| 7 | Le malade lui répondit: Seigneur, je n'ai personne qui, lorsque l'eau a été agitée, me jette dans le réservoir; et, pendant que moi je viens, un autre descend avant moi. | The sick man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. | l'infermo gli rispose: Signore, io non ho nessuno che mi metta nella piscina quando l'acqua è agitata, e, mentre io vado, un altro vi scende prima di me. |

| 10 | Les Juifs donc dirent à celui qui avait été guéri: C'est un jour de sabbat; il ne t'est pas permis de prendre ton petit lit. | So the Jews said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath, and it is not lawful for thee to take up thy bed. | I Giudei perciò dissero a colui che era stato guarito: sabato; non ti è lecito portare il tuo lettuccio. |

| 13 | Mais celui qui avait été guéri ne savait pas qui c'était; car Jésus s'était retiré de là, une foule se trouvant dans ce lieu. | But he that was healed knew not who it was; for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in the place. | Ma colui che era stato guarito non sapeva chi egli fosse, perché Gesù si era allontanato a motivo della folla che era in quel luogo. |
| 14 | Après ces choses, Jésus le trouva dans le temple, et lui dit: Voici, tu es guéri; ne pèche plus, de peur que pis ne t'arrive. | Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing befall thee. | Più tardi Gesù lo trovò nel tempio e gli disse: Ecco, tu sei stato guarito; non peccare più affinché non ti avvenga di peggio. |

| 16 | à cause de cela les Juifs persécutaient Jésus et cherchaient à le faire mourir, parce qu'il avait fait ces choses en un jour de sabbat. | And for this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the sabbath. | Per questo i Giudei perseguitavano Gesù e cercavano di ucciderlo, perché faceva queste cose di sabato. |
| 17 | Mais Jésus leur répondit: Mon Père travaille jusqu'à maintenant, et moi je travaille. | But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh even until now, and I work. | Ma Gesù rispose loro: Il Padre mio opera fino ad ora, e anch'io opero. |
| 18 | A cause de cela donc les Juifs cherchaient d'autant plus à le faire mourir, parce que non-seulement il violait le sabbat, mais aussi parce qu'il disait que Dieu était son propre Père, se faisant égal à Dieu. | For this cause therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only brake the sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God. | Per questo i Giudei cercavano ancor più di ucciderlo, perché non solo violava il sabato, ma addirittura chiamava Dio suo Padre, facendosi uguale a Dio. |
| 19 | Jésus donc répondit et leur dit: En vérité, en vérité, je vous dis: Le Fils ne peut rien faire de lui-même, à moins qu'il ne voie faire une chose au Père, car quelque chose que celui-ci fasse, cela, le Fils aussi de même le fait. | Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner. | Allora Gesù rispose e disse loro: In verità, in verità vi dico che il Figlio non può far nulla da se stesso, se non quello che vede fare dal Padre; le cose infatti che fa il Padre, le fa ugualmente anche il Figlio. |
| 20 | Car le Père aime le Fils, et lui montre toutes les choses qu'il fait lui-même, et il lui montrera des oeuvres plus grandes que celles-ci, afin que vous soyez dans l'admiration. | For the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things that himself doeth: and greater works than these will he show him, that ye may marvel. | Poiché il Padre ama il Figlio e gli mostra tutte le cose che egli fa; e gli mostrerà opere più grandi di queste, affinché voi ne siate meravigliati. |
| 21 | Car comme le Père réveille les morts et les vivifie, de même aussi le Fils vivifie ceux qu'il veut; | For as the Father raiseth the dead and giveth them life, even so the Son also giveth life to whom he will. | Infatti come il Padre risuscita i morti e dà loro la vita, così anche il Figlio dà la vita a chi vuole. |
| 22 | car aussi le Père ne juge personne, mais il a donné tout le jugement au Fils; | For neither doth the Father judge any man, but he hath given all judgment unto the Son; | Poiché il Padre non giudica nessuno, ma ha dato tutto il giudizio al Figlio, |
| 23 | afin que tous honorent le Fils comme ils honorent le Père. Celui qui n'honore pas le Fils, n'honore pas le Père qui l'a envoyé. | that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father that sent him. | affinché tutti onorino il Figlio come onorano il Padre, chi non onora il Figlio, non onora il Padre che lo ha mandato. |
| 24 | En vérité, en vérité, je vous dis que celui qui entend ma parole, et qui croit celui qui m'a envoyé, a la vie éternelle et ne vient pas en jugement; mais il est passé de la mort à la vie. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath eternal life, and cometh not into judgment, but hath passed out of death into life. | In verità, in verità vi dico: Chi ascolta la mia parola e crede a colui che mi ha mandato, ha vita eterna, e non viene in giudizio, ma è passato dalla morte alla vita. |
| 25 | En vérité, en vérité, je vous dis que l'heure vient, et elle est maintenant, que les morts entendront la voix du Fils de Dieu, et ceux qui l'auront entendue vivront. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour cometh, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live. | In verità, in verità vi dico: l'ora viene, anzi è venuta, che i morti udranno la voce del Figlio di Dio, e coloro che l'avranno udita vivranno. |
| 26 | Car comme le Père a la vie en lui-même, ainsi il a donné au Fils aussi d'avoir la vie en lui-même; | For as the Father hath life in himself, even so gave he to the Son also to have life in himself: | Poiché, come il Padre ha vita in se stesso, così ha dato anche al Figlio di avere vita in se stesso; |
| 27 | et il lui a donné autorité de juger aussi, parce qu'il est fils de l'homme. | and he gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is a son of man. | e gli ha anche dato l'autorità di giudicare, perché è il Figlio dell'uomo. |
| 28 | Ne vous étonnez pas de cela; car l'heure vient en laquelle tous ceux qui sont dans les sépulcres entendront sa voix; | Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear his voice, | Non vi meravigliate di questo, perché l'ora viene, in cui tutti coloro che sono nei sepolcri udranno la sua voce |
| 29 | et ils sortiront, ceux qui auront pratiqué le bien, en résurrection de vie; et ceux qui auront fait le mal, en résurrection de jugement. | and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment. | e ne usciranno, quelli che hanno fatto il bene in risurrezione di vita, e quelli che hanno fatto il male in risurrezione di condanna. |
| 30 | Je ne puis rien faire, moi, de moi-même; je juge selon ce que j'entends, et mon jugement est juste; car je ne cherche pas ma volonté, mais la volonté de celui qui m'a envoyé. | I can of myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is righteous; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. | Io non posso far nulla da me stesso; giudico secondo ciò che odo e il mio giudizio è giusto, perché non cerco la mia volontà, ma la volontà del Padre che mi ha mandato. |
| 31 | Si moi je rends témoignage de moi-même, mon témoignage n'est pas vrai. | If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. | Se io testimonio di me stesso, la mia testimonianza non è verace. |
| 32 | C'est un autre qui rend témoignage de moi; et je sais que le témoignage qu'il rend de moi est vrai. | It is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true. | Vi è un altro che rende testimonianza di me, e io so che la testimonianza che egli rende di me è verace. |

