| 10 | Et Jésus dit: Faites asseoir les gens (or il y avait beaucoup d'herbe en ce lieu-là). Les hommes donc s'assirent, au nombre d'environ cinq mille. | And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them. | E, montati in barca, si diressero all'altra riva del mare, verso Capernaum; era ormai buio e Gesù non era ancora venuto da loro. |
| 18 | Et la mer s'élevait par un grand vent qui soufflait. | And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew. | Il mare era agitato, perché soffiava un forte vento. |
| 19 | Ayant donc ramé environ vingt-cinq ou trente stades, ils voient Jésus marchant sur la mer et s'approchant de la nacelle; et ils furent saisis de peur. | So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid. | Ora, dopo aver remato circa venticinque o trenta stadi, videro Gesù che camminava sul mare e si accostava alla barca, ed ebbero paura. |

| 22 | Le lendemain, la foule qui était de l'autre côté de la mer, voyant qu'il n'y avait point là d'autre petite nacelle que celle là sur laquelle ses disciples étaient montés, et que Jésus n'était pas entré avec ses disciples dans la nacelle, mais que ses disciples s'en étaient allés seuls | The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone; | Il giorno seguente la folla, che era rimasta sull'altra riva del mare, si rese conto che là non c'era che una piccola barca, quella in cui erano saliti i discepoli di Gesù, e che egli non vi era salito con loro, ma che i suoi discepoli erano partiti soli; |

| 26 | Jésus leur répondit et dit: En vérité, en vérité, je vous dis: Vous me cherchez, non parce que vous avez vu des miracles, mais parce que vous avez mangé des pains et que vous avez été rassasiés. | Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. | Gesù rispose loro e disse: In verità, in verità vi dico che voi mi cercate non perché avete visto segni, ma perché avete mangiato dei pani e siete stati saziati. |

Quelle oeuvre fais-tu? | They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work? | Allora essi gli dissero: Quale segno fai tu dunque, affinché lo vediamo e ti crediamo? Che opera compi? |
| 31 | Nos pères ont mangé la manne au désert, ainsi qu'il est écrit: "Il leur a donné à manger du pain venant du ciel". | Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. | I nostri padri mangiarono la manna nel deserto, come è scritto: "Egli diede loro da mangiare del pane venuto dal cielo". |
| 32 | Jésus donc leur dit: En vérité, en vérité, je vous dis: Moïse ne vous a pas donné le pain qui vient du ciel, mais mon Père vous donne le véritable pain qui vient du ciel. | Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. | Allora Gesù disse loro: In verità, in verità vi dico che non Mosè vi ha dato il pane che viene dal cielo, ma il Padre mio vi dà il vero pane che viene dal cielo. |

| 39 | Or c'est ici la volonté de celui qui m'a envoyé: que je ne perde rien de tout ce qu'il m'a donné, mais que je le ressuscite au dernier jour. | And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. | e' questa la volontà del Padre che mi ha mandato: che io non perda niente di tutto quello che egli mi ha dato, ma che lo risusciti nell'ultimo giorno. |

Come può egli dire: Io sono disceso dal cielo"?. |
