| 16 | Or ses disciples ne comprirent pas d'abord ces choses; mais quand Jésus eut été glorifié, alors ils se souvinrent que ces choses étaient écrites de lui et qu'ils avaient fait ces choses à son égard. | These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him. | Or i suoi discepoli non compresero sul momento queste cose, ma quando Gesù fu glorificato, allora si ricordarono che queste cose erano state scritte di lui e che avevano fatte queste cose a lui. |
| 17 | La foule donc qui était avec lui, lui rendait témoignage, parce qu'il avait appelé Lazare hors du sépulcre, et qu'il l'avait ressuscité d'entre les morts. | The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record. | La folla dunque, che era con lui quando aveva chiamato Lazzaro fuori dal sepolcro e l'aveva risuscitato dai morti, gli rendeva testimonianza. |

| 28 | Il vint donc une voix du ciel: Et je l'ai glorifié, et je le glorifierai de nouveau. | Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. | Padre, glorifica il tuo nome!. Allora venne una voce dal cielo: l'ho glorificato e lo glorificherò ancora. |
| 29 | La foule donc qui était là et qui avait entendu, dit qu'un coup de tonnerre avait eu lieu; d'autres disaient: Un ange lui a parlé. | The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. | La folla dunque, che era presente e aveva udito la voce, diceva che era stato un tuono. | 30 | Jésus répondit et dit: Cette voix n'est pas venue pour moi, mais pour vous. | Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. | E Gesù rispose e disse: Questa voce non è venuta per me, ma per voi. |
| 31 | Maintenant est le jugement de ce monde; maintenant le chef de ce monde sera jeté dehors. | Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. | Ora è il giudizio di questo mondo ora sarà cacciato fuori il principe di questo mondo. |
| 32 | Et moi, si je suis élevé de la terre, j'attirerai tous les hommes à moi-même. | And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. | Ed io, quando sarò innalzato dalla terra, attirerò tutti a me. |
| 33 | Or il disait cela pour indiquer de quelle mort il allait mourir. | This he said, signifying what death he should die. | Or egli diceva questo, per indicare di qual morte egli doveva morire. |
| 34 | La foule lui répondit: Nous, nous avons appris de la loi, que le Christ demeure éternellement: et comment, toi, dis-tu qu'il faut que le fils de l'homme soit élevé? Qui est ce fils de l'homme? | The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man? | La folla gli rispose: Noi abbiamo appreso dalla legge che il Cristo rimane in eterno; ora come puoi tu dire che il Figlio dell'uomo deve essere innalzato? Chi è questo Figlio dell'uomo?. |
| 35 | Jésus donc leur dit: Encore pour un peu de temps la lumière est au milieu de vous; marchez pendant que vous avez la lumière, afin que les ténèbres ne s'emparent pas de vous; et celui qui marche dans les ténèbres ne sait où il va. | Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. | Gesù allora disse loro: La luce è con voi ancora per un po'; camminate mentre avete la luce, affinché non vi sorprendano le tenebre; chi cammina nelle tenebre non sa dove va. |
| 36 | Pendant que vous avez la lumière, croyez en la lumière, afin que vous soyez fils de lumière. Jésus dit ces choses, et s'en allant, il se cacha de devant eux. | While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them. | Mentre avete la luce, credete nella luce, affinché diventiate figli di luce. | 37 | Et quoiqu'il eût fait tant de miracles devant eux, ils ne crurent pas en lui; | But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: | Sebbene avesse fatto tanti segni davanti a loro, non credevano in lui, |
| 38 | afin que la parole d'Ésaïe le prophète, qu'il prononça, fût accomplie: "Seigneur, qui est-ce qui a cru à ce qu'il a entendu de nous, et à qui le bras du Seigneur a-t-il été révélé?". | That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? | affinché si adempisse la parola detta dal profeta Isaia: Signore, chi ha creduto alla nostra predicazione? E a chi è stato rivelato il braccio del Signore?. |
| 39 | C'est pourquoi ils ne pouvaient croire, parce qu'Ésaïe dit encore: | Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, | Perciò non potevano credere, perché Isaia disse ancora: |
| 40 | Il a aveuglé leurs yeux et il a endurci leur coeur, afin qu'ils ne voient pas des yeux, et qu'ils n'entendent pas du coeur, et qu'ils ne soient pas convertis, et que je ne les guérisse pas. | He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. | Egli ha accecato i loro occhi e ha indurito il loro cuore, perché non vedano con gli occhi, non intendano col cuore, non si convertano e io non li guarisca. |
| 41 | Ésaïe dit ces choses parce qu'il vit sa gloire et qu'il parla de lui. | These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him. | Queste cose disse Isaia, quando vide la sua gloria e parlò di lui. |
| 42 | Toutefois plusieurs d'entre les chefs mêmes crurent en lui; mais à cause des pharisiens ils ne le confessaient pas, de peur d'être exclus de la synagogue; | Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: | Tuttavia, anche tra i capi, molti credettero in lui; ma a motivo dei farisei non lo confessavano, per non essere espulsi dalla sinagoga, |
| 43 | car ils ont aimé la gloire des hommes plutôt que la gloire de Dieu. | For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. | perché amavano la gloria degli uomini più della gloria di Dio. |
| 44 | Et Jésus s'écria et dit: Celui qui croit en moi, ne croit pas en moi, mais en celui qui m'a envoyé; | Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. | Or Gesù gridò e disse: Chi crede in me, non crede in me, ma in colui che mi ha mandato. |

| 47 | Et si quelqu'un entend mes paroles et ne les garde pas, moi, je ne le juge pas; car je ne suis pas venu afin de juger le monde, mais afin de sauver le monde. | And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. | E se uno ode le mie parole e non crede, io non lo giudico; perché io non sono venuto a giudicare il mondo, ma a salvare il mondo. |
| 48 | Celui qui me rejette et qui ne reçoit pas mes paroles, a qui le juge; la parole que j'ai dite, celle-là le jugera au dernier jour. | He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. | Chi mi respinge e non accoglie le mie parole, ha chi lo giudica; la parola che ho annunziata sarà quella che lo giudicherà nell'ultimo giorno. |
| 49 | Car moi, je n'ai pas parlé de moi-même; mais le Père qui m'a envoyé, lui-même m'a commandé ce que je devais dire et comment j'avais à parler; | For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. | Perché io non ho parlato da me stesso, ma il Padre stesso mi ha mandato e mi ha comandato ciò che io devo dire ed annunziare. |