| 35 | Celui-là était la lampe ardente et brillante; et vous, vous avez voulu vous réjouir pour un temps à sa lumière; | He was the lamp that burneth and shineth; and ye were willing to rejoice for a season in his light. | Egli era una lampada ardente e lucente; e voi avete voluto gioire per breve tempo alla sua luce. |
| 36 | mais moi, j'ai un témoignage plus grand que celui de Jean; car les oeuvres que le Père m'a données pour les accomplir, ces oeuvres mêmes que je fais rendent témoignage de moi, que le Père m'a envoyé. | But the witness which I have is greater than [that of] John; for the works which the Father hath given me to accomplish, the very works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. | Ma la testimonianza che io ho è maggiore di quella di Giovanni, poiché le opere che il Padre mi ha dato da compiere, quelle opere che io faccio testimoniano di me, che il Padre mi ha mandato. |

| 38 | et vous n'avez pas sa parole demeurant en vous; car celui-là que lui a envoyé, vous, vous ne le croyez pas. | And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he sent, him ye believe not. | e non avete la sua parola che dimora in voi, perché non credete in colui che egli ha mandato. |
| 39 | Sondez les écritures, car vous, vous estimez avoir en elles la vie éternelle, et ce sont elles qui rendent témoignage de moi: | Ye search the scriptures, because ye think that in them ye have eternal life; and these are they which bear witness of me; | Voi investigate le Scritture, perché pensate di aver per mezzo di esse vita eterna; ed esse sono quelle che testimoniano di me. |

| 42 | mais je vous connais, et je sais que vous n'avez pas l'amour de Dieu en vous. | But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in yourselves. | Ma io vi conosco, che non avete l'amore di Dio in voi. |
| 43 | Moi, je suis venu au nom de mon Père, et vous ne me recevez pas; si un autre vient en son propre nom, celui-là vous le recevrez. | I am come in my Father`s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. | Io sono venuto nel nome del Padre mio e voi non mi ricevete; se un altro venisse nel suo proprio nome, voi lo ricevereste. |
| 44 | Comment pouvez-vous croire, vous qui recevez de la gloire l'un de l'autre et qui ne cherchez pas la gloire qui vient de Dieu seul? | How can ye believe, who receive glory one of another, and the glory that [cometh] from the only God ye seek not? | Come potete voi credere, voi che prendete gloria gli uni dagli altri e non cercate la gloria che viene da Dio solo? |
| 45 | Ne pensez pas que moi, je vous accuserai devant le Père; il y en a un qui vous accuse, Moïse en qui vous espérez. | Think not that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, [even] Moses, on whom ye have set your hope. | Non pensate che io vi accusi presso il Padre, c'è chi vi accusa, Mosè, nel quale avete riposto la vostra speranza; |
| 46 | Car si vous croyiez Moïse, vous me croiriez aussi; | For if ye believed Moses, ye would believe me; for he wrote of me. | infatti se voi credeste a Mosè, credereste anche a me, perché egli ha scritto di me. |
| 47 | car lui a écrit de moi. Mais si vous ne croyez pas ses écrits, comment croirez-vous mes paroles? | But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? | Ma se non credete ai suoi scritti, come crederete alle mie parole?. |
