| 7 | Éternel! si nos iniquités rendent témoignage contre nous, agis à cause de ton nom; car nos infidélités sont multipliées, nous avons péché contre toi. | Though our iniquities testify against us, work thou for thy name`s sake, O Jehovah; for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee. | Anche se le nostre iniquità testimoniano contro di noi, o Eterno, opera per amore del tuo nome, perché le nostre ribellioni sono molte; abbiamo peccato contro di te. |
| 8 | Attente d'Israël, celui qui le sauve au temps de la détresse! pourquoi serais-tu comme un étranger dans le pays, comme un voyageur qui se détourne pour passer la nuit? | O thou hope of Israel, the Saviour thereof in the time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a sojourner in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night? | O speranza d'Israele, suo salvatore in tempo di calamità, perché saresti nel paese come un forestiero, come un viandante che si ferma solo per passare la notte? |
| 9 | Pourquoi serais-tu comme un homme stupéfait, comme un homme fort qui ne peut sauver? toutefois tu es au milieu de nous, ô Éternel, et nous sommes appelés de ton nom; ne nous délaisse pas! | Why shouldest thou be as a man affrighted, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O Jehovah, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not. | Perché saresti come un uomo sbigottito, come un forte che non può salvare? Eppure tu sei in mezzo a noi, o Eterno e il tuo nome è invocato su di noi. Non abbandonarci! |
| 10 | Ainsi dit l'Éternel à ce peuple: C'est ainsi qu'ils ont aimé à aller çà et là, ils n'ont pas retenu leurs pieds; et l'Éternel ne prend point plaisir en eux: maintenant il se souviendra de leurs iniquités et il visitera leurs péchés. | Thus saith Jehovah unto this people, Even so have they loved to wander; they have not refrained their feet: therefore Jehovah doth not accept them; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins. | Così dice l'Eterno a questo popolo: A loro piace veramente girovagare; non trattengono i loro passi. Perciò l'Eterno non li gradisce; ora ricorda la loro iniquità e punisce i loro peccati. |
| 11 | Et l'Éternel me dit: Ne prie pas pour ce peuple pour leur bien. | And Jehovah said unto me, Pray not for this people for [their] good. | L'Eterno quindi mi disse: Non pregare per questo popolo, per il suo benessere. |
| 12 | S'ils jeûnent, je n'écouterai pas leur cri, et s'ils offrent un holocauste et une offrande de gâteau, je ne les agréerai pas; car je les consumerai par l'épée, et par la famine, et par la peste. | When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt-offering and meal-offering, I will not accept them; but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence. | Anche se digiunano non ascolterò il loro grido; se fanno olocausti e offerte di cibo non li gradirò; ma li sterminerò con la spada, con la fame e con la peste. |
| 13 | Et je dis: Ah, Seigneur Éternel! voici, les prophètes leur disent: Vous ne verrez pas l'épée, et la famine ne viendra pas sur vous; car je vous donnerai une vraie paix en ce lieu-ci. | Then said I, Ah, Lord Jehovah! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place. | Allora dissi: Ah, Signore, Eterno! Ecco, i profeti dicono loro: "Voi non vedrete la spada né soffrirete la fame, ma io vi darò una pace sicura in questo luogo. |
| 14 | Et l'Éternel me dit: Les prophètes prophétisent le mensonge en mon nom; je ne le ai pas envoyés, et je ne leur ai pas commandé, et je ne leur ai pas parlé; ils vous prophétisent une vision de mensonge, et la divination, et la vanité, et la tromperie de leur coeur. | Then Jehovah said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name; I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake I unto them: they prophesy unto you a lying vision, and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their own heart. | L'Eterno mi disse: I profeti profetizzano menzogne nel mio nome; io non li ho mandati, non ho dato loro alcun ordine e non ho parlato loro. Essi vi profetizzano una visione falsa, una divinazione vana e l'inganno del loro cuore. |
