et l'on dira : "Parce qu'ils ont abandonné l'alliance de Jéhovah, leur Dieu, Qu'ils se sont prosternés devant d'autres dieux et les ont servis." | E risponderanno: "Perché hanno abbandonato il patto dell'Eterno, il loro DIO, e si sono prostrati davanti ad altri dèi e li hanno serviti". |
| 10 | Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: but weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country. | Ne pleurez point celui qui est mort, Et ne vous lamentez pas à cause de lui; Pleurez, pleurez celui qui s'en est allé, Car il ne reviendra plus, Et ne verra pas le pays de sa naissance! | Non piangete per il morto, non fate cordoglio per lui, ma piangete amaramente per chi parte, perché non tornerà più né rivedrà più il suo paese nativo. |
| 11 | For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more: | Car ainsi parle Jéhovah - Touchant Sellum, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, Qui a régné à la place de Josias, son père, Et qui est sorti de ce lieu : Il n'y reviendra plus; | Poiché così dice l'Eterno riguardo a Shallum, figlio di Giosia, re di Giuda, che regna al posto di Giosia suo padre e che è uscito da questo luogo: Egli non vi ritornerà più, |

| 13 | Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work; | Malheur à celui qui bâtit sa maison par l’injustice Et ses étages sans droit, Qui fuit travailler son prochain pour rien, Sans lui donner son salaire; | Guai a chi costruisce la sua casa senza giustizia e le sue stanze superiori senza equità, che fa lavorare il prossimo per nulla e non gli retribuisce il suo lavoro, |
| 14 | That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion. | Qui dit : "Je me bâtirai une maison vaste Et des chambres spacieuses;"Qui y perce beaucoup de fenêtres, La couvre de cèdre Et la peint au vermillon! | e dice: Mi costruirò una casa grande con spaziose stanze superiori, e vi apre finestre, la riveste di legno di cedro e la dipinge di rosso. |
| 15 | Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him? | Es-tu roi parce que tu as la passion du cèdre ? Ton père n'a-t-il pas mangé et bu ? Il faisait droit et justice, Et tout allait bien pour lui; | Pensi forse di essere re, perché sei circondato da cedro? Tuo padre non mangiava e beveva? Ma agiva con rettitudine e giustizia e tutto gli andava bene. |
| 16 | He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the LORD. | Il jugeait la cause du malheureux et du pauvre, Et tout allait bien : N'est-ce pas là me connaître, dit Jéhovah ? | Egli difendeva la causa del povero e del bisognoso e tutto gli andava bene. Non significa questo conoscere me?, dice l'Eterno. |
| 17 | But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it. | Mais tes yeux et ton coeur ne sont tournés qu'à la rapine, Au sang innocent pour le répandre, A l'oppression et à la violence pour les commettre. | Ma i tuoi occhi e il tuo cuore non mirano che al tuo ingiusto guadagno, a spargere sangue innocente e a compiere oppressione e violenza. |
| 18 | Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah his glory! | C'est pourquoi ainsi parle Jéhovah Touchant Joakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda : On ne le pleurera pas, en disant : "Hélas, mon frère! hélas, ma soeur !"On ne pleurera pas sur lui, en disant : Hélas, Seigneur! hélas, majesté! | Perciò così dice l'Eterno riguardo a Jehoiakim, figlio di Giosia, re di Giuda: Non faranno cordoglio per lui, dicendo: Ahimè, fratello mio! | 19 | He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem. | Il sera enterré comme on enterre un âne, Traîné et jeté hors les portes de Jérusalem. | Sarà sepolto come si seppellisce un asino, trascinato e gettato lontano dalle porte di Gerusalemme. |

This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice. | Je t'ai parlé pendant que tu étais prospère; Tu as dit : "Je n'écouterai pas!": C'est là ta conduite dès ta jeunesse; Tu n'as pas écouté ma voix! | Ti ho parlato al tempo della tua prosperità, ma tu dicesti: "Non ascolterò". | 23 | O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail! | Toi qui habite au Liban, Qui as placé ton nid dans les cèdres, Comme tu gémiras quand viendront sur toi les douleurs, Des convulsions pareilles à celles d'une femme en travail! | Tu che dimori sul Libano, che hai fatto il nido tra cedri, quanto gemerai quando ti coglieranno le doglie, i dolori come di donna che sta per partorire! |
| 24 | As I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence; | Je suis vivant! dit Jéhovah : Quand Jéchonias, fils de Joakim, roi de Juda Serait un anneau à ma main droite, Je l'arracherais de là! | Com'è vero che io vivo, dice l'Eterno, anche se Koniah, figlio di Jehoiakim, re di Giuda, fosse un anello da sigillo nella mia mano destra, io ti strapperei di là. |
| 25 | And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans. | Je te livrerai aux mains de ceux qui en veulent à ta vie, Aux mains de ceux devant qui tu trembles, Aux mains de Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, Et aux mains des Chaldéens. | Io ti darò in mano di quelli che cercano la tua vita, in mano di quelli di cui hai paura, in mano di Nebukadnetsar, re di Babilonia, e in mano dei Caldei. |
| 26 | And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die. | Je te jetterai, toi et ta mère qui t'a mis au monde, Dans un autre pays où vous n'êtes pas nés, Et là vous mourrez. | Getterò te e tua madre che ti ha partorito, in un paese straniero dove non siete nati, e là morirete. |
| 27 | But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return. | Et au pays où ils aspireront à revenir, Ils ne reviendront pas. | Ma nel paese in cui desiderano ardentemente di ritornare, non vi torneranno. |
| 28 | Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not? | Est-ce donc un vase méprisé et brisé que cet homme, Jéchonias, Ou bien un ustensile de rebut, Pour qu'on les ait chassés, lui et sa race, Et jetés dans un pays qu'ils ne connaissaient pas ? | E forse quest'uomo Koniah un vaso spregevole, frantumato, o un oggetto in cui non si prova alcun piacere? Perché sono dunque scacciati, lui e la sua discendenza, e gettati in un paese che non conoscono? |
| 29 | O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD. | Terre, terre, terre, Ecoute la parole de Jéhovah! | O paese, o paese, o paese, ascolta la parola dell'Eterno! |
| 30 | Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah. | Ainsi parle Jéhovah : Inscrivez-le comme stérile, Comme un homme qui ne réussit pas dans ses jours, Car nul de ses descendant ne réussira à s'asseoir Sur le trône de David pour régner sur Juda! | Così dice l'Eterno: "Registrate quest'uomo come privo di figli, un uomo che non prospererà nei suoi giorni, perché nessuno della sua discendenza prospererà, giungendo a sedersi sul trono di Davide e a regnare ancora su Giuda". |
