| 3 | And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. | E quando sarò andato e vi avrò preparato il posto, ritornerò e vi accoglierò presso di me, affinché dove sono io siate anche voi. |

| 5 | Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? | Tommaso gli disse: Signore, noi non sappiamo dove vai; come dunque possiamo conoscere la via? |
| 6 | Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. | Gesù gli disse: Io sono la via, la verità e la vita; nessuno viene al Padre se non per mezzo di me. |
| 7 | If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. | Se mi aveste conosciuto, avreste conosciuto anche mio Padre; fin da ora lo conoscete e l'avete visto. |
| 8 | Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. | Filippo gli disse: Signore, mostraci il Padre e ci basta. |
| 9 | Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? | Gesù gli disse: Da tanto tempo io sono con voi e tu non mi hai ancora conosciuto, Filippo? Chi ha visto me, ha visto il Padre; come mai dici: "Mostraci il Padre?" |
| 10 | Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. | Non credi che io sono nel Padre e che il Padre è in me? Le parole che io vi dico, non le dico da me stesso. Il Padre che dimora in me è colui che fa le opere. |
| 11 | Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. | Credetemi che io sono nel Padre e che il Padre è in me, se no, credetemi a motivo delle opere stesse. |
| 12 | Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. | In verità, in verità vi dico: chi crede in me farà anch'egli le opere che io faccio; anzi ne farà di più grandi di queste, perché io vado al Padre. |
| 13 | And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. | E qualunque cosa chiederete nel nome mio la farò, affinché il Padre sia glorificato nel Figlio. |
| 14 | If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. | Se chiedete qualche cosa nel nome mio, io la farò. |
| 15 | If ye love me, keep my commandments. | Se mi amate, osservate i miei comandamenti, |
| 16 | And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; | Ed io pregherò il Padre ed egli vi darà un altro Consolatore, che rimanga con voi per sempre, |
| 17 | Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. | lo Spirito della verità, che il mondo non può ricevere, perché non lo vede e non lo conosce; ma voi lo conoscete, perché dimora con voi e sarà in voi. |
| 18 | I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. | Non vi lascerò orfani; tornerò a voi. |
| 19 | Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. | Ancora un po' di tempo e il mondo non mi vedrà più, ma voi mi vedrete; poiché io vivo, anche voi vivrete. |
| 20 | At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. | In quel giorno conoscerete che io sono nel Padre mio, e che voi siete in me ed Io in voi. |
| 21 | He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. | Chi ha i miei comandamenti e li osserva, è uno che mi ama, e chi mi ama sarà amato dal Padre mio; e io lo amerò e mi manifesterò a lui. |
| 22 | Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? | Giuda, non l'Iscariota, gli disse: Signore, come mai ti manifesterai a noi e non al mondo?. |
| 23 | Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. | Gesù rispose e gli disse: Se uno mi ama, osserverà la mia parola; e il Padre mio l'amerà, e noi verremo a lui e faremo dimora presso di lui. |
| 24 | He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. | Chi non mi ama, non osserva le mie parole; e la parola che udite non è mia, ma del Padre che mi ha mandato. |
| 25 | These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. | Vi ho detto queste cose, mentre ero con voi; |
| 26 | But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. | ma il Consolatore, lo Spirito Santo, che il Padre manderà nel mio nome, vi insegnerà ogni cosa e vi ricorderà tutto ciò che vi ho detto. |
| 27 | Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. | Io vi lascio la pace, vi do la mia pace; io ve la do, non come la dà il mondo; il vostro cuore non sia turbato e non si spaventi. |
| 28 | Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. | Avete udito che vi ho detto: "Io me ne vado e tornerò a voi". Se voi mi amaste, vi rallegrereste perché ho detto: "Io vado al Padre" poiché il Padre è più grande di me. |
| 29 | And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. | E ora ve l'ho detto, prima che avvenga affinché, quando avverrà, crediate. |
| 30 | Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. | Non parlerò più a lungo con voi, perché viene il principe di questo mondo e non ha nulla in me; |
| 31 | But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence. | ma questo accade affinché il mondo conosca che io amo il Padre e che faccio come il Padre mi ha comandato. Alzatevi, andiamo via di qui. |