| 15 | C'est pourquoi, ainsi dit l'Éternel au sujet des prophètes qui prophétisent en mon nom, et que je n'ai point envoyés, et qui disent: L'épée et la famine ne seront pas dans ce pays: ces prophètes-là seront consumés par l'épée et par la famine. | Therefore thus saith Jehovah concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land: By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed. | Perciò così dice l'Eterno riguardo ai profeti che profetizzano nel mio nome senza che io li abbia mandati, e dicono: "Non ci sarà né spada né fame in questo paese" quei profeti saranno consumati dalla spada e dalla fame. |
| 16 | Et le peuple auquel ils prophétisent sera jeté dans les rues de Jérusalem à cause de la famine et de l'épée, et il n'y aura personne pour les enterrer, eux, leurs femmes, et leurs fils, et leurs filles; et je verserai sur eux leur iniquité. | And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them-them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them. | Quanto poi al popolo al quale essi hanno profetizzato, sarà gettato nelle vie di Gerusalemme a motivo della fame e della spada, e non vi sarà nessuno che li seppellisca, essi, le loro mogli, i loro figli e le loro figlie. Così riverserò su di loro la loro malvagità. |
| 17 | Et tu leur diras cette parole: Que mes yeux se fondent en larmes, nuit et jour, et qu'ils ne cessent pas, car la vierge, fille de mon peuple, est ruinée d'une grande ruine, d'un coup très-douloureux. | And thou shalt say this word unto them, Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease; for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous wound. | Di' loro dunque questa parola: Versino lacrime i miei occhi giorno e notte senza smettere, perché la vergine figlia del mio popolo è stata colpita da una grande calamità, da una ferita profonda. |
| 18 | Si je sors aux champs, voici des gens tués par l'épée, et si j'entre dans la ville, voici des gens alanguis par la faim; car prophète et sacrificateur s'en iront dans un pays qu'ils ne connaissent pas. | If I go forth into the field, then, behold, the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then, behold, they that are sick with famine! for both the prophet and the priest go about in the land, and have no knowledge. | Se esco per i campi, ecco gli uccisi per la spada; se entro in città, ecco quelli che languiscono per la fame. Perfino il profeta e il sacerdote si aggirano per un paese che non conoscono. |
| 19 | Aurais-tu entièrement rejeté Juda? Ton âme serait-elle dégoûtée de Sion? Pourquoi nous as-tu frappés sans qu'il y ait de guérison pour nous? On attendait la paix, et il n'y a rien de bon, - et le temps de la guérison, et voici l'épouvante. | Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul loathed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of healing, and, behold, dismay! | Hai forse rigettato completamente Giuda, o ti sei disgustato di Sion? Hai colpito e non c'è guarigione per noi? Noi aspettavamo la pace, ma non c'è alcun bene, un tempo di guarigione, ma ecco il terrore. |
| 20 | Nous reconnaissons, ô Éternel! notre méchanceté, l'iniquité de nos pères; car nous avons péché contre toi. | We acknowledge, O Jehovah, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers; for we have sinned against thee. | O Eterno, noi riconosciamo la nostra malvagità e l'iniquità dei nostri padri, sì, abbiamo peccato contro di te. |
| 21 | A cause de ton nom, ne nous dédaigne point, n'avilis pas le trône de ta gloire; souviens-toi, ne romps pas ton alliance avec nous. | Do not abhor [us], for thy name`s sake; do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us. | Non rigettarci per amore del tuo nome, non disonorare il trono della tua gloria. Ricordati: non rompere il tuo patto con noi. |
| 22 | Parmi les vanités des nations, en est-il qui donnent la pluie? ou les cieux donnent-ils des ondées? N'est-ce pas toi, Éternel! notre Dieu? Et nous nous attendons à toi; car c'est toi qui as fait toutes ces choses. | Are there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O Jehovah our God? therefore we will wait for thee; for thou hast made all these things. | Fra gli idoli vani delle genti ce n'è forse qualcuno che può far piovere? O può il cielo dare acquazzoni? Non sei invece tu, o Eterno, il nostro DIO? Perciò noi speriamo in te, perché tu hai fatto tutte queste cose. |
