| 3 | To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. | C'est à lui que le portier ouvre, et les brebis entendent sa voix; il appelle par leur nom ses brebis, et il les mène aux pâturages. |
| 4 | And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. | Quand il a fait sortir toutes ses brebis, il marche devant elles, et les brebis le suivent, parce qu'elles connaissent sa voix. |

| 9 | I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. | Je suis la porte : si quelqu'un entre par moi, il sera sauvé; il entrera, et il sortira, et il trouvera des pâturages. |
| 10 | The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. | Le voleur ne vient que pour dérober, égorger et détruire; moi, je suis venu pour que les brebis aient la vie, et qu'elles soient dans l'abondance. |

| 12 | But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. | Mais le mercenaire, qui n'est pas le pasteur, et à qui les brebis n'appartiennent pas, voit venir le loup, laisse là les brebis et prend la fuite; et le loup les ravit et les disperse. |

| 15 | As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. | Comme mon Père me connaît, et que je connais mon Père, et je donne ma vie pour mes brebis. |
| 16 | And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. | J'ai encore d'autres brebis qui ne sont pas de cette bergerie; il faut aussi que je les amène, et elles entendront ma voix et il y aura une seule bergerie et un seul pasteur. |
| 17 | Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. | C'est pour cela que mon Père m'aime, parce que je donne ma vie pour la reprendre. |
| 18 | No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. | Personne ne me la ravit, mais je la donne de moi-même; j'ai le pouvoir de la donner, et le pouvoir de la reprendre : tel est l'ordre que j'ai reçu de mon Père." |
| 19 | There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. | Il s'éleva de nouveau une division parmi les Juifs à l'occasion de ce discours. |
| 20 | And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? | Plusieurs d'entre eux disaient : "Il est possédé d'un démon, il a perdu le sens : Pourquoi l'écoutez-vous ?" |
| 21 | Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind? | D'autres disaient : "Ce ne sont pas là les paroles d'un possédé; est-ce qu'un démon peut ouvrir les yeux des aveugles ?" |
| 22 | And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. | On célébrait à Jérusalem la fête de la Dédicace; c'était l'hiver; |
| 23 | And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. | Et Jésus se promenait dans le temple, sous le portique de Salomon. |
| 24 | Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. | Les Juifs l'entourèrent donc et lui dirent : "Jusques à quand tiendrez-vous notre esprit en suspens ? Si vous êtes le Christ dites-le-nous franchement." |
| 25 | Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. | Jésus leur répondit : "Je vous l'ai dit, et vous ne me croyez pas : les oeuvres que je fais au nom de mon Père rendent témoignage de moi; |
| 26 | But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. | Mais vous ne me croyez point, parce que vous n'êtes pas de mes brebis. |
| 27 | My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: | Mes brebis entendent ma voix. Je les connais et elles me suivent. |
| 28 | And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. | Et je leur donne une vie éternelle, et elles ne périront jamais, et nul ne les ravira de ma main. |
| 29 | My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. | Mon Père qui me les a données, est plus grand que tous, et nul ne peut les ravir de la main de mon Père. |
| 30 | I and my Father are one. | Mon père et moi nous sommes un." |
| 31 | Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. | Les Juifs ramassèrent de nouveau des pierres pour le lapider. |
| 32 | Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? | Jésus leur dit : "J'ai fait devant vous beaucoup d'oeuvres bonnes qui venaient de mon Père : pour laquelle de ces oeuvres me lapidez-vous ?" |
| 33 | The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. | Les Juifs lui répondirent : "Ce n'est pas pour une bonne oeuvre que nous vous lapidons, mais pour un blasphème, et parce que, étant homme, vous vous faites Dieu; |
| 34 | Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? | Jésus leur répondit : "N'est-il pas écrit dans votre Loi : J'ai dit : vous êtes des dieux ? |
| 35 | If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; | Si la Loi appelle dieux ceux à qui la parole de Dieu a été adressée, et si l'Écriture ne peut être anéantie, |
| 36 | Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? | comment dites-vous à celui que le Père a sanctifié et envoyé dans le monde : Vous blasphémez, parce que j'ai dit : Je suis le Fils de Dieu ? |
| 37 | If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. | Si je ne fais pas les oeuvres de mon Père, ne me croyez pas. |
| 38 | But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. | Mais si je les fais, lors même que vous ne voudriez pas me croire, croyez à mes oeuvres : afin que vous sachiez et reconnaissiez que le Père est en moi, et que je suis dans le Père." |
| 39 | Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand, | Là-dessus, ils cherchèrent de nouveau à se saisir de lui, mais il s'échappa de leurs mains. |
| 40 | And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode. | Il s'en retourna au delà du Jourdain, dans le lieu où Jean avait commencé à baptiser; et il y demeura. |
| 41 | And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true. | Et beaucoup venaient à lui, disant : "Jean n'a fait aucun miracle; mais tout ce qu'il a dit de celui-ci était vrai." |
| 42 | And many believed on him there. | Et il y en eut là beaucoup qui crurent en lui. |
