| 4 | Mais je vous ai dit ces choses, afin que quand l'heure sera venue, il vous souvienne que je vous les ai dites; et je ne vous ai point dit ces choses dès le commencement, parce que j'étais avec vous. | But these things have I spoken unto you, that when their hour is come, ye may remember them, how that I told you. And these things I said not unto you from the beginning, because I was with you. | Ma vi ho detto queste cose affinché quando sia giunto il momento, vi ricordiate che io ve le avevo dette; or da principio non vi dissi queste cose, perché ero con voi. |
| 5 | Mais maintenant je m'en vais à celui qui m'a envoyé, et aucun de vous ne me demande: où vas-tu? | But now I go unto him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? | Ma ora vado da colui che mi ha mandato, e nessun di voi mi domanda: "Dove vai?". |
| 6 | Mais parce que je vous ai dit ces choses, la tristesse a rempli votre coeur. | But because I have spoken these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. | Anzi, perché vi ho detto queste cose, la tristezza ha riempito il vostro cuore. |
| 7 | Toutefois je vous dis la vérité, il vous est avantageux que je m'en aille, car si je ne m'en vais, le Consolateur ne viendra point à vous; mais si je m'en vais, je vous l'enverrai. | Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you. | Tuttavia io vi dico la verità: è bene per voi che io me ne vada, perché se non me ne vado, non verrà a voi il Consolatore; ma se me ne vado, io ve lo manderò. |
| 8 | Et quand il sera venu, il convaincra le monde de péché, de justice, et de jugement. | And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: | E quando sarà venuto, egli convincerà il mondo di peccato, di giustizia e di giudizio. |

| 11 | De jugement, parce que le Prince de ce monde est déjà jugé. | of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged. | di giudizio, perché il principe di questo mondo è stato giudicato. |
| 12 | J'ai à vous dire encore plusieurs choses, mais elles sont encore au-dessus de votre portée. | I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. | Ho ancora molte cose da dirvi, ma non sono ancora alla vostra portata. |
| 13 | Mais quand celui-là, savoir l'Esprit de vérité, sera venu, il vous conduira en toute vérité; car il ne parlera point de soi-même, mais il dira tout ce qu'il aura ouï, et il vous annoncera les choses à venir. | Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, [these] shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come. | Ma quando verrà lui, lo Spirito di verità, egli vi guiderà in ogni verità, perché non parlerà da se stesso, ma dirà tutte le cose che ha udito e vi annunzierà le cose a venire. |

| 15 | Tout ce que mon Père a, est mien; c'est pourquoi j'ai dit, qu'il prendra du mien, et qu'il vous l'annoncera. | All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall declare [it] unto you. | Tutte le cose che il Padre ha sono mie, per questo ho detto che egli prenderà del mio e ve lo annunzierà. |
| 16 | Dans peu de temps, vous ne me verrez point; et après un peu de temps, vous me verrez: car je m'en vais à mon Père. | A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me. | Fra poco non mi vedrete più; e un altro poco e mi vedrete, perché me ne vado al Padre. |
| 17 | Et quelques-uns de ses Disciples dirent entre eux: qu'est-ce qu'il nous dit: dans peu de temps, vous ne me verrez point; et un peu de temps après vous me verrez, car je m'en vais à mon Père? | [Some] of his disciples therefore said one to another, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye behold me not; and again a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father? | Allora alcuni dei suoi discepoli dissero fra di loro: Che cosa è questo che egli ci dice: "Fra poco non mi vedrete più" e: "Un altro poco e mi vedrete": "Perché me ne vado al Padre"?. |

| 19 | Et Jésus connaissant qu'ils le voulaient interroger, leur dit: vous demandez entre vous touchant ce que j'ai dit: dans peu de temps, vous ne me verrez plus, et un peu de temps après vous me verrez. | Jesus perceived that they were desirous to ask him, and he said unto them, Do ye inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, A little while, and ye behold me not, and again a little while, and ye shall see me? | Gesù dunque comprese che lo volevano interrogare e disse loro: Vi domandate l'un l'altro perché ho detto: "Fra poco non mi vedrete più" e: "Un altro poco e mi vedrete"? |
| 20 | En vérité, en vérité je vous dis, que vous pleurerez et vous vous lamenterez, et le monde se réjouira; vous serez, dis-je, attristés; mais votre tristesse sera changée en joie. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. | In verità, in verità vi dico: voi piangerete e farete cordoglio, e il mondo si rallegrerà. | 23 | Et en ce jour-là vous ne m'interrogerez de rien. En vérité, en vérité je vous dis, que toutes les choses que vous demanderez au Père en mon Nom, il vous les donnera. | And in that day ye shall ask me no question. Verily, verily, I say unto you, if ye shall ask anything of the Father, he will give it you in my name. | In quel giorno non mi farete più alcuna domanda. In verità, in verità vi dico che tutto ciò che domanderete al Padre nel mio nome, egli ve lo darà. |
| 24 | Jusqu'à présent vous n'avez rien demandé en mon Nom; demandez, et vous recevrez, afin que votre joie soit parfaite. | Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be made full. | Finora non avete chiesto nulla nel mio nome; chiedete e riceverete, affinché la vostra gioia sia completa. |
| 25 | Je vous ai dit ces choses par des similitudes, mais l'heure vient que je ne vous parlerai plus par des paraboles; mais je vous parlerai ouvertement de mon Père. | These things have I spoken unto you in dark sayings: the hour cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in dark sayings, but shall tell you plainly of the Father. | Vi ho detto queste cose in similitudini, ma l'ora viene in cui non vi parlerò più in similitudini, ma vi parlerò del Padre apertamente. |
| 26 | En ce jour-là vous demanderez des grâces en mon Nom, et je ne vous dis pas que je prierai le Père pour vous; | In that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you; | In quel giorno chiederete nel mio nome; e non vi dico che io pregherò il Padre per voi; |
| 27 | Car le Père lui-même vous aime, parce que vous m'avez aimé, et que vous avez cru, que je suis issu de Dieu. | for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father. | il Padre stesso infatti vi ama, poiché voi mi avete amato e avete creduto che io sono proceduto da Dio. |

| 30 | Maintenant nous connaissons que tu sais toutes choses, et que tu n'as pas besoin que personne t'interroge; à cause de cela nous croyons que tu es issu de Dieu. | Now know we that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God. | Ora conosciamo che sai tutto e non hai bisogno che qualcuno ti interroghi; per questo crediamo che sei proceduto da Dio. |
| 31 | Jésus leur répondit: croyez vous maintenant? | Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? | Gesù rispose loro: Credete ora? |
| 32 | Voici, l'heure vient, et elle est déjà venue, que vous serez dispersés chacun de son côté, et vous me laisserez seul; mais je ne suis point seul, car le Père est avec moi. | Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and [yet] I am not alone, because the Father is with me. | Ecco l'ora viene, anzi è già venuta, in cui sarete dispersi, ciascuno per conto suo, e mi lascerete solo, ma io non sono solo, perché il Padre è con me. |
| 33 | Je vous ai dit ces choses afin que vous ayez la paix en moi; vous aurez de l'angoisse au monde, mais ayez bon courage, j'ai vaincu le monde. | These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. | Vi ho detto queste cose, affinché abbiate pace in me; nel mondo avrete tribolazione, ma fatevi coraggio, io ho vinto il mondo. |
