| 1 | Et l'Éternel me dit: Quand Moïse et Samuel se tiendraient devant moi, mon âme ne serait pas tournée vers ce peuple; renvoie-les de devant moi, et qu'ils sortent. | Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth. | Ma l'Eterno mi disse: Anche se Mosè, e Samuele, si presentassero davanti a me, il mio cuore non si piegherebbe verso questo popolo; caccialo via dalla mia presenza; che se ne vada! |
| 2 | Et il arrivera que, s'ils te disent: Où sortirons-nous? tu leur diras: Ainsi dit l'Éternel: Ceux qui sont pour la mort, à la mort; et ceux qui sont pour l'épée, à l'épée; et ceux qui sont pour la famine, à la famine; et ceux qui sont pour la captivité, à la captivité. | And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity. | Se poi ti dovessero dire: "Dove andremo? dirai loro: Così dice l'Eterno: Alla morte i destinati alla morte, alla spada i destinati alla spada, alla fame i destinati alla fame, alla cattività i destinati alla cattività. |
| 3 | Et j'établirai sur eux quatre espèces de punitions, dit l'Éternel: l'épée pour tuer, et les chiens pour traîner, et les oiseaux des cieux et les bêtes de la terre pour dévorer et pour détruire. | And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy. | Io stabilirò sopra di loro quattro specie di flagelli, dice l'Eterno: la spada per uccidere, i cani per sbranare, gli uccelli del cielo e le bestie della terra per divorare e distruggere. |
| 4 | Et je les livrerai pour être chassés çà et là par tous les royaumes de la terre, à cause de Manassé, fils d'Ézéchias, roi de Juda, pour ce qu'il a fait dans Jérusalem. | And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem. | Li farò essere maltrattati per tutti i regni della terra a causa di Manasse, figlio di Ezechia, re di Giuda, per ciò che ha fatto in Gerusalemme. |
| 5 | Car qui aurait compassion de toi, Jérusalem, et qui te plaindrait? et qui se détournerait pour s'enquérir de ta paix? | For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest? | Chi infatti avrebbe pietà di te, o Gerusalemme, chi farebbe cordoglio per te? Chi si scomoderebbe per domandare come stai? |
| 6 | Tu m'as délaissé, dit l'Éternel, tu t'en es allée en arrière; et j'ai étendu ma main sur toi, et je te détruirai: je suis las de me repentir. | Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting. | Tu mi hai respinto, dice l'Eterno, mi hai voltato le spalle. Perciò io stenderò la mano contro di te e ti distruggerò; sono stanco di pentirmi. |
| 7 | Je les vannerai avec un van aux portes du pays; je priverai d'enfants et je ferai périr mon peuple: ils ne reviennent pas de leurs voies. | And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people since they return not from their ways. | Li disperderò col ventilabro alle porte del paese, li priverò di figli e farò perire Il mio popolo, perché non si convertono dalle loro vie. |
| 8 | Les veuves sont multipliées devant moi plus que le sable des mers; je fais venir contre eux, sur la mère des jeunes hommes, un dévastateur en plein midi; je fais tomber sur elle subitement l'angoisse et l'épouvante; | Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city. | Renderò le sue vedove più numerose della sabbia del mare. Et ce qui reste d'eux, je les livrerai à l'épée devant leurs ennemis, dit l'Éternel. | She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD. | Colei che ha partorito sette, figli languisce ed esala lo spirito; il suo sole tramonta mentre è ancora giorno; è coperta di vergogna e confusa. Consegnerò i loro superstiti alla spada in balìa dei loro nemici, dice l'Eterno. |
| 10 | Malheur à moi, ma mère! de ce que tu m'as enfanté homme de débat et homme de contestation à tout le pays; je n'ai pas prêté à usure, on ne m'a pas prêté à usure, et chacun me maudit! | Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me. | Guai a me, madre mia, perché mi hai partorito come uomo di lite e di contesa per tutto il paese. Non ho dato nulla in prestito, né altri hanno prestato a me eppure tutti mi maledicono. |
