| 4 | For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. | Car dans sept jours je ferai pleuvoir sur la terre pendant quarante jours et quarante nuits; et j'exterminerai de dessus la terre toute chose qui subsiste, laquelle j'ai faite. | poiché fra sette giorni farò piovere sulla terra per quaranta giorni e quaranta notti, e sterminerò dalla faccia della terra tutti gli esseri viventi che ho fatto. |

| 17 | And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth. | Et le déluge vint pendant quarante jours sur la terre; et les eaux crurent, et élevèrent l'arche, et elle fut élevée au-dessus de la terre. | E il diluvio venne sopra la terra per quaranta giorni; e le acque crebbero e sollevarono l'arca, che si alzò in alto sopra la terra. |
| 18 | And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. | Et les eaux se renforcèrent, et s'accrurent fort sur la terre, et l'arche flottait au-dessus des eaux. | Le acque ingrossarono e crebbero grandemente sopra la terra e l'arca galleggiava sulla superficie delle acque. |
| 19 | And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. | Les eaux donc se renforcèrent extraordinairement sur la terre, et toutes les plus hautes montagnes qui sont sous tous les cieux, en furent couvertes. | E le acque ingrossarono con grande forza sopra la terra; e tutte le alte montagne che erano sotto tutto il cielo furono coperte. |
| 20 | Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. | Les eaux se renforcèrent de quinze coudées par-dessus, et les montagnes en furent couvertes. | Le acque si alzarono quindici cubiti al di sopra di esse; e le montagne furono coperte. |
| 21 | And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: | Et toute chair qui se mouvait sur la terre expira, tant des oiseaux que du bétail, des bêtes à quatre pieds, et de tous les reptiles qui se traînent sur la terre, et tous les hommes. | Così perì ogni carne che si muoveva sulla terra: uccelli, bestiame, fiere, rettili di ogni sorta striscianti sulla terra e tutti gli uomini. |
| 22 | All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. | Toutes les choses qui étaient sur le sec, ayant respiration de vie en leurs narines, moururent. | Tutto quello che era sulla terra asciutta ed aveva alito di vita nelle sue narici morì. |
| 23 | And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark. | Tout ce donc qui subsistait sur la terre fut donc exterminé, depuis les hommes jusques aux bêtes, jusques aux reptiles, et jusques aux oiseaux des cieux; ils furent, dis-je, exterminés de dessus la terre; mais seulement Noé, et ce qui était avec lui dans l'arche, demeura de reste. | E tutti gli esseri viventi che erano sulla faccia della terra furono sterminati: dall'uomo fino al bestiame ai rettili e agli uccelli del cielo; essi furono sterminati dalla terra e non scampò che Noè con quelli che erano con lui nell'arca. |
