Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen. Then Joseph went in and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh. And from among his brethren he took five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh.
And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers. And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and our fathers.
They said morever unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen. And they said unto Pharaoh, To sojourn in the land are we come; for there is no pasture for thy servants` flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen.
And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee:Et Pharaon parla à Joseph, en disant: Ton père et tes frères sont venus vers toi.And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee:Allora il Faraone parlò a Giuseppe, dicendo: Tuo padre e i tuoi fratelli sono venuti da te;
The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.Le pays d'Egypte est à ta disposition; fais habiter ton père et tes frères dans le meilleur endroit du pays; qu'ils demeurent dans la terre de Goscen; et si tu connais qu'il y ait parmi eux des hommes habiles tu les établiras gouverneurs sur tous mes troupeaux.the land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and thy brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any able men among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.il paese d'Egitto è a tua disposizione; fa' abitare tuo padre e tuoi fratelli nella parte migliore del paese; dimorino pure nel paese di Goscen.
And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh. And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
And Pharaoh said unto Jacob, How old art thou?Et Pharaon dit à Jacob: Quel âge as-tu?And Pharaoh said unto Jacob, How many are the days of the years of thy life?
And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage. And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty years: few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.
And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh. And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from the presence of Pharaoh.
And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded. And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father's household, with bread, according to their families. And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father`s household, with bread, according to their families.E Giuseppe sostentò suo padre, i suoi fratelli e tutta la famiglia di suo padre, rifornendoli di pane, secondo il numero dei figli.
And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine. And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.
And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house. And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the grain which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh`s house.
And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth. And when the money was all spent in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for [our] money faileth. Perché dovremmo morire sotto i tuoi occhi? Poiché il nostro denaro è finito.
And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail. And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail.
And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year. And they brought their cattle unto Joseph; and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for the horses, and for the flocks, and for the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread in exchange for all their cattle for that year.
When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:Cette année étant finie, ils revinrent à lui l'année suivante, et lui dirent: Nous ne cacherons point à mon Seigneur, que l'argent étant fini, et les troupeaux de bêtes ayant été amenés à mon Seigneur, il ne nous reste plus rien devant mon Seigneur que nos corps, et nos terres.And when that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide from my lord, how that our money is all spent; and the herds of cattle are my lord`s; there is nought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:Passato quell'anno, tornarono da lui l'anno seguente e gli dissero: Non possiamo nascondere al mio signore che, siccome il denaro è finito e le mandrie del nostro bestiame sono passate in proprietà del mio signore, nulla più resta che il mio signore possa prendere tranne i nostri corpi e le nostre terre.
Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate.Pourquoi mourrions-nous devant tes yeux? Achète-nous et nos terres, nous et nos terres, pour du pain; et nous serons esclaves de Pharaon, et nos terres seront à lui; donne-nous aussi de quoi semer, afin que nous vivions, et ne mourions point, et que la terre ne soit point désolée.wherefore should we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, and that the land be not desolate.
And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh's.Ainsi Joseph acquit à Pharaon toutes les terres d'Egypte; car les Egyptiens vendirent chacun son champ, parce que la famine s'était augmentée, et la terre fut à Pharaon.So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine was sore upon them: and the land became Pharaoh`s.Così Giuseppe acquistò per il Faraone tutte le terre d'Egitto, perché gli Egiziani vendettero ciascuno il proprio campo, poiché la carestia li colpiva gravemente. Così il paese diventò proprietà del Faraone.
And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.Et il fit passer le peuple dans les villes, depuis un bout des confins de l'Egypte, jusques à son autre bout.And as for the people, he removed them to the cities from one end of the border of Egypt even to the other end thereof.Quanto al popolo, lo spostò nelle città, da un capo all'altro dell'Egitto;
Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands. Only the land of the priests bought he not: for the priests had a portion from Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them; wherefore they sold not their land.solo le terre dei sacerdoti non acquistò, perché i sacerdoti ricevevano una provvigione assegnata loro dal Faraone e vivevano della provvigione che il Faraone dava loro; per questo essi non vendettero le loro terre.
Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.Et Joseph dit au peuple: Voici, je vous ai acquis aujourd'hui, vous et vos terres à Pharaon, voilà de la semence pour semer la terre.Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.Poi Giuseppe disse al popolo: Ecco, oggi ho acquistato voi e le vostre terre per il Faraone; eccovi del seme; seminate la terra;
And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones. And it shall come to pass at the ingatherings, that ye shall give a fifth unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.al tempo del raccolto, ne darete il quinto al Faraone, e quattro parti saranno vostre per la semente dei campi, per il nutrimento vostro e di quelli di casa vostra, e per il nutrimento dei vostri bambini.
And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh's servants. And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find favor in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh`s servants.E quelli dissero: Tu ci hai salvato la vita!
And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part, except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh's.Et Joseph en fit une Loi qui dure jusques à ce jour, à l'égard des terres de l'Egypte, de payer à Pharaon un cinquième du revenu; les terres seules des Sacrificateurs ne furent point à Pharaon.And Joseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth; only the land of the priests alone became not Pharaoh`s.Giuseppe fece di questo una legge nel paese d'Egitto, che dura fino al giorno d'oggi, secondo la quale si deve dare la quinta parte del raccolto al Faraone.
And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly. And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen; and they gat them possessions therein, and were fruitful, and multiplied exceedingly.
And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven years. And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years: so the days of Jacob, the years of his life, were a hundred forty and seven years.
And the time drew nigh that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me; bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt:Or le temps de la mort d'Israël approchant, il appela Joseph son fils, et lui dit: Je te prie, si j'ai trouvé grâce devant tes yeux, mets présentement ta main sous ma cuisse, et jure-moi que tu useras envers moi de gratuité et de vérité; je te prie, ne m'enterre point en Egypte;And the time drew near that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said unto him, If now I have found favor in thy sight, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me: bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt;Quando il tempo della morte per Israele fu vicino, egli chiamò suo figlio Giuseppe e gli disse: Deh, se ho trovato grazia agli occhi tuoi, metti la tua mano sotto la mia coscia e usa con me benignità e fedeltà; di grazia, non seppellirmi in Egitto!
But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And he said, I will do as thou hast said. Et il répondit: Je le ferai selon ta parole.but when I sleep with my fathers, thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their burying-place. And he said, I will do as thou hast said. Egli rispose: Farò come tu dici.
And he said, Swear unto me. And he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed's head. And he said, Swear unto me: and he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed`s head.
