Ma la tunica era senza cuciture, tessuta d'un sol pezzo da cima a fondo. |

| 29 | Ils emplirent donc de vinaigre une éponge, et l'ayant mise autour d'une tige d'hysope, ils la lui présentèrent à la bouche. | There was set there a vessel full of vinegar: so they put a sponge full of the vinegar upon hyssop, and brought it to his mouth. | Or c'era là un vaso pieno d'aceto. Inzuppata dunque una spugna nell'aceto e postala in cima ad un ramo d'issopo gliela accostarono alla bocca. |
| 30 | Et quand Jésus eut pris le vinaigre, il dit: Tout est accompli. Et ayant baissé la tête, il rendit l'esprit. | When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit. | Quando Gesù ebbe preso l'aceto disse: e' compiuto. E, chinato il capo, rese lo spirito. |
| 31 | Or, les Juifs, de peur que les corps ne demeurassent sur la croix le jour du sabbat (car c'était la préparation, et ce sabbat était un grand jour), demandèrent à Pilate qu'on rompît les jambes aux crucifiés, et qu'on les enlevât. | The Jews therefore, because it was the Preparation, that the bodies should not remain on the cross upon the sabbath (for the day of that sabbath was a high [day]), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and [that] they might be taken away. | Or i Giudei, essendo il giorno di Preparazione, affinché i corpi non rimanessero sulla croce il sabato, perché quel sabato era un giorno di particolare importanza, chiesero a Pilato che fossero loro spezzate le gambe e fossero portati via. |

| 34 | Toutefois un des soldats lui perça le côté avec une lance, et aussitôt il en sortit du sang et de l'eau. | howbeit one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and straightway there came out blood and water. | ma uno dei soldati gli trafisse il costato con una lancia, e subito ne uscì sangue ed acqua. |
| 35 | Et celui qui l'a vu en a rendu témoignage (et son témoignage est véritable, et il sait qu'il dit vrai), afin que vous croyiez. | And he that hath seen hath borne witness, and his witness is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye also may believe. | E colui che ha visto ne ha reso testimonianza e la sua testimonianza è verace, ed egli sa che dice il vero, affinché voi crediate. |
| 36 | Or, cela arriva, afin que l'Écriture fût accomplie: Ses os ne seront pas rompus. | For these things came to pass, that the scripture might be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. | Queste cose infatti sono accadute affinché si adempisse la Scrittura: Non gli sarà spezzato alcun osso. |

| 38 | Après cela, Joseph d'Arimathée, qui était disciple de Jésus, mais en secret par crainte des Juifs, demanda à Pilate de pouvoir ôter le corps de Jésus, et Pilate le lui permit. Il vint donc et ôta le corps de Jésus. | And after these things Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked of Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave [him] leave. He came therefore, and took away his body. | Dopo queste cose, Giuseppe d'Arimatea che era discepolo di Gesù, ma di nascosto per timore dei Giudei, chiese a Pilato di poter prendere il corpo di Gesù; e Pilato glielo permise. Egli dunque venne e prese il corpo di Gesù. |
