| 2 | Il y a plusieurs demeures dans la maison de mon Père. Si cela n'était pas, je vous l'aurais dit. Je vais vous préparer une place. | In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. |
| 3 | Et, lorsque je m'en serai allé, et que je vous aurai préparé une place, je reviendrai, et je vous prendrai avec moi, afin que là où je suis vous y soyez aussi. | And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. |
| 4 | Vous savez où je vais, et vous en savez le chemin. | And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. |
| 5 | Thomas lui dit : Seigneur, nous ne savons où tu vas ; comment pouvons-nous en savoir le chemin ? | Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? |
| 6 | Jésus lui dit : Je suis le chemin, la vérité, et la vie. Nul ne vient au Père que par moi. | Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. |
| 7 | Si vous me connaissiez, vous connaîtriez aussi mon Père. Et dès maintenant vous le connaissez, et vous l'avez vu. | If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. |
| 8 | Philippe lui dit : Seigneur, montre-nous le Père, et cela nous suffit. | Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. |

Celui qui m'a vu a vu le Père ; comment dis-tu : Montre-nous le Père ? | Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? |

Les paroles que je vous dis, je ne les dis pas de moi-même ; et le Père qui demeure en moi, c'est lui qui fait les oeuvres. | Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. |

| 13 | et tout ce que vous demanderez en mon nom, je le ferai, afin que le Père soit glorifié dans le Fils. | And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. |
| 14 | Si vous demandez quelque chose en mon nom, je le ferai. | If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. |
| 15 | Si vous m'aimez, gardez mes commandements. | If ye love me, keep my commandments. |
| 16 | Et moi, je prierai le Père, et il vous donnera un autre consolateur, afin qu'il demeure éternellement avec vous, | And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; |
| 17 | l'Esprit de vérité, que le monde ne peut recevoir, parce qu'il ne le voit point et ne le connaît point ; mais vous, vous le connaissez, car il demeure avec vous, et il sera en vous. | Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. |
| 18 | Je ne vous laisserai pas orphelins, je viendrai à vous. | I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. |
| 19 | Encore un peu de temps, et le monde ne me verra plus ; mais vous, vous me verrez, car je vis, et vous vivrez aussi. | Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. |
| 20 | En ce jour-là, vous connaîtrez que je suis en mon Père, que vous êtes en moi, et que je suis en vous. | At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. |
| 21 | Celui qui a mes commandements et qui les garde, c'est celui qui m'aime ; et celui qui m'aime sera aimé de mon Père, je l'aimerai, et je me ferai connaître à lui. | He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. |

| 24 | Celui qui ne m'aime pas ne garde point mes paroles. Et la parole que vous entendez n'est pas de moi, mais du Père qui m'a envoyé. | He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. |
| 25 | Je vous ai dit ces choses pendant que je demeure avec vous. | These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. |
| 26 | Mais le consolateur, l'Esprit Saint, que le Père enverra en mon nom, vous enseignera toutes choses, et vous rappellera tout ce que je vous ai dit. | But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. |
| 27 | Je vous laisse la paix, je vous donne ma paix. Je ne vous donne pas comme le monde donne. Que votre coeur ne se trouble point, et ne s'alarme point. | Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. |

Si vous m'aimiez, vous vous réjouiriez de ce que je vais au Père ; car le Père est plus grand que moi. | Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. |
| 29 | Et maintenant je vous ai dit ces choses avant qu'elles arrivent, afin que, lorsqu'elles arriveront, vous croyiez. | And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. |
| 30 | Je ne parlerai plus guère avec vous ; car le prince du monde vient. Il n'a rien en moi ; | Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. |
| 31 | mais afin que le monde sache que j'aime le Père, et que j'agis selon l'ordre que le Père m'a donné, levez-vous, partons d'ici. | But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence. |
