| 1 | L'Éternel me dit : Quand Moïse et Samuel se présenteraient devant moi, Je ne serais pas favorable à ce peuple. Chasse-le loin de ma face, qu'il s'en aille ! | Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth. | Ma l'Eterno mi disse: Anche se Mosè, e Samuele, si presentassero davanti a me, il mio cuore non si piegherebbe verso questo popolo; caccialo via dalla mia presenza; che se ne vada! |

Tu leur répondras : Ainsi parle l'Éternel : A la mort ceux qui sont pour la mort, A l'épée ceux qui sont pour l'épée, A la famine ceux qui sont pour la famine, A la captivité ceux qui sont pour la captivité ! | And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity. | Se poi ti dovessero dire: "Dove andremo? dirai loro: Così dice l'Eterno: Alla morte i destinati alla morte, alla spada i destinati alla spada, alla fame i destinati alla fame, alla cattività i destinati alla cattività. |

Je n'emprunte ni ne prête, Et cependant tous me maudissent. | Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me. | Guai a me, madre mia, perché mi hai partorito come uomo di lite e di contesa per tutto il paese. | 11 | L'Éternel dit : Certes, tu auras un avenir heureux ; Certes, je forcerai l'ennemi à t'adresser ses supplications, Au temps du malheur et au temps de la détresse. | The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction. | L'Eterno dice: Certamente ti libererò per sempre, certamente farò si che il nemico ti supplichi nel tempo dell'avversità e nel tempo dell'angoscia. |

| 13 | Je livre gratuitement au pillage tes biens et tes trésors, A cause de tous tes péchés, sur tout ton territoire. | Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders. | La tua ricchezza e i tuoi tesori li abbandonerò al saccheggio senza alcun prezzo per tutti i tuoi peccati e in tutti i tuoi confini. |
| 14 | Je te fais passer avec ton ennemi dans un pays que tu ne connais pas, Car le feu de ma colère s'est allumé, Il brûle sur vous. | And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you. | E ti farò passare con i tuoi nemici in un paese che non conosci perché un fuoco si è acceso nella mia ira, che arderà contro di voi. |
| 15 | Tu sais tout, ô Éternel, souviens-toi de moi, ne m'oublie pas, Venge-moi de mes persécuteurs ! Ne m'enlève pas, tandis que tu te montres lent à la colère ! Sache que je supporte l'opprobre à cause de toi. | O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke. | Tu lo sai, o Eterno, ricordati di me e visitami, e vendicami dei miei persecutori; nella lentezza della tua ira non portarmi via; sappi che per amor tuo ho portato l'obbrobrio. |

| 17 | Je ne me suis point assis dans l'assemblée des moqueurs, afin de m'y réjouir ; Mais à cause de ta puissance, je me suis assis solitaire, Car tu me remplissais de fureur. | I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation. | Io non mi sono seduto nell'assemblea degli schernitori, né mi sono rallegrato; ma a motivo della tua mano mi sono seduto solitario, perché tu mi avevi riempito d'indignazione. |

| 19 | C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel : Si tu te rattaches à moi, je te répondrai, et tu te tiendras devant moi ; Si tu sépares ce qui est précieux de ce qui est vil, tu seras comme ma bouche. C'est à eux de revenir à toi, Mais ce n'est pas à toi de retourner vers eux. | Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them. | Perciò così dice l'Eterno: Se tu ritorni a me, io ti ristabilirò e tu starai davanti a me. Se tu separi il prezioso dal vile, tu sarai come la mia bocca; essi ritorneranno a te, ma tu non devi tornare a loro. |
| 20 | Je te rendrai pour ce peuple comme une forte muraille d'airain ; Ils te feront la guerre, mais ils ne te vaincront pas ; Car je serai avec toi pour te sauver et te délivrer, Dit l'Éternel. | And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD. | Io ti renderò per questo popolo un forte muro di bronzo; combatteranno contro di te, ma non potranno vincerti, perché io sarò con te per salvarti e per liberarti, dice l'Eterno. |
| 21 | Je te délivrerai de la main des méchants, Je te sauverai de la main des violents. | And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible. | Ti libererò dalla mano dei malvagi e ti riscatterò dalla mano dei violenti. |
