Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. | C'est pourquoi le disciple que Jésus aimait, dit à Pierre: C'est le Seigneur! | 17 | He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. | Il lui dit pour la troisième fois: Simon, fils de Jona, m'aimes-tu? | 18 | Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. | En vérité, en vérité je te le dis; lorsque tu étais plus jeune, tu te ceignais toi-même, et tu allais où tu voulais; mais lorsque tu seras vieux, tu étendras tes mains, et un autre te ceindra, et te mènera où tu ne voudrais pas. | In verità, in verità ti dico che, quando eri giovane, ti cingevi da te e andavi dove volevi, ma quando sarai vecchio, stenderai le tue mani e un altro ti cingerà e ti condurrà là dove tu non vorresti. |

| 21 | Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? | Pierre donc l'ayant vu, dit à Jésus: Seigneur, et celui-ci, que lui arrivera-t-il? | Al vederlo, Pietro disse a Gesù: Signore, e di costui che ne sarà?. |
| 22 | Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. | Jésus lui dit: Si je veux qu'il demeure jusqu'à ce que je vienne, que t'importe? Toi, suis-moi. | Gesù gli rispose: Se voglio che lui rimanga finché io venga, che te ne importa? Tu seguimi!. |
| 23 | Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? | Le bruit se répandit donc parmi les frères, que ce disciple ne mourrait point. Cependant Jésus ne lui avait pas dit: Il ne mourra point; mais: Si je veux qu'il demeure jusqu'à ce que je vienne, que t'importe? | Si sparse allora la voce tra i fratelli che quel discepolo non sarebbe morto; ma Gesù non aveva detto a Pietro che egli non sarebbe morto, ma: Se io voglio che lui rimanga finché io venga, che te ne importa?. |
| 24 | This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true. | C'est ce disciple qui rend témoignage de ces choses, et qui les a écrites; et nous savons que son témoignage est véritable. | Questo è il discepolo che rende testimonianza di queste cose e che ha scritto queste cose; e noi sappiamo che la sua testimonianza è verace. |
| 25 | And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.
