| 19 | Ton iniquité te châtie, et tes rébellions te reprennent; et connais, et vois, que c'est une chose mauvaise et amère que tu aies abandonné l'Éternel, ton Dieu, et que ma crainte ne soit pas en toi, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel des armées. | Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and a bitter, that thou hast forsaken Jehovah thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts. | La tua stessa malvagità ti castigherà e i tuoi sviamenti ti puniranno. | 21 | Et moi je t'avais plantée, un cep exquis, une toute vraie semence; comment t'es-tu changée pour moi en sarments dégénérés d'une vigne étrangère? | Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate branches of a foreign vine unto me? | Eppure ti avevo piantato come una nobile vigna tutta della migliore qualità; come dunque ti sei cambiata nei miei confronti in tralci degeneri di vigna straniera? |
| 22 | Quand tu te laverais avec du nitre, et que tu emploierais beaucoup de potasse, ton iniquité reste marquée devant moi, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel. | For though thou wash thee with lye, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord Jehovah. | Anche se ti lavassi con la soda e usassi molto sapone, la tua iniquità lascerebbe un'impronta indelebile davanti a me, dice il Signore, l'Eterno. |

Regarde ton chemin dans la vallée, reconnais ce que tu as fait, dromadaire légère, qui vas çà et là croisant tes chemins. | How canst thou say, I am not defiled, I have not gone after the Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: [thou art] a swift dromedary traversing her ways; | Come puoi dire: "Non mi son contaminata, non sono andata dietro ai Baal, Guarda la strada da te percorsa nella valle, riconosci, ciò che hai fatto, dromedaria veloce, che corre senza freno nelle sue vie. |
| 24 | Anesse sauvage accoutumée au désert, dans le désir de son âme elle hume le vent: dans son ardeur, qui la détournera? Tous ceux qui la cherchent ne se fatigueront point; ils la trouveront en son mois. | a wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind in her desire; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her. | Asina selvatica, abituata al deserto, che aspira l'aria nell'ardore del suo desiderio; nella stagione degli amori chi può trattenerla? Mais tu dis: C'est en vain; non, car j'aime les étrangers, et j'irai après eux. | Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou saidst, It is in vain; no, for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go. | Impedisci che il tuo piede rimanga scalzo e che la tua gola si inaridisca. | 26 | Comme un voleur est confus quand il est trouvé, ainsi sera confuse la maison d'Israël, eux, leurs rois, leurs princes, et leurs sacrificateurs, et leurs prophètes; | As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets; | Come rimane confuso il ladro quando è sorpreso sul fatto, così sono confusi quelli della casa d'Israele, essi, i loro re, i loro principi, i loro sacerdoti e i loro profeti, |

Car ils m'ont tourné le dos, et non la face; et, dans le temps de leur malheur, ils diront: Lève-toi, et délivre-nous! | who say to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face; but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us. | i quali dicono al legno: "Tu sei mio padre" e alla pietra: "Tu ci hai dato la vita". Car le nombre de tes dieux est celui de tes villes, ô Juda! | But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah. | Ma dove sono i tuoi dèi che ti sei fatto Si lèvino, se possono salvarti nel tempo della tua sventura. | 30 | J'ai frappé vos fils en vain, ils ne reçoivent pas la correction; votre épée a dévoré vos prophètes, comme un lion destructeur. | In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion. | Invano ho colpito i vostri figli; non hanno accettato la correzione. La vostra spada ha divorato i vostri profeti come un leone distruttore. |
| 31 | O génération! voyez la parole de l'Éternel! Ai-je été un désert pour Israël, ou un pays de ténèbres? Pourquoi mon peuple a-t-il dit: Nous sommes maîtres, nous ne viendrons plus à toi? | O generation, see ye the word of Jehovah. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? or a land of thick darkness? wherefore say my people, We are broken loose; we will come no more unto thee? | O generazione, considera la parola dell'Eterno! Sarai delusa anche dall'Egitto, come sei stata delusa dall'Assiria. |