| 11 | L'Éternel dit: Si je ne te délivre pour le bien! Si je ne fais venir au-devant de toi l'ennemi, au temps du malheur, et au temps de la détresse! | The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction. | L'Eterno dice: Certamente ti libererò per sempre, certamente farò si che il nemico ti supplichi nel tempo dell'avversità e nel tempo dell'angoscia. |
| 12 | Le fer se brisera-t-il, le fer du nord et l'airain? | Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel? | Può uno spezzare il ferro, il ferro del nord e il bronzo? |
| 13 | -Tes biens et tes trésors, je les livrerai au pillage, sans en faire le prix, et cela à cause de tous tes péchés, et dans tous tes confins; | Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders. | La tua ricchezza e i tuoi tesori li abbandonerò al saccheggio senza alcun prezzo per tutti i tuoi peccati e in tutti i tuoi confini. |
| 14 | et je les ferai passer avec tes ennemis dans un pays que tu ne connais pas; car un feu est allumé dans ma colère, il brûlera contre vous. | And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you. | E ti farò passare con i tuoi nemici in un paese che non conosci perché un fuoco si è acceso nella mia ira, che arderà contro di voi. |
| 15 | Tu le sais, ô Éternel! Souviens-toi de moi, et visite-moi, et venge-moi de mes persécuteurs. Selon la lenteur de ta colère, ne m'enlève pas; sache que, pour toi, je porte l'opprobre. | O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke. | Tu lo sai, o Eterno, ricordati di me e visitami, e vendicami dei miei persecutori; nella lentezza della tua ira non portarmi via; sappi che per amor tuo ho portato l'obbrobrio. |
| 16 | Tes paroles se sont-elles trouvées, je les ai mangées; et tes paroles ont été pour moi l'allégresse et la joie de mon coeur; car je suis appelé de ton nom, ô Éternel, Dieu des armées! | Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. | Appena ho trovato le tue parole, le ho divorate, la tua parola è stata per me la gioia e l'allegrezza del mio cuore, perché il tuo nome è invocato su di me, o Eterno, DIO degli eserciti. |
| 17 | Je ne me suis pas assis dans l'assemblée des moqueurs, ni ne me suis égayé: à cause de ta main, je me suis assis solitaire, parce que tu m'as rempli d'indignation. | I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation. | Io non mi sono seduto nell'assemblea degli schernitori, né mi sono rallegrato; ma a motivo della tua mano mi sono seduto solitario, perché tu mi avevi riempito d'indignazione. |
| 18 | Pourquoi ma douleur est-elle continuelle, et ma plaie, incurable? Elle refuse d'être guérie. Me serais-tu bien comme une source qui trompe, comme des eaux qui ne sont pas constantes? | Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail? | Perché il mio dolore è senza fine e la mia piaga incurabile rifiuta di guarire? Vuoi essere per me come un ruscello che vien meno, come acqua che non dà affidamento? |
| 19 | C'est pourquoi, ainsi dit l'Éternel: Si tu te retournes, je te ramènerai, tu te tiendras devant moi; et si tu sépares ce qui est précieux de ce qui est vil, tu seras comme ma bouche. Qu'ils reviennent vers toi, mais toi ne retourne pas vers eux. | Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them. | Perciò così dice l'Eterno: Se tu ritorni a me, io ti ristabilirò e tu starai davanti a me. Se tu separi il prezioso dal vile, tu sarai come la mia bocca; essi ritorneranno a te, ma tu non devi tornare a loro. |
| 20 | Et je te ferai être à l'égard de ce peuple une muraille d'airain forte; ils combattront contre toi, mais ils ne prévaudront pas sur toi; car je suis avec toi pour te sauver et pour te délivrer, dit l'Éternel; | And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD. | Io ti renderò per questo popolo un forte muro di bronzo; combatteranno contro di te, ma non potranno vincerti, perché io sarò con te per salvarti e per liberarti, dice l'Eterno. |
| 21 | et je te délivrerai de la main des iniques et te rachèterai de la main des violents. | And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible. | Ti libererò dalla mano dei malvagi e ti riscatterò dalla mano dei violenti. |
